If people want to go for even easier AND faster one, try this: Level up 3 gunners (I'd say at least one needs to have level 3 trigger happy, and the other two level 2), and just chain the Trigger Happies. Once one of the girls ends hers, the other one begins. You can take a small break between them, since Chac has quite long hit stun animation. You'll see for yourself. Chac never even got to do a single hit. You should set your ATB on 'Fast' via config, and also battle system should be 'active' instead of 'wait'. This way you also get the 99-chain trophy easily. I think I was around level 70 on all the girls when I did it.
Amazing!!! Thank you. This worked on my 2nd try after failing many other methods even at level 99, although I lowered the ATB to normal & wait as it was too fast for my fingers to trigger, took less than a minute, got a chain trophy and not a single stony glare hit me 😸

+Ethan Woollard Yes, it was nerfed in the International/HD version. Once you get to critical HP you automatically get put in berserk and slow. A Speed Bracer will fix the slow problem, but nothing will fix being put in berserk which automatically forces you to use physical attacks. Which means no Trigger Happy strategy. It's actually no big deal anymore though however, since Creature Creation is incredibly broken, and you can feed creatures items and accessories to get their stats to max then stun-lock Chac as long as your luck stat is maxed at 255. Which is easy to do. If you beat Jumbo Cactuar with the GG that guarantees rare drops (which is a battle you can access in Creature Arena at will if you've done it in the Tournament), you always get a Rabbite's Foot. This increases luck by 5 each time you feed it to a monster. Max luck is kind of amazing on physical attackers like Tonberry and Cactuar. Or even human creatures like Lucil, Elma, Tidus, Auron and Trema. Max luck combined with Quick Hit is this game's version of GOD. You can beat Almighty Shinra without being touched with that strategy. Then use Almighty Shinra to dominate everything as it is the best monster I think you can get. Alternatively, you can even (painstakingly - since it isn't guaranteed) farm the Youth League Cup for Shmooth Shailing, which increases ALL your stats by 5 per feed. Just watch out for the EX-Crimson Squad team. They'll annihilate you pretty easily since they all have attacks that do fixed damage and ignore defense. It takes some grinding for the items, but Creature Creation is a far better alternative to using Trigger Happy and Catnip, now. You can even teach creatures break HP/damage limit. It's the best thing ever since it requires zero GG rotation and the stats are permanent once applied as long as you don't release the monster.

It's just now nerfed so you can't use the Trigger Happy strategy anymore. It can still be useful though...just not AS useful anymore thanks to the berserk/slow stats being applied.

Or give the girls the equipment you have that gives the highest agility and highest strength without giving you status ailments like bloodlust. You want to put your agility up as high as you can and your strength also without causing berserk or something like that. Don’t bother using speed bracers. All you have to do is keep hitting Chac with timing and to stun block him and keep your chain going. You’ll beat him in about 20 seconds. No items. No revives, no KOs. You can even get the 99hit combo trophy doing this. You’ll slap him so hard you’ll laugh at that you used to think it was tough.

I can go with this strategy, except change it up a little my way. First, go to Party Members, and set only one of the 3 girls in the battle team to fight alone, I'd pick Paine, since her attack animation in the Berserker Dressphere is the fastest. I found an easier method that requires very little work honestly. First farm auto haste item. Arena fight three chocobos, use random slots and pause buffer to get three 7. Very easy to do, took me like 5 mins. That ensure you win, and gets you like 4 or 6 auto haste items. Now you quckly farm the chocobo tourney for rabbites foots. 100 luck boom. Now you set your grid to get fiest strike and then just attack. Once chacs stun animation is done, second lerson attacks, (his head is ablut to returm to normal pose) and repeat. He wont get a single attack in. And with the extra luck its always a crit allowing you a bit more lee way to chain them together. You can also use gunner i think with same set up, lvl three trigger time or whatever its called, once jts almlst done chain the next one, repeat. You might not even need the haste with how long the attack is bjt better safe than sorry.
Francesco Berardini drain her mana. If you still are having a hard time, you may do the 3 thief / haste bangle strat. You have to be good at timing so Chac won't even be able to attack or cast anything, though
It's Chef's Knife is a non-elemental physical attack that ignores defense. So, it can use Cry in the Night while Oversouled. If you ask me, I got it for Yuna so far. You need to take out 16 regular Tonberries in Via Infinitio, and then go to Fiend Arena and challenge Tonberry the Ripper. Make sure all 3 girls' Physical Defense is maxed out to 255. And since the Mega Tonberry casts Firaga, it's feasible to use the Heart of Flame Garment Grid, for its innate Fire Eater. That or the Psychic Dressphere also has Fire Eater, Excellence (Invincibility), Magic Guard (Null Magic vs Non-elemental Magic), and Physics Guard (Null Physical vs Chef's Knife).
It works, because I've tried this. You drain her MP and she can't cast Heaven's Cataract. She only casts Heaven's Cataract when there's only one character left. Another strategy is 3 Thieves with Speed Bracers and Sprint Shoes.
