  • I will pick back up on the ball joints in part 2 and show the subframe and suspension set up plus an update on the mini rebuild.

    hi dave, i would have liked you to fit a new ball joint into a cleaned housing as this is a hard job for novices to understand reading the manual eg the measuring part of the job also some people use a fishing scales after doing the job to check the tightness of the movement of the joint. thanks dolores

      hi dave i would like to see you do the job from a to z ,i could only find one vid on subject, it was where an older man reused the worn ball joints and after it had tight spots in its full movement range when put back together. the mini has quite a few hard to under stand jobs when reading the manual ,some of the others are shims, thrusts on engines roller and solid bearings on rear shaft and others.also most owners have had no engineering type jobs and so terms etc are new to them unlike their fathers. thanks dolores
