WWJD?? Buy a bunch of firecrackers, get all hopped up on puntas (the local version of everclear but harsher, if that’s possible), and go nuts of course! 😂😂🤣

I would love to go to the markets there and try every single spice, fruit and vegetable. The Podocarpus National Park has about 4000 plant species. Botanists go there for weeks and barely scratch the surface.

The markets are amazing! And you can throw a rock and hit 3 little tienditas in virtually any little town that stock fresh organic produce for next to nothing, which I miss. Podocarpus is amazing! I can’t wait to explore it more. I didn’t know at the time, but my Ecuadorian sister’s place is on the Amazonian side of the park so I kind of got to see its two extremes.
Ps: I have not forgotten that I am sending you two sources of Ecuadorian botany, John C.. I am just slow 🤷🏻‍♀️😬😆

After 2.5 yrs in Cuenca I am considering moving to Vilca area..just too cold in Cuenca ..

Cuenca is cold.. Vilca temps are pretty solidly mild year-round, but there are def plenty of drawbacks to being down there as well. Best of luck finding a place you live with more moderate temps! 😊

Hello from East Texas! I am seriously considering visiting Vilca in a few months. It seems like a great community. The restaurants looks like you stepped back into the states. I saw a white truck, with green stripes drive past you 2 times. Was that the local police? Ty for sharing your content!

Hello! There are definitely lots of expats in vilca relative to the whole population and very popular. And yes, lots of restaurants cater to that population like Jimmy’s and Paddy’s. The trucks are actually cabs.. because most the roads are dirt and steep, 4WD may be necessary. Have a great visit!

Oh sweetheart I'm so sorry to inform you that the majority of your health elements are probably from dairy in general.
Cow's milk is for cow babies not for humans, there's not one species of animal on this planet that drinks milk after there are baby, and also drinks milk from another animal..... Besides humans.
I'm a registered nutritionist and dietician and I'm working on my phd right now. Trust me when I say no matter what you've been told no matter what you think in my own research and my own scientific studies I have seen nothing but negative outcomes with dairy in the human body.

Thanks darlin, nothing like getting a health diagnosis from a stranger on the internet predicated on the viewing of one video.. what could possibly go wrong?
Of course other animals drink milk from other animals; animals are just as opportunistic as we are, if not more so, not having to worry about ethical issues or morality or whatnot. Hyperbole for hyperbole's sake is not probably overly-helpful when it comes to establishing trust as a medical / health professional.
As for consuming dairy, or anything else for that matter, there is no one-size-fits-all for nutritional parameters. Surely you will have learned that at some point in your studies. Personally, as long as they keep making cheese, I'll still be eating probably too much of it. (Except in Ecuador, where good cheese is hard to find)
Best of luck on your PhD.

It was hard to listen to you immediately starting off disrespecting Ecuadoran culture. And the vulgar language and entitlement. I couldn't get past it.

Well, we should probably never meet in person because you would probably die of the vapors in 30 seconds if you thought this was vulgar 😂 but tell me more about the entitlement and disrespect... I am super curious about that
