Cache of Civil War Bullets found Metal Detecting

Based on some new research, we have reevaluated the large cache of bullets that Elijah found in the treasure forest. Previously, we had no knowledge of three ringed .36 cal pistol balls in use in the civil war. Our current research points us to the fact that these bullets are indeed of civil war vintage.

I don't know civil war bullets, but I can follow your train of thought. I know that the nose of soft lead bullets will deform similar to that.

Thanks for the comment. I've never really seen fired soft lead until recently, and I was shocked to see the deformation

Yeah, Elijah really scored with all those bullets he found. Based on all of our research, the absolute newest they could be is 1880s, but I think the location and other evidence points to the civil war.
