@@Fluxxyys didn’t seem far off, I didn’t say they were neck and neck I said it was close to it as in probably around 300hp compared to the stock 280 of a facelift R plus u have to keep in mind it’s manual vs dsg, there wasn’t a massive difference in times either
@@Em_Ligman seemed like it might already be faster than a stock R, you’ll obviously have more of an idea at that tho😂 the stage 1 was definitely faster but I think it would’ve been interesting against a stock R

This things needs an intercooler. I’ve got just about the same build with about 28psi peak and without the intercooler it was heavily bogged due to extreme heat soak. Cut some weight and replace it with a decent intercooler

@@AI-Records24 depends on the goal. If you’re willing to go far and do things smart, you wont necessarily spend that much. In addition, the 1.4 is light. A 700hp b58 can possibly get paced or beat by one given the correct Circumstances, style of race and driver. 500hp in a sub 3000lb car will keep up with a 700hp 4000+ car
@@Night_keen oooooof we are talking very very specific circumstances here now mate😂generally speaking the b58 is going to take precedence most times especially in something like a 140 given the similar weight but also what’s never really mentioned is the reliability factor. A 700bhp b58 is a lot more reliable than a 500bhp 1.4, it’ll go stronger and harder for longer. But I do agree, weight is everything and we don’t really know what the goal is with this car or I don’t anyway I haven’t seen him mention it. Stripping it would make a nice little track car, it’s never going to break drag records really but it’ll certainly give some more powerful cars a good run for their money on track!
