    That is the one I was waiting for, everyone needs a portly version of an already bad quad. To me the sad part of the story is years ago Rotor Riot was helpful in growing the hobby. Now promoting consistently awful products that are 3 years past their expiry date has the opposite effect.

      Don't forget overpriced, for what they are anyways. I still love their channel, and some of the stuff they have come up with. Letsflyrc makes some pretty cool shit. But I'll never buy it. The "bone drone" is a really old design, remember micromotorwarehouse? They had a brushed plastic frame that used a blade nanoqx flight controller and 7mm brushed motors. They're product page for that frame had a Lego starwars figure as a pilot.

    You didn't get a lemon. I have some serious issues with the Bubito. And that is before the constant resetting of itself that it seems to do. Now the motors keep reassigning themselves different directions at each start. The times I did get to fly it: the image has way too much vibration, the craft wants fly when arming - it just keeps bouncing and jumping, the tune they put on this was for some weird controller that they mention was DJI - not sure why I'd use that for this non-HD drone?, but okay.
    This is my second purchase from Rotor Riot, and definitely my last. They can sit around with NewBeeDrone in the corner of people that shouldn't be in business.

    I agree with See Well! Same with their LeDrib Cinewhoop, with those big tall ducts circa 2018 ! That quad is way, way past it's expiration date! lol Everything is now using simple guards and weighs a lot less. Like the GepRC, iFlight, BetaFPV, HGLRC, and the new SpeedyBee Cinewhoops.
    Plus, Rot0r Ri0t wants a small fortune for their quads! Even on their best sale they are way overpriced! IMO, if you can't make quads that are up to date with new technology, and competitively priced, stop making them. I just shake my head when I see those $599 price tags and wonder... What are they thinking?! Just because you "professionally tuned " it, and it has your name on it, doesn't make it worth $200 more than other name brand quads that are also professionally tuned. 🤷🙄

    Yeah got the built version of the Bubito.
    Couldn't get a battery in the holder. They said to use a heat gun on it. Ok that worked
    The camera is held in place by the top plate pushing down on it and adjustment is difficult to say the least.
    Basically they said they were printing a new type of camera mount and if I wanted on I'd have to purchase it.
    Just like yours the props hit the (I'll call it a camera holder) and had to shave some material off to make them clear.

      It sounds like you are looking for RTF (Ready-To-Fly) Kits. I have not yet reviewed any of these kits and I know little about them. I would recommend checking out Nick Burns (if you haven't already) on UA-cam. If you go to his videos and search "RTF" you should find quite a few. He always does great reviews 👍.
      One bit of advice I can give is that FPV is frustrating sometimes. These rtf kits might still have some quirks, so be prepared to do some repairs as you learn. I can say, FPV is well worth your time!

    CLI dump is not working?

  • @OverTheTopLive
    @OverTheTopLive 2 роки тому +5

    Rotor Riot biggest mistake with this realese is by proximity it is marketed that this drone is fully finished tested product instead of I let our Pilot FPV Bubby a teenager design his dream micro freestyle drone and him and his friends tested it and loved it so here it is. Quick youtube search of Bubito you get all the information including build video on how to remove the motor vibration from the video feed. I have a list of things that Rotor Riot pisses me off about but its super obvious from the start of this video that you hated it from the start. Obviously, this kinda quad isnt for old dudes like us but for younger crowd. I think they should of waited and released a more better overall product but I see the potential the kids trying to do and Im thinking by next year he is going to have a legit micro ripper because even right now in this form the kid rips the shit out of it watch the vids. Peace

      You might find one online. But I had to contact Rotor Riot directly to get the cli dump I had.

    I'm curious, did you review the 63mm or the 73mm version of the Baby Nazgul? I love my 73mm version, though definitely not for indoor. It's fantastic in the front/back/side yard! Doing some outdoor rippin' from the porch is where's it at!

    • @InfinityLoops
      @InfinityLoops  2 роки тому +1

      Yes! I mentioned it briefly in this video that I do own the 63 baby Nazgul. I was not a fan of the short flights and overall beefiness of the quad. I did hear that the larger version you have was much better. But I never tried it 😞

      @@InfinityLoops Definitely worth giving it a try. With 48khz PWM, I get over 3 min of flight time on a 450mah.

    Wow, what a piece of garbage. Maybe they should have sent you this thing BEFORE they put it on the market! Also, I giggled a little watching you repeatedly smacking it into the drywall. Idk why.

    I just purchased the Fractal 75 kit, running 18K NBD gold motors. Wow! It's like a 75mm Mobula 6 only better. Why would anyone buy these open prop things when the Fractal 75 is soooo good? If you really need a backyard stomp-er get a Jack's 3D print and run 1s. I run 2s and its better than my Tinyhawk 2 race (also a great backyard ripper). It's cool to see hobbiest taking an existing product better and doing it out of their garage. But rotor riot and iflight, what a letdown. "Make better," not just "make also."

    What did you use to tune ur bubito? Do u have videos on the tuning and building process?

    • @InfinityLoops
      @InfinityLoops  Рік тому +1

      I don't have any videos on that. The diy kit doesn't go together well, and your kit is likely different than the one I got back then. As for the tune, RR supplied me with the tune. Link for that is in the description under "cli dump".

    With all the flaws, it looks more like a product from a cheap manufacturer, who uses their customers as beta-testers, instead of a well designed top tier quad.

    The hobby moves fast but surely not so fast that a company that claims to be dedicated to the hobby can't do the research for a single quad to make it fly right. I'm pretty sure what it comes down to with this one is, it needs to hit a certain profit margin and the company that build them couldn't dish out the surplus stock they have of them due to the poor reviews, so. Like the 3,5" that flies like shit but hey, at least it's sub 250g . . this one also exists. Just slap a big brand name on the side and hope it's enough to make it move. You know, like the fatshark HD. Apparently not ready yet but hey, if they can sell it . . the sheep can buy it and pat each others backs like the now abandoned hdzero crew did. Anyone else tired of the next coming of jesus in the form of rushed products yet?
