Knowing what kind of dwarf Balin was makes his death in the Lord of the Rings even sadder with 100%. So wise, calm, caring, loyal, polite, reasonable. He is absolutely the dwarf even the Elvenking Thranduil would find easy one to negotiate with.
"I will not risk this quest for the life of one... burglar." *"Bilbo. His name... is Bilbo"* "I think I'll slip quietly away, will you tell the others I said goodbye?" *"You can tell them yourself."*
Balin was the heart and soul of the dwarves. He was a superb peacemaker and understood the power of dragons over humans more than anyone else. How ironic of him to make a tongue and cheek joke about if dragons were real or not to Bilbo.
They are all from the Durin line and pretty much every noteworthy dwarf in the history of middle earth is from the Durin line. They descend from Durin who was the first living dwarf. Durin woke up in the misty mountains and created Moria. He also has multiple lives and gets reborn 6 times in the history of middle earth. The last reincarnation of Durin who took back Moria for the dwarfs is distantly related to Gimli and Balin.
My favorite Dwarf is Dain Ironfoot, then its Balin, then its Gimli, HOESTLY I want something made about Balin or Dain, Dain dying at the foot of Erebor and STILL winning Balin retaking Khazad-Dum. MAN Dwarves are best part of Middle Earth...
I am a little confused by the Dragon Sickness because Thror acted the same way about the gold before Smaug came..... ??? I am sure there is an explanation . I just dont know what it is....
It was so out of character in the movie for Balin to have said " You dont have to do this laddie, we have peace and prosperity in the Blue Mountains " .
I disagree, those films are prefection. If you want to see a true disaster look that the rings of power show or any disney media that is trying to be star wars but it fails, disney canon=ruin, This is basic math.
Balin was definitely the heart of the company, and his casting was perfect. Ken Stott was absolutely brilliant.
Ken Stott is an excellent actor.

And fortunate that he did not find Durin III's Ring in Moria. (Personally, I think it was in possession of the Mouth of Sauron)
And Óin (Gimli's uncle, eaten by the Watcher trying to escape Khazâd dum). And Ori (the skeleton holding the Book of Marzalbul

The 4 dislikes are the wargs he shot with the dwarven auto-ballista
Definitely😂
Or the orc archer?
Wish there was a movie about his expedition to moria
And we agree with you laddie.
I love Balin,he was brave and stood his ground may he rest in peace. Long live the king of Moria
He was sniped unawares, according to Ori. It was Ori and the few others who remained that stood their ground until their last breaths.
The wonderful Ken Stott gave Balin life a brilliant actor.
I’m glad there is no dislikes on this. There physically can’t be. Balin is to real.
For the love of all of the Valar--ALL of the Valar--please delete that before you jinx it!
EDIT: You jinxed it, you bastard!
damn
@@dwiz I hate it when people point out that a video has 0 dislikes. They're just inviting someone to dislike the video.
@@Bauglir100 man I am just happy that people watch my videos. But it is annoying
@@dwiz Well it's a good video, regardless of how many people dislike it. This is a wonderful tribute to a wonderful character.
The bromance between Balin and Thorin is legendary.
This is such a beautiful tribute video for a wonderful character. Thank you for putting it together.

Balin is definitely my favorite dwarf. I wish he was my grandpa lol
I hope, somewhere, this Fundin dwarf knows he raised two fine sons.
I'm sure he knows.
Balin best dwarf ever (speaking about The Hobbit Trilogy, Gimli stays at top)

Love Balin. He is the best.
I also wanna see how Dwalin would react upon Balin's death. All that we know for sure that Durin is with Balin now.
R.I.P😔🕊
Balin saved not just bilbos life. But our lives as well.
I am too old for this!!!!!
(Balin, born in T.A. 2763, is now 178 years old and the eldest of the Dwarves)

hear hear!!
Durin be with you brother
The making of the Dwarves by Aulë , the Vala of Earth is one of the most breathtaking narrative scenes ever written.
The Best Dwarf who Ever lived…!!!❤️
He’s my favorite dwarf…A warrior and a heart of gold
Balin be balling tho
Love this
Though I do wish someone on this platform would post Balin saying "That, was a dragon" after Smaug breaks a pillar while talking with Bilbo.
Balin in the books died to a ork while defending moria, ironically he was one of the only dwarves peter decided to kinda give light for a moment
The acting in this surpasses the first trilogy and it isn't even close.
thank you so much for making this
Moria king 😍🔥❤i love this 😍❤
Seeing Balin’s tomb before watching the Hobbit: Um… ok. I guess it’s sad
Seeing Balin’s tomb after the Hobbit: UTTER DEPRESSION
Love it🤩🤩👏👏
loved the part when he said, "it's balin' time". Tolkien had such a way with words 🏀
Awesome Balin.
my favorite character of tolkienverse!
Balin was a prince among dwarves.
All respect, though...?!?
The only true dwarf in the whole movie in my opinion
I am a little confused by the Dragon Sickness because Thror acted the same way about the gold before Smaug came..... ??? I am sure there is an explanation . I just dont know what it is....
I think that Dragon Sickness is called like that becouse you act like a dragon, obsessed over gold.
@@dwiz thx friend. That makes absolutely perfect sense ! 👍

For me best dwarf is Gotrek, but Balin is a true dwarf
Talks of new lotr movies in this universe, I think Balins exposition of moria is likely 🤞
Balin was like Hosea to Thorin who was like Dutch
But I was sad unlike Balin , Hosea wasn't able to save Dutch from his greed of money
I was with you the whole time until the end, and then it was just random stuff. Lost me.
Sorry to hear that, but that was one of my first edits and I was still learning. I think the later ones are much better.
Can you post the link of the music you used?
Yeah, I think it was this one ua-cam.com/video/xjoqx7wYbVw/v-deo.html
and this one at the end ua-cam.com/video/eD0XEH3qVCk/v-deo.html
