dunno if anyone gives a shit but if you guys are stoned like me during the covid times you can watch all of the latest movies and series on InstaFlixxer. I've been watching with my girlfriend for the last few weeks =)
Thanks so much for this and the other streams. i just upgraded from 4.0 and have watched countless hours of contenton this channel over the past few weeks. Thank you for making such an inspiring and fun creative tool!
Propellerhead, thanks for continuing to make helpful videos and great products! In future releases, please consider adding multitimbral support for VST instruments so we can send more than one MIDI channel to a software instrument (such as Omnisphere or Kontakt 5).
I'm deeply grateful - this was more helpful than you guys could imagine. I first bough R4 and the interface has changed SO much I was lost and looking for tutorials. There are so many out there but they're all super advanced tweaking kinds of things that I had no context for so they were lost on me. I now feel like I can walk into R10 with confidence on several of the devices, which'll make it easier to catch up on the others I'm new to.
Nowdays everyone invested in great vst's, they believes that it is urgent to give us new instruments, OK, what can I say? well, I see that the others companies revisit the ergonomics of their software, improves tools, interface and workflow... propellerheads make good decisions... thank you for your Kalimba & stuff, go ahead!!!
I tried out Pangea's Lakeside Pipe Organ and added some big chords (like, REALLY big)...there's only one word I can use to describe how it sounds: *IMMENSE.*
Love these videos and can't wait to get my hands on Reason 10! Upgraded to Reason 9.5 two weeks ago and loved the dual arps, scales & chords and note echo + VST functionality (even if I don't really need it). Please keep making these videos also when there are no updates; these are just gold and REALLY helpful. Tack!
there is a refill from the klang re from soundiron the refill is called tuned micro refill all the patches are in the refill and the strucked piano too. and most of the patches from hunana are in sound iron olympus micro refill.
That's pretty shady. Along with the Radical Piano, Syncronous (that many of us already own1 or both of) and 3 Gigs of drums and loops we probably already have most, if not all of...thanks Propellerdeads. You continue catering to new users and keep ignoring your LOYAL customers. These actions are putting the company at risk of failling in the long run.
Thanks for this great update! I really hope that the next thing which you guys will update the orchestral samples + making a decent solution for legato capabilities in the old nnxt sampler.
Been looking forward to this for some time- the "Europa" and "Grain" streams were EXCELLENT!! Cheers to making the most creative, organic, "tactile" DAW out there, guys. It's the only tool I'll ever need.
Nice job Props. All the new instruments are really great! I'll be jumping on this upgrade even though the most important changes I need in Reason aren't here yet. You have proven yourselves great instrument makers. Now can we please direct our attention to the harder stuff? Thanks.
Omniphere 2 has the best sound out of any vst.. You guys should get in contact with spectrasonics their sampling of acoustic instruments is the best I've heard
Not sure why they didn't just explain the simple process, and product, to make Radical Piano's Sustain work continuously. 1. You need a MIDI keyboard with a separate Volume jack. Sustain jacks on most MIDI keyboards are just on / off. 2. Connect, for example, a Roland DP-10 pedal to your MIDI keyboard's Volume jack. 3. Create a Radical Piano, right-click the Sustain bar, click Edit Remote Override Mapping, tap your foot on the DP-10 so it "learns", then click OK.
Kept hoping for a surprise, like 'Oh, and we updated the Sequencer and Mixer and other core elements in this, out 10th version of Reason.' Or something. Nope.
all these new devices should be in the shop. if your not hurting for sounds then there's nothing really being offered in 10 but the exact same program you are using now. Props sure does know how to push the glitter though 😁
Good job guys - all 3 streams! Awesome new devices. Would still love to see updated separate rack extensions based on the original Rebirth devices. Will upgrade though.
Don't want to sound like some kind of dafty but Mattius how are you zooming in on things? Basic tools like this would be a great help as a lot of buttons i can barely see and also any more players in the future?
Thanks Mattias. Just installed version 10 and have to say it's fab. Granular synthesis is too cool for school! I have the dilemma of not having enough lifetimes to use all this to the max. Keep up the good work. You rock dude!
