As a fellow Nikker, I can 100% recommend it as a first gacha game for people who've never played any gacha game. I know people will take one look at it and say "oh that's the ass shaking game" but boy if only they knew the actual *plot.*

Unfortunately a good plot does not excuse mediocre gameplay (and designs). But it is definitely an easy money generator since it's targeted to addicts!

For now, it seems like you haven't hit the wall yet, once you hitting the level 160 on your 5 most powerful characters, you'll have to pray and hope you get 5 max core Nikke (doesn't matter which Nikke, it'll work regardless), so you can break the level limit to go above 160 (you can go beyond 200 if you already reach sync level 200)
I'd recommend shifting your focuses to all the characters that's already at max core (which is 3* if you have any) by resetting the character you've built previously to get all the upgrades materials back (cost as little at 10 gems) dump it all into nikke that already have full core, then put the previous unit you use into synchro instead, until those five max core nikke reach level 200.
Equipment modification will become possible after you obtain Tier 9 Manufacturer equipment, you'll need module to be able to upgrade your T9 gear to "OVERLOAD" (AKA T10)
To get those module and manufacturer gears, you have to clear special individual interception (the lowest one in the interception tab) drop chance isn't always guaranteed.. you might not get what you need or worse, nothing at all
Edits: I've look back at your roster, you're pretty close to have 5 max core Nikke! I don't know how long you've been playing already, but getting 3 max core nikkes out of 5 at sync level 130 is really impressive! I stuck at 160 for month and half! 😂
i have been playing since day 1 without spending nothing and here is a list of cons that i can think of on the top of my head:
1. most enemies in event stories makes no sense (fighting raptures when you and your nikkes are fighting mobs of outer rim gangers)
2. costume gacha
3. the *WALL* and the fact that you can't ever change the nikkes you put as to break the *WALL* and if you're just trying to get through it you will be stuck with dogshit nikkes that had to be there just because you need to break the *WALL*
4. lack of interesting enemy mechanics
The saving grace of BA is that your luck mostly controls how hard the game can be....still clearable with minimum amount of characters...but 4/6 months in you'll only be missing like 20/25 characters Wich most will be fest/limited characters
Nike on the other hand...gives you quite the Chances to push for a character you aimed for...the campaign can be challenging enough and the grind...is...maybe less than genshin...so good enough....
I thought it was a meme game at first like "hehe h*ntai game approved by Chinese once again" but it has its points tbh

Read stories of everyone even if you skip, that's 50 free gems each (50 at bond 1, 250 total at bond 10)
My main issues with Nikke are the story and the constant reminders that you can spend money after doing ANYTHING.
Like, the story's main problem is that you can only play 9 missions a day, since the game doesn't give you enough upgrades to max out your own characters or at least have them be strong enough to fight without borrowing max level friend Nikkes. This, in turn, borks the pacing of the story, and makes it harder to get invested, even if I can see why people would really like it

And that's setting aside how our main heroine Nikkes feel "vanilla sexy" rather than having stronger synergy between personality appeal and design, even if I will give credit that they at least have personality quirks to them and the story does have moments that I can see someone else really liking, at least compared to what I'm hearing about Stellar Blade's story. But the body types of the main Counters are kinda static choices compared to some of the side Nikkes or ones that don't get a lot of screen time like Exia.
And speaking of the story, after completing anything in the game, they keep holding flash sales over and over, constantly reminding you that you can spend money. This is probably Tencent's influence, but it's bloody annoying when a F2P game doesn't trust me to put money down on my own accord, inadvertently making me wanna spend no money or even just drop it... Funny enough, Blue Archive doesn't do this despite being a Nexon game, and because of that, I'm more likely to spend on the upcoming Dress Hina event.

The gameplay not really enticed me either
