- Graham Griffith plays "When You Wish Upon a Star".
I'm playing Zane Beck's E13th tuning on my Anapeg S-12 pedal steel made by Noel Anstead From Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.
Too pretty a melody to bother with an improvisation.
Perfect for sitting on the porch sipping whiskey and watching the sun go down
Not a bad effect imo!
Indeed! A very pretty melody and beautifully done.
Thank you!
It’s just great ,Graham 😊 👍
Thanks Mark.
Amazing!
Thank you. Appreciated
I have never seen an instrument like that ever, but the fact it sounds so good, oml. Also nice job man! keep it up!!
@@WMSR_734 Thanks. Your encouragement is really appreciated.
@@hoola100 Ay Np Man! Keep doing Your Thing!! ^^

Thank you, Rick. Much appreciated
Nice chordal arrangement graham.i really enjoyed it.
Thanks Sam. It’s been a while. Hopefully we’ll meet up again some day.
Nice work Graham.
Thanks Mark. Very much appreciated.
Lovely Graham. Those pedal and levers always get me inspired. So much music available and all harmonies appear possible. A great job, beautifully played! Also a fantastic song. Mike
Thanks Mike. I really appreciate your feedback. This was sitting on my desktop from about two years ago. I discovered it while cleaning up the files. I’ll have to do more 😀.
You've inspired me Graham ... I did this several years ago on E9th, but now am trying to work it out on C6th ,,, thanks for the inspiration :)
@@steelinatune I’m subscribed to your channel and happy that you like what I did. I’ll have to check out your E9th version.
I just checked out your E9th version & it’s fabulous. That’s the beauty of different minds & interpretation. Thank you!
@@hoola100 Thank you Graham ... I agree ... its interesting how even hearing one note in a context not generally heard ends up turning into something else by how someone else interprets it.
@@hoola100 and I yours Graham… thank you
Wow! Graham that's beautiful. I have worked on that tune for a while. Never got it that good.
@@jimwebb8003 Thanks Jim. That’s a great compliment. It seems to sit on that tuning nicely. I love playing ballads.
Nice job. Haven't seen these pedal steels in the States at any steel shows. Sounds great. Is that a U12 with the universal tuning?
Thanks. Al Perkins has & Tom Brumley (had) Anapegs. A few other USA players as well. Made in Brisbane Australia but Noel Anstead has retired. Winnie Winston reviewed them way back giving them a “Rolls Royce” rating. The S12 tuning is Zane Beck’s which is essentially a universal tuning based on E13th strung low to high B E G# B D F# G# B C# E F# G#. One lever raises the D to E & the C# to D#. The B to C# raise also raises the C# to D … a very economical universal approach.
Needs some crazy long delay, great playing
@@cranque__7737 I reckon a wetter sound might’ve enhanced it. Thanks for the compliment.
That doesn't sound like E9. What tuning you using, Graham?
@@orbodman it’s Zane Beck’s tuning - essentially an E13th S12 universal tuning, playing I suppose in B6th mode.
