Word of encouragement: I'm a 10th year teacher and there are still days when I don't have a clue what I'm doing because teaching is dynamic, classes are always changing, students have different needs, etc... You go this!

Please enter me in your giveaway! I found you and started watching because I have a daughter named Bailey. We are both teachers. I remember how much she complained about having to get up early, stay late, and helping me with classroom tasks when she was in elementary school. She always said that she would never be a teacher...famous last words! I am glad that I found you. It has been over a year that I have been watching your videos and I like whatever you post! By the way, I have been teaching for 25 years. About 23 years have been at the same school and things still change a lot from year to year for me. We are close to Fort Bragg and have a lot of military wives as teachers. They are with us for a couple years and then gone when their husbands get moved around.
I was actually born at Fort Bragg! How crazy!
I agree. Starting overall can be rough. I had to move schools too. It was my very first school after graduating from college. I originally had a hard time at my new school, because it was one of the largest elementary schools in my district. I really missed my old colleagues 😢. Now, I have adjusted and have made new friends/colleagues. It will take time to feel like you're apart of the school. Trust me it will happen and you'll look back and feel like you're home at your new school. 😊
Hey Bailey, just wanted to encourage you that my husband and I moved to California after almost 4 years in PHX and we just couldn't wait to move but since moving, I have also experienced a lot of grief and discomfort with a new job and new location and no friends or church out here and it is so hard. You're so right though, discomfort can bring growth! You're not alone!