1:00:10 Ryan- "I find I use it often as the worlds quickest sidechain effect" and then 1:05:11 Mattias- "it's not actually sidechain because there's no other signal ... it's a pump effect" Ryan: "it's almost like a pet peeve of mine that people refer to pumping as sidechain" LOL Ryan you self-loathing duder :)
Exactly! They are running out of ideas or milking our money slowly. Where is our compression and eq upgrades? Why is ReCycle still full price to Reason owners? Why hasn't the zoom function been addressed fully? How about they just added 3 GiGs of baggage I didn't ask for with all the drum kits I probably already own. They aren't listening to user requests like they should be. Sorry.
+dahDougieBoy This could all be done on an NN19 in a combinator with a delay and a reverb, but the point of these is that it's more convenient than that. Everything you need is in one device. In addition, there isn't quite as much velocity-sensitive variation in an NN-19; for example, if you had a kalimba NN-19 patch, hitting the keys harder wouldn't add that twangy sound. It would only make the sound a bit louder. Frankly if you can't see the creative potential in this update, I really don't see why you use Reason (that is, if you do). I think Image-Line or Ableton will gladly take ya.
Its cool to have more instruments to create but what we need is quality instruments that sound real with more depth and better sampling like omnisphere or yamaha motif XF type of sound! Quality not quantity of instruments that professional will use more.
Does anyone know about the integration with multitimbral controllers like roli seaboard or midi breath controlers like TEControl and reason 9.5 or reason 10?
By the Folder Matthias makes a song, I get an idea ... How about to implement a function to save "Midi Lines" as favourites. So you can choose them like loops in Dr. Octorex - But with the ability to use it in already patched instruments. Normaly if you add a midi line, it will overwrite it with the ID8 instrument. But what if, when you could choose it from the file browser without overwriting the patch you already done ? - I think it would be a nice function to implement.
Best solution for people who don't want to mess up thier studio systems. Btw: 100MB upload, if this is your problem make a call @ your ISP..., welcome to the year 2017 ;)
There are many, many offline tools, but that was not the initial question...: Quote: " i dont have to use 3rd party software" and in this case an online converter is the only solution that makes sense, since Reason can't export mp3 for itself.
@Argo Beats And what's up with those who bought syncronous and the sound iron REs that have the klang Pangea n kazoo? Figuratively speaking, we get slapped in the face.
cant wait to try the new content, but still i hope PH does something about the "vst problems" that reason has. New content is all good and nice, but i hope the team is focused on getting vst´s working on a Propellerhead level. So far i would call it more than unworthy.#Reason10
I was not planning on getting the Reason 10 upgrade. I have Synchronous, wasn't interested in Radical Piano and the new synths and instruments didn't make much of an impression. These streams have totally changed my mind. Good job and thanks for opening my eyes.
why weren't the drum refills made more convenient like a device in the rack? If what you were going for with the other instruments was the idea of having very convenient production tools already sitting on the rack, it seems like you kind of missed the mark when it comes to the addition of these drum refills.
I 100% agree. PH calls it a professional DAW, yet I have to buy an RE compressor or use another Daw or Vst to get the job done. MClass can barely get half way to where I want it. REs should be for different styles and colors of compression. 10plus years later and the same 2 crappy comps. Wow, real Pro. And please don't try and argue that the new mixer comp is pro. It's just not.
can you please sort out the issues with the performance of your software which has happened since reason 9? I get crackling audio , or you computer is to slow to play such basic tracks that making music becomes impossible . I am running a i7 16gb ram 2016 MacBook Pro , have tried fixes suggested on forums but still the issues persist. It seems like you don’t even know what’s causing these issues
i'm not from africa or the carribeans so the odds of me using this is like one in a million. if anything i'd try to destroy the original sound. i've noticed that every new version of reason contains the exact same style of distortion and delay... i'm a big fan of noise and honesly i think reson would benefit alot more if they had a variety of distortions and delays... i have a simple korn monotron delay and it's fucking noisey. also... i tihnk adding amp envelops for each oscillator for the devices would be beneficial as well... because sometimes when i layer oscilators with europa i make the europa sound like it has two different melodies. and when i make a song i'd like to introduce the second oscillator sound later in the song. but i can't do that via modulation nor can i edit the automation.... another thing i think reason should have done is introduce a bettter sequencer cause the matrix is a real pain in the ass to use. but you know if you really think about it reason itself is a sequencer... but more hands on modulation would be nice... or maybe i should just get myself a better midi controller.... another thing hahaha i like to get into is analog gear... and honestly there aren't very many videos on how to use analog with reason, how to clock sync you analog equipment and stuff... modulation... man this is a long ass message. also, i'd like to figure out how to use Reason with out validating it with the internet... but unfortunaly i've tried and can't seem to do it...i downloaded that app run time user or something... i forget what it's called but when i install it nothing happens it sits there and does nothing for a while too... that's very disapointing because if i wanna use reason as a live tool i can't... because i need to interent to log into the program and the demo won't allow me to open files so yeah...
