Do well in school brother. Take it from me, I just finished college. These last 6 years set you up for the rest of your life. It’s not like it’s impossible to do well in life with bad grades - but your life will be VERY easy if you do get good grades lol. That’s the best way to put it for someone young. Your life will be easy as hell as long as you do well in school 🤝🏼
@@wrenchhead3692 yeah I’ve already convinced my mom to let me buy a motorcycle whenever I can, just as long as I buy myself a car FIRST and THEN the motorcycle for some reason, but I won’t complain lol
Honestly man, I can tell you love riding a lot. I myself have a 24 ZX-6R, and you are great on the bike and traffic. Keep posting, would love to join you on this journey
got my first bike at 18 in 1991 , was a 250 RGV 2 Stroke then one year later got a GSXR 1100 91. New bikes are just filled with electronics compared to the old bikes.Still have my RGV and a K6 1000 for every day use since 2007 , never left suzuki models. ride safe young man cheers from europe
I went and got my permit as soon as i turned 18, went to a dealership and bought a brand new 2018 cbr500r. Bike lasted me 2 seasons of riding before i got bored, it will definitely happen to you too. Unless you plan on keeping it to teach someone to ride, or sell it to a friend learning to ride, you're gonna end up getting rid of it lmao. Best to get the drops and growing pains out of the way on a cheaper much slower bike anyway. Been almost 7 years but I have a completely modded out 2020 kawi 636 these days, those extra 2 cylinders make all the difference. Ride safe brother!
Yo it’s not really boring you just gotta take some breaks and then get back i recommend riding with friends so it’s not boring and you guys have fun together
Man living in europe sucks I can only get 125 as a junior. Still hoping I can convince my parents to let me get one haha. Love seeing these types of videos and how it looks for a full beginner to be on the road for the first time. Keep riding man hope you post more))
I don't know how old you are, but be patient until you turn 18 (if you're under 18 of course) and go for A2 license. Better to hold on for a bit and ride something like Ninja 400/500, R3, CFMOTO 450SR and such than to pass driving test for A1 and ride 125cc
European and North American streets are way different too so 125 feels plenty fast enough when you are first starting out, just seems to be a shame that 125 prices are so high at the moment :(
Hey man, about the engine breaking. You should never really use your clutch unless you're at a stand still and taking off, coming to a stand still or going up/down a gear. Letting go off the gas will put the engine in compression and it will slow down the bike. About 60% of the stopping power actually comes from the engine and not the brakes itself. When braking apply the 10% front 30% rear brake ratio and don't overapply the brakes, try to squeeze it like you're squeezing a lemon. Get used to rev matching when downshifting all the time.
I'm in the same boat i just bought my ninja 400 last month shits so fun. Waiting for the Utah weather to be good to ride more its been hella rainy recently got to ride it today tho.
Ride safe, mate! 🙏 Planning to get a new bike as soon as I have the money to even spend haha. If you're planning to upgrade your ninja, then I'd love to see some Honda cbr650r content soon 👀
Awesome video, hoping to get my first bike in a few months and im trying to learn everything i can! Also, how damn far away do you live from your school?! 😂
Lmaoooo I totally felt the struggle of getting it out the driveway. I'm short af and even tho my bike is lowered, the sheer weight and the fact I STILL can't put my feet down make it an awful task🤣(mine's a kawa z400 so....p similar size. ur's might be a tad heavier tho idk)
Take the warning sticker off of your gas tank. As of right now being a brand new bike it won't have an impact on the paint. You leave that out in the sun for a little bit and go to take off that sticker, you will see a paint difference.
just so u know i am not hating or anything like that but a 650 is slower that a 600 so if u wanna get a 600cc bike i recommend like a cbr600rr or r6 or a zx6r
in my opinion miles don’t matter as long as you are willing to take care of it. Always ask for the title and check with the dmv so that they can do a background check on it, and just make sure the chain is not rusted and the slack isn’t too bad, look for scratches that aren’t mentioned on the page but yea Goodluck man😅
You can take a motorcycle course at the DMV but the MSF course teaches you the basics of riding it also allows you to skip the DMV wait time by a chunk/makes your insurance cheaper. You get a little card after completing the MSF course take it to the DMV and they add the Class M to your license
Since you are now on a 400cc, there is no need to upgrade to a 650 cc ,it is basically the same thing 2 cylinders. My suggestion is get comfortable with that 400, and when it's time for you to upgrade, go for a 4 cylinder like 600-1000cc.
Anyone who hates on this bike just wants to go 175 on the interstate lol I got a wider back tire I think its a 165 instead of 150 and this bike absolutely DIGS into turns man... I have no need to go over 100+ on the interstate and I just have fun in the suburbs and I don't think I can ever sell it...... I want a ZX6 but I will just have to fork up the money instead of trading it in because this bike in the twisties just shits on everyone lol
What made you get a 400 instead of a 650? I’m just curious because I’m a new rider and I didn’t want to start something small like an R3 but of course is not reasonable to get a 600
From my personal experience a 400 is way more forgiving. I already have gone down a couple of times from going too fast, and I felt like if that was a 600 instead of a 400 i would've ended up with a broken leg. A 650 also doesn't have that much more HP then a 400 but everyone has different views.
If you pay for your own bike and pay for your own insurance, yes like he said get the bike and ask for forgiveness later. If they pay for your insurance, good luck 😂
Bike looks slow.. You seem a little nervous mate, don't try and ride the bike, learn the corners, the lines.. Ive been riding since I was 6, im 53 now.. No disrespect but even if you had the dollar! Don't buy a H2..... It will go faster than your 400 in 1st gear.. I had a 93 ZXR 400 & it did 132 mph.. Why have they restricted these new bikes? Step up to a ZX6R.... More power, but all bikes go as fast as you want them to.. Safe riding though mate
You seem very comfortable on the bike and in traffic which is a good start! Good luck G
