- Hello, I had an issue starting my car and fixed it by changing a small fuse known as "starter fuse/Relay" placed in the hood of Dodge charger 2008 3.5L. I got the fuse/Relay part from Dodge dealership in around 15$, which really helped me save time and money. See video for more details.

It's called a relay, fuses are the small colored ones. Good tip though, bravo!!!

Thanks man!! The hesitation in my 09 Dodge Charger was getting to the point that I was always worrying that it wouldn't start. In 2 seconds I switched the starter relay with the one is #17 spot and boom...fired right up. $17 bucks for a new relay at the local auto parts store and now I know I can start the car to get there!

My timing belt is out as well , did your car have connection issues? Mines was sitting and now it Disney have any juice

I have a 2009 Dodge Journey with the same problem I change the starter 220$ 10 min later it turn off. Luckily it turns on right away. 5 min later I got stock on the gastation for 20 min a Good Samaritan came to my rescued said with was the battery but I had just bought one Saturday.. @@BayAreaMMA. yes, turned out to be battery... yes battery. Had near 13 volts, no amps.

I have a 2010 charger what a pain in the ass these cars are. I swear to God I'm never buying another vehicle later than like the 90's when you could actually work on them yourself. Have you ever changed in alternator in this vehicle its insane took 2 days they don't make the bolts anymore or the brackets. I believe the right way to change alternator is too actually raise the engine up that's just crazy to me to put bolts that it's impossible to get to.

idk if this'll help but i have a 2009 Dodge Charger RT was having issues w/ it cranking but not starting up. my mechanic says i need a new fuel pump (bullsh*t), long story short & a bunch of google'n, it turns out it was the fuel relay fuse. located in the rear fuse box #46 & swap it w/ a newbie & just like that i'm back on the road. 🤘🏾

Mine will start most the time but the problem is the anti-theft system comes on so it stalls out and it keeps doing this and I can't find anything anywhere on how to disable the system or fix the problem! 😞
My 2006 Dodge Charger SE won’t start. I have a solid red light on the dash. I have changed the starter, ETC, PCM, alternator, battery and starter relay. I’ve even taken it to the dealership and they can’t tell me what’s wrong smh! The did get it to start claiming that it was the starter relay but it shut down on me a few weeks after I got it back from them. I need help! I am frustrated and my car has been sitting for about a year and a half. I would appreciate any help I can get. I’ve spent a lot of money on this car so far replacing the catalytic converters, major tune ups and other stuff.
Tune ups? Not sure about this one - But I had a Ford 2004 before and it was related to this same issue used to stop and never started then would crank at the mechanic. It had electrical issues the whole wiring needed to be replaced. I junk'ed the car and bought toyota corolla and later on bought my Dodge. I hope you would make a way out or will have your car fixed.
If the starter relay gets burnt everytime then it could be the volt/amps verify the voltages it takes for ignition.

Looks like starter relay is fine, It must be something else though.
Did u figure out the issue because mines just does one click and thats it. Sometimes it takes 10min or 15min of turning off and on to crank now mines dont even turn on no more

I did the same thing switched what you switched, same issues as this video. Nothing. Changed the starter, battery is good. Alternator is good. Engine is tight. What could it be. Lights, air and clicks when turned over. What is it what can I do. The starter relay clicks as well when the fob is turned.PLEASE
Check the ignition switch actuator pin boss I had a problem in mine and checked it and it was broken, hope that helps if you haven’t figured out the problem or haven’t sold the car

thats a No Crank, No Start issue, No start is a different issue
This is just to help. I had a recent issue in which my cars computer was faulty. It was the same no crank no start. But maybe for someone if the relay is not working it would help

I have also dodge charger 2007, and the RPM is not move up 4000, what is the issue
Rev-ing up is locked to 4 rpm. By default all are like this, you can unlock by tweaks on the computer.

@@alimubshar no it a red light come on next to the gas gauge this the thing I try to start my car it didn't work so I'm like wtf so I kept trying like 3x it started up the next time I try to start it up and now it dead my brother gave me a jump it was not the battery so it might be the starter or the starter fuss what do you think thank you
Starter fuse never starts the car in tries so it might be the starter motor. Better try to check up at the dealer. Thank you.