Oh but I beg to differ! Season 1's theme song is here... check out around 45 seconds to the end: ua-cam.com/video/5QEHZnwkaYc/v-deo.html They changed it in subsequent seasons. :) /ryan
Clang.. No offense but I am a little surprised that it took the Props this long before they came up with more specific percussion (other than Kong, which is totally awesome). But I would have preferred less talk and more demoing. Getting bored after 9 min :/
Reason 9 upgrades bought on and after September 1st qualify for a free upgrade to Reason 10. We announced Reason 10 on the September 21st, so a week or two before would put you safely in the free upgrade zone. /ryan
Lots of zooming in and out on the microscopic rack instrument gui's...it's all very well having nice sounding instruments but you are sure as hell screwed over when it comes to actual usability. I would have expected the rack size issue to have been fixed at least 5 years ago. We are not living in 2001/2002 any more.
reason needs a way to nest devices inside modulators andc save midi with devices ie clips in bitwig. this stuff seems cool but there are millions just like it for kontakt.
There is way too much talking. More sounds and less chit chat. I would hate to watch this live as you would have to listen to ten minutes of talking before you even heard one sound!
Thanx for the stream. While I came back from Blade Runner, this was more entertaining
Was the movie bad?
15 people liked the comment, i don't think that it has to be said!
LOL!
that move was awesome!
dunno if anyone gives a shit but if you guys are stoned like me during the covid times you can watch all of the latest movies and series on InstaFlixxer. I've been watching with my girlfriend for the last few weeks =)
Discovering Reason 13 in 2024... these demos by Mattias are so motivating to start creating. Thanks Reason team!
Need more of these streams guys... lots of instruments you can cover in depth.
Thanks so much for this and the other streams. i just upgraded from 4.0 and have watched countless hours of contenton this channel over the past few weeks. Thank you for making such an inspiring and fun creative tool!

Great stream. Lots of laughs and two very pleasant and talented presenters. Excellent. Thank you

A mattias × Ryan show would be the best
Matias... you are so instant man with the ideas..... loved to see to making Music...... The tube was so much flowing.... Thanks for the stream....
I tried out Pangea's Lakeside Pipe Organ and added some big chords (like, REALLY big)...there's only one word I can use to describe how it sounds: *IMMENSE.*
great series of presentations, the final track really tied it all together, good stuff
Love these videos and can't wait to get my hands on Reason 10! These are great! I learned many things
Thanks for the stream guys! The 2 of you are a great duo, :D I am so pumped for reason 10! cant wait to make music with it

Hello from Durban I love these live streams keep em coming 👍
I think these two instruments are seriously slept on
I'm impressed with how good this sounds
Awesome additions to Reason. So looking forward to getting my hands on the new release.
Thanks for this great update!

that's a crisp looking livestream
Great stream again.... you sound almost like some of the great DJs from Radio Luxemburg..... love it
Thank fo all th info on these plugins and what you do with them.
THESE SOUNDS ARE BOMBASS! HE'LL YEAH
Omniphere 2 has the best sound out of any vst.. You guys should get in contact with spectrasonics their sampling of acoustic instruments is the best I've heard
was thinking the same thing! lol
I have to say the new SoundIron instruments are gems.

the sustain should have like a CV-input .....
"... and the rest" was because the title song was recorded before the final characters had been decided.
I'm feeling this update.
The later Gilligan's Island shows did name - "The Professor AND...Maryann...Here on Gilligan's Isle." :-)
Kept hoping for a surprise, like 'Oh, and we updated the Sequencer and Mixer and other core elements in this, out 10th version of Reason.' Or something. Nope.
