@@mjtr-i7160 According to their dyno runs, I am getting about 52 or 53 horsepower at the rear wheel. That is about 7 or 8 more horsepower than stock. The Fastest I’ve been able to get my bike and it’s completely stock other then I have taken my muffler off is 130-132mph I had to really push the bike to even get it up to that speed, so to see that it’s getting up to 138 I can only wonder how fast I can get the bike up to
I went with stage 1 dna filter which trades some airflow for better filter protection, would it still make sense to get the lid from DNA? Currently just running the yoshi slip on looking forward to the dyno results with that.
I have a 2024 450SS I put a Yoshimura slip on pipe with stock headers. I use it for my daily to work. I have got it up to 125 MPH that’s only because I hit the rev limiter. I would love to have you tune it . I about to change my air filter to the DNA What do you charge for a tune?
This might be a stupid question but will these mods work on the 450 NK? An interesting note is that I rode both the SS and NK back to back and feel like the NK pulls a little harder than the SS in stock to stock configuration. Theoretically they are the same basic bike with different fairings, bars, and front brakes. Still it seemed like the NK had a harder hit off the bottom than the SS. I didn't run them up to the limiter in top gear so I cannot attest to any speed difference. It could be possible that the NK runs a different chain wheel setup which makes it feel a bit more torquey earlier on. Either way, I am looking at the NK because I plan to use it as a play/commuter and prefer the seating position. I have scoured the web for full exhaust kits, tail tidy kits, etc and this exhaust is by far the nicest sounding and looking unit I have come across to date; granted it is also the most expensive but from your dyno results it is not without merit as a 10% gain in RWHP, torque, and revs is nothing to sneeze at from a couple of bolt on parts and an ECU tune.
We do know that the ECU software is the same between the 2 motorcycles.. we have not tried this particular exhaust yet on the NK but we will soon! We will try and get the NK back on the dyno and film it next time and try more exhaust options
@@RealTalkPowersports I love 270 degree twins and had been considering a Royal Enfield GT until I caught a video on the NK450 and since seeing your footage of Dyno pulls and tunes, I am more inclined to build one of these. The RE 650 has a 200cc displacement advantage yet the 450 throws equal to slightly better HP figures in stock form. Where the RE has its advantage is that it produces roughly 10 more lb-ft of torque in stock form and that torque comes on much earlier in the revs. However, the 450 has a longer rev range and with your ECU tune that is approximately 5k more revs to work with. For what the RE costs new without any mods at all, I can literally do everything to the 450 you have demonstrated in this video.
