Dipthongs are straight up not a thing in French. I'm from North Carolina, and taught French for a bit and absolutely the hardest thing to get southern folks to wrap their mouth around is that vowels don't slide around in French like they do in English, especially southern American English. It totally tracks a native French speaker would be light on the dipthongs when speaking or singing.

Listen I come from the age group that was in love with Kelly Rowland and Michelle's VOCALS MORE the age group is only a two-year stretch but we exist we also love letoya luckett's vocal range too but we were always considered the haters but it's not necessarily we hate Beyonce's voice we just like their voice way way more