Will PH redeem themselves with V10.5 ? We need features.....NOT SUBSCRIPTIONS !!!
all these new devices should be in the shop. if your not hurting for sounds then there's nothing really being offered in 10 but the exact same program you are using now. Props sure does know how to push the glitter though 😁
I really like his happy tune!
very very very helpful video. thank you so much.
Thanks guys!
There needs to be a group in the reason team that just work on the sampling functions
Does Propellerhead have a podcast? For Sure You should.
Now to get rid of anxiety so I could actually use these tools.
You and Me both.
My body is ready.
Is this the Bobby who went out for Coffee?? Get back to work and implement some of the features your customers have been asking for. Thanks 🎼
Good job guys - all 3 streams! Awesome new devices. Would still love to see updated separate rack extensions based on the original Rebirth devices. Will upgrade though.

Lit stream, bruh. Feels like Christmas already!
Why aren't these just sample patches for NNXT?
dahDougieBoy because they needed to pad out this weak release.
They're easier to use than NN-XT patches, and there's a much greater degree of customizability
What customizability? Couldn't all this be done on an NN19? In a combi with a delay & a reverb.
I'm so ready for this!
A french translated version of this wonderfull video will be very welcome for us :) Thank you so much if it's possible (?)
Pourtant tu sembles bien maîtriser l'anglais...?
Now, to get rid of anxiety and depression in order to use these tools.
Surprised there's a Struck Grand... didn't notice before.
Does anyone know about the integration with multitimbral controllers like roli seaboard or midi breath controlers like TEControl and reason 9.5 or reason 10?

I have a production company I have purchase multiple reason software for my producers across the country can we register our product on one acct?
can you guys please add MP3 audio exporting so i dont have to use 3rd party software
don't install software. you can do it online with ease > online-audio-converter.com/
LOL... Yeah why do it locally when you can upload a 100M file over the internet and wait.
Best solution for people who don't want to mess up thier studio systems. Btw: 100MB upload, if this is your problem make a call @ your ISP..., welcome to the year 2017 ;)
Not everyone can do that. Razorlame is better anyway, and it won't mess up your system any more than Notepad will - which is not at all.
There are many, many offline tools, but that was not the initial question...: Quote: " i dont have to use 3rd party software" and in this case an online converter is the only solution that makes sense, since Reason can't export mp3 for itself.
Trap Loops!! 🔥😍 Say No More!! time to Upgrade!!
If I upgrade my essentials to the full version of 9.5 now will I get 10 for free as well? or should I just wait
Yall are awesome
Welcome to pluck-town! "Wilkommen in Zupf-Stadt!"
What's up with those who bought Radical Piano as RE? 35:00
@Argo Beats
And what's up with those who bought syncronous and the sound iron REs that have the klang Pangea n kazoo?
Figuratively speaking, we get slapped in the face.
RmX Contest with MattiasHG Live Stream Song? First Price Reason 10 Licence?
cant wait to try the new content, but still i hope PH does something about the "vst problems" that reason has. New content is all good and nice, but i hope the team is focused on getting vst´s working on a Propellerhead level. So far i would call it more than unworthy.#Reason10
Humana needs the (Mark Mothersbaugh)Bob choir, heard in Rugrats opening and in the Subgenius video "Arise!" which can be seen on youtube.
what we need is quality not quantity.
What an awesome grade
I was not planning on getting the Reason 10 upgrade. I have Synchronous, wasn't interested in Radical Piano and the new synths and instruments didn't make much of an impression. These streams have totally changed my mind. Good job and thanks for opening my eyes.
Exactly!
Respect
Great software

If what you were going for with the other instruments was the idea of having very convenient production tools already sitting on the rack, it seems like you kind of missed the mark when it comes to the addition of these drum refills.
Instead of the Klang and Pangea Reason should better get some good brass and strings!
Stringwerk RE mate, best Strings for Reason, now on sale in the prop-shop !
We shouldn't have to buy something as simple as strings. They should be included in the DAW library from the start.
Same goes for Brass section and woodwinds.
Yes, should be a standard tool in professional DAWs like Reason.
You had me at first KLANG patch.
love some old style music like seventies prog produced instead of boring edm styles.
One question... in the version 10 you keep the classic (thor, maeltrom, subtractor) synths or will be replaced for the new one.....Europa...?...
The old synths won't be replaced by the new one.
