Kawasaki is a long-established brand, and the Ninja 400 engine is reliable, proven, and tested; there is no doubt about that. CFmoto, aren't new players either. They have been around for decades, are known for their ATVs and UTVs, and have a joint venture with Pierer Mobility (which owns KTM). So CF Moto actually manufactures engines for several KTM models, as well as using KTM engines in some of their bikes. In some regions, KTM also supports the dealer network, takes over distribution, and provides parts for CF motos. About the 450SR's reliability, they claim they’ve tested the motor to over 4000 hours of high-revving punishment on the engine dyno and are confident in its reliability. But it's a completely new model with a brand new engine, so in terms of how long it'll last, only time will tell. So if your priorities are reliability, resale value, aftersales service, and looking for learner bikes as a stepping stone before you move up to bigger displacement bikes, the Ninja 400 is your best bet. But if you have the same budget but are looking for more modern bikes (in terms of styling, equipment, and features), don't care about resale value, and are willing to take a risk by buying from a less established brand, you might want to try the 450SR. And for CFMoto riders, please share your experience and your thoughts about your bikes in a comment below. Do you recommend them?

Aside from a classic Ducati like a 998 just for cool factor(and acknowledging ill be wrenching), any serious riding I do is on Japanese bikes because there's literally nothing that can compete in the long term durability and ease of maintenance and I don't think that'll ever change. Can't tell you how many people I know with Aprilia's that have to have constant maintenance work on them-- electronics, leaks you name it -- I don't doubt these CF are "decent" but I'd seriously doubt that they do better than the European brands which all have much more extensive maintenance and shorter mileage lifespans than Japanese.
I think I’m afew years once the 450 has become established and people realize it’s a solid bike, and take away the Chinese stereotype for this bike, and parts become available, it will dominate over the ninja 400.
I get way better mileage in my Ninja than that 25 km/l is only 58 MPG. I get closer to 70 MPG. I wonder is the suspension on the CF good enough for serious sport riding / track days out of the box like the Ninja?

If a had a chance i still choose kawasaki n400. Still can match the 450sr on topend. Japan brand has different power output compare to china brand.realtalk. Imagine sr has 50cc more displacement but ninja400 can still match
China is still China. cfmoto manual states oil needs to be changed every 3000km, while ninja oil changes in manual are 4 times more - 12000km, there goes your cfmoto reliability.
Ninja 400 has a shitbox for a tank , its super unergonomic . Also soft as hell suspension that dives on the slightest touch of the front brake. Both the 450 dosnt have.

