I love Patti! She is much older but still has maintained the integrity of her voice and showmanship. I heard her years ago and the fact that she can still do this reminds me of a lady in our church who still sings at 97years old.
Backstory it was originally a duet with Fantasia and Patti LaBelle. But the producer came and said change of plans we want all your to sing the at the last minute 😭😭 they said they had like 10 minutes to figure it out backstage

When I watched this on tv, I kept clapping when Patti's high notes kept coming in and out. It's so rewarding hearing her still having that beautiful, beautiful voice! She's such a beautiful woman - her entire career and now into her very seasoned years still!

So, fun little tidbit of information, Patti LaBelle and Joss Stone singing a song called stirred up for the Disney film Chicken Little, and it slaps HARD!
Patti and that headvoice is so incredibly powerful and well preserved!
Love the respect and reverence that was shown to Mamma Patti! They are all vocal powerhouses but understood they were in the presence of musical royalty, so they gladly enhanced and uplifted.
That intro from Fantasia was so tasty - it is making me want to discover more of her. Her voice is so unique. Patti amazing as usual.

You have brought me through a lot of depression by watching your videos. You gave me hope towards my love for music. And have been obsessed with getting to take a lesson from you and to start my consistent steps to sing again past my diagnosis of MS. It saddens me but delights me because it will be for his glory when I sing.

Jaron is UBER TALENTED. Jaron has his own way of singing just like any other artist or singer. That being said we all love how not only does he teach but he's capable enough to sing at the "same" pitch and intensity as the artists he analyzed. These women are crazy AWESOME. GREAT PERFORMANCE !

That was GREAT! I LOVE your show I can't say this enough but I notice you do more women than men. I wish you would do more men. There are some jazz vocalist I would love to hear your analysis. Some of these may not have videos for but here they are. Johnny Hartman, Sammy Davis, Little Jimmy Scott, Mel Torme', little Willie John. If you can find videos on any of these singers I would love to here your take on their voices. Some of these you probably never heard of like Jimmie Scott who by the way, was Nancy Wilsons influence. little Willie John is another. Your parents would know who they are I'm sure. I would recommend that you listen to all of them because of your talent I think you would love what you hear even if you don't do an analysis you would appreciate their skills.

What I kept seeing throughout the whole performance is Patty Labelle wanting Jennifer Hudson to be a little bit more extra. And it's funny because Jennifer Hudson is the definition of extra. But she really toned it down when she was singing with these group of ladies because she understands that not every single person needs to be extra. Somebody have to hold the fort and do that harmonizing auto.