Please tell me this is not all they're going to upgrade with reason 10 really
Hopefully they will listen to US Reason Users for Version 10.5 and I won't have to wait for Version 11.
Such an underwhelming rack extension update pretending to be a DAW update
this is not all they're going to upgrade with reason 10 really
Man I can make all the sounds that were showcased with my current plugins..reason 9 is by far the best upgrade..personally..i wont upgrade.
can you please sort out the issues with the performance of your software which has happened since reason 9? I get crackling audio , or you computer is to slow to play such basic tracks that making music becomes impossible . I am running a i7 16gb ram 2016 MacBook Pro , have tried fixes suggested on forums but still the issues persist. It seems like you don’t even know what’s causing these issues
i get it too...hope they fix it D;
awesome!
What ever happened to James Bernard? Haven't seen anything from that dude in a long time..
This man said Casio clean lol 😆
i'm not from africa or the carribeans so the odds of me using this is like one in a million. if anything i'd try to destroy the original sound. i've noticed that every new version of reason contains the exact same style of distortion and delay... i'm a big fan of noise and honesly i think reson would benefit alot more if they had a variety of distortions and delays... i have a simple korn monotron delay and it's fucking noisey. also... i tihnk adding amp envelops for each oscillator for the devices would be beneficial as well... because sometimes when i layer oscilators with europa i make the europa sound like it has two different melodies. and when i make a song i'd like to introduce the second oscillator sound later in the song. but i can't do that via modulation nor can i edit the automation.... another thing i think reason should have done is introduce a bettter sequencer cause the matrix is a real pain in the ass to use. but you know if you really think about it reason itself is a sequencer... but more hands on modulation would be nice... or maybe i should just get myself a better midi controller....
another thing hahaha i like to get into is analog gear... and honestly there aren't very many videos on how to use analog with reason, how to clock sync you analog equipment and stuff... modulation...
man this is a long ass message. also, i'd like to figure out how to use Reason with out validating it with the internet... but unfortunaly i've tried and can't seem to do it...i downloaded that app run time user or something... i forget what it's called but when i install it nothing happens it sits there and does nothing for a while too... that's very disapointing because if i wanna use reason as a live tool i can't... because i need to interent to log into the program and the demo won't allow me to open files so yeah...
19:28 Nice one there.
CAN WE PLEASE GET A TRAP DEPARTMENT
One way ticket to plucktown.
If reason have an advanced dedicated hardware controller, that would be really great
the nektar controllers pretty much do everything though right?
How do i play the sound samples.
I click the patches but no sound
They do not say "and the rest" I'm that Gilligan's island theme song....it was "and his wife"
Oh but I beg to differ! Season 1's theme song is here... check out around 45 seconds to the end: ua-cam.com/video/5QEHZnwkaYc/v-deo.html
They changed it in subsequent seasons. :) /ryan
Touche'
1:08:49 diz tune would get Enya moist
Clang.. No offense but I am a little surprised that it took the Props this long before they came up with more specific percussion (other than Kong, which is totally awesome). But I would have preferred less talk and more demoing. Getting bored after 9 min :/
I bought Reason 9.5 about a week or two before they released the first 10 teaser and free offer upgrade...lol sigh.
Reason 9 upgrades bought on and after September 1st qualify for a free upgrade to Reason 10. We announced Reason 10 on the September 21st, so a week or two before would put you safely in the free upgrade zone. /ryan
SWEET!!! I got mine on Sep 8
1:49 let's get head
Hmmmm what was I starting to say there?!? /ryan
Oh!! I was aiming for "let's go ahead and get started here."
Lots of zooming in and out on the microscopic rack instrument gui's...it's all very well having nice sounding instruments but you are sure as hell screwed over when it comes to actual usability. Reason is number 1 daw
one of :)
Live Mix RU true pro tools is a must I couldn't live without it
Form me number one is Studio One ;)
hey nebstaism/ they still have a loooooong way to go to claim the coveted #1 DAW spot
I will def purchase though, regardless of the new instruments reason rocks the house and is the best workflow
#500 :-)
reason needs a way to nest devices inside modulators andc save midi with devices ie clips in bitwig. this stuff seems cool but there are millions just like it for kontakt.
Kalimba thumb 😂😂😂
There is way too much talking. More sounds and less chit chat. I would hate to watch this live as you would have to listen to ten minutes of talking before you even heard one sound!