Hello, at the 4:50 mark, you said the 450SS had an Optional adjustable seat, where can I find out more about this? Im not finding anything about it
I just love the green on the ninja
I think I’m afew years once the 450 has become established and people realize it’s a solid bike, and take away the Chinese stereotype for this bike, and parts become available, it will dominate over the ninja 400.
My local motorcycle dealer sells cfmoto and kawasaki its gonna be real hard decided between these 2 when I get my first bike
For Ninja 400 Austin Racing❤
For 450 SR Scproject ❤
it looks so good too
So informative.
Is the australian spec the same as the European spec or American Spec?
What next? 500cc? 550cc? 600cc? 650cc?
Why cant these manufacturers make the bikes too a racing class?
bro, when aprillia sr440 releases please compare it with the cfmoto 450srs
Japanese bikes need to level up their game Chinese bikes are becoming popular and a no brainer choice
I get way better mileage in my Ninja than that 25 km/l is only 58 MPG. I get closer to 70 MPG. I wonder is the suspension on the CF good enough for serious sport riding / track days out of the box like the Ninja?
Kawasaki lovehere but the design of cfmoto is amazing
I though the 450sr here in SEA (Philippines to be exact) is the same as 450ss in the west? CFmoto should have used the same specs for those.
because of Euro4 regulations, u cannot ride a 2stroke motorcycle anymore in European countries meanwhile u can smoke 2stroke like fogging machine in Philippines
Yamaha is playing catch up again and at the bottom of this category. I just hope they replace the R3 with something like an R5 just to beat CFMoto but the challenge will be is the pricing.
I just got the ninja 400 because my insurance on the 450 was like twice as much
450 SR ... Inverted forks!!!! YES!
l hope that cf moto can handle 5000km per year
Wrong facts. The 450sr weight is a full tank 179 kg and empty tank weight 168 kg. ninja 400 weight is a empty tank 168 kg and full tank same like a 450sr 179 kg. Sou weight is same both bike.
I'm still going Kawasaki. The Chinese don't have a good track record.
450SR rocks ❤❤
hi men, jaja i say u, this is a good comparation, tanks for read my email ! jajaja
do the qj srk400 RR against the ktm 390
can i ride this with a 5'4 height?
450 just killed the ninja 400 and r3
450sr cost 4090 usd price.
You guys seen how Ktm tested there 790 engines for days but still look what happened… unreliable lmao
If a had a chance i still choose kawasaki n400. Still can match the 450sr on topend. Japan brand has different power output compare to china brand.realtalk.
Imagine sr has 50cc more displacement but ninja400 can still match
you're just naive to think you're bang for bucks is better with the ninja 400
I think the 450SR have 50HP not 47HP
China is still China. cfmoto manual states oil needs to be changed every 3000km, while ninja oil changes in manual are 4 times more - 12000km, there goes your cfmoto reliability.
vtwin sound urgh...miss my aprilia
the 450sr is $8,000
No it’s not in America
You cant compare Chinese bike with Japanese one.
Kawasaki is king
Kawasaki is pissing themselves laughing in zx400r
Come on man. Gp shift isn't a feature and you can do it to pretty much any bike in about 5 minutes. This isn't a reason to buy or not buy.
damn
,,Still the KAWASAKI is the best. The CF moto bikes is eye candy but still Made in China.👎🤧
I think CF Moto it’s still behind,I’m not even confidential buying it
Are there any idiots out there who trust catalogs and buy bikes?
new king is Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4RR
Does it only come in green?
@@Nene_760 I don’t know depending on zx10rr yes, i saw images on goggle of zx4r black and blue hope there will be other colors for rr too.
if you can afford it. you're basically paying an extra $5000-$6000 USD for an exhaust note.
Original big bikes is different to authentic big bikes
my god please just voice your videos this speech synthesis is absolutely unwatchable
RS440 looks more tempting than either of these.
Problems us parts for cf moto
l was have big problems
On 300cc sr with parts and it s too expesive and not good quality
Ninja 400 has a shitbox for a tank , its super unergonomic . Also soft as hell suspension that dives on the slightest touch of the front brake.
Both the 450 dosnt have.
This calls for a change in fork oil for a bigger rider. Simple fix for non-adjustable forks.
The review says tank sizes are the same.... Shit box on the CF too?.
Chinese junk
Made in China...😢
and yet you don't even have one of these great bikes, poor thing
...like almost everything. CFMOTO are miles above the average/stereotypical Chinese bike-in-a-box.
Cfmoto probably the only Chinese bike that have good quality
Keep it mind ninja revs crazy high and it'll sound so much better
Never. 270>180 any day! But i do agree in a certain rev 180 sounds awesome but it's gonna cost you a lot because it only happens way past 9000rpm. It howls like an r1 to be honest. 270 growl's like an r1.
Yep, when you wind out each gear it'll sound better than this video.
Made in Japan vs made in China 😂... That's enough for me to choose...
bruh, grow up. its not like you're ordering from Ali-express. KTM motors are also 'made in china'
@@samholsink6843 I told Japan dude... Not Austria... China's motors/bikes maybe be awesome and sturdy, but they are proven yet... Some years should pass to have final opinion about them. Don't know if you understand me. I have a Kawasaki and also have a Chinese scooter... I use both daily, no one let me down. Just i prefer Japanese engineering...
@@georgestam1710 ah okay, my bad.
thats what they said about japanese made vehicles in the 90s ;)
Chinese made vehicles are the new Japanese Vehicles
450 SR!! 👍
Please make a video for CF Moto 450SR Vs Aprilia RS457. 🙏🏻
BTW Ninja 400 can make 65-70 HP with A little mod Tho.
I think you're talking about the zx4rr?
U means zx4rr? Not ninja4
@@izen_ Ninja400 not zx4rr, In thailand we mod ninja400 to 70 HP tho
@@deeznutx Ninja400 not zx4rr, In thailand we mod ninja400 to 70 HP tho
@@belivefc damn that must be a monster considering its light weight

Awesome video, thank you 🙏🏻
do you know what did happen Second Gear?
You earned a subscriber, PERFECT schemes and visual effects. Please do this even more
In France we haven’t the Kawasaki anymore 🥲
Wow. RIP
Just buy R7 and it will satisfy you.
Not if you want long ride comfort.
@@salskars6637is the ninja good with long ride comfort ?
@@Nene_760 - Absolutely - all day.
I purchased a seat from China that has a bit more padding yet still minimal (no granny seat or expensive Corbin). Got it within weeks after purchasing the N400, so I never road long distances with the stock which is thin. This seat has just enough padding to slightly minimize forward slide/nut crunch (which is not bad to start with).
I have a Honda Interceptor 800 Sport Tourer and the N400 is more comfortable ergonomically -and lighter by 158lbs.
In case anyone is interested, the seat is:
