Medi-Cal discontinued because I just have Medicare Do I need to reapply for Qualify Individual program What do I do Thanks
I’m disabled but not working can I qualify for qdwi
@@cuongdinh3368 California has specific rules when it comes to the QDWI program. If your income too high for free Medi-Cal then you may be able to get it by paying a small monthly premium. I recomment that you call Medi-Cal and see if you are eligible.
What is considered countable income? Specifically, would a VA pension that does not have to be reported on tax return be counted as income?
great information very informative
Glad it was helpful!
Great information. Thank you🙏🏿💕👍🏽🙌🏾
Glad it was helpful!
What month do the income levels change (increase) Jan, Feb or March 2022 (california) speaking of the QMB (QI)
January is typically when the levels change. Check with your state medicaid office to find out the amounts. QMB and QI are two different levels.
@@USAMedicarePlan Thank you for reply-Sadly, Medicaid offices are always behind newly updated info. Yes, QI is one of the 4 programs for MSP. The only one I would qualify for at this time. Many thanks.
Does Social Security have to return the monies they are taking from individuals who qualify for the MSP?
The state will reimburse you for the Part B premium starting from the month you were approved for the MSP. It can 60 - 90 days and you'll see it reflected in your Social Security check.
Hi,
Are there applicants for the MSP who don't qualify for the program and don't receive a premium deduction due to having a low income - example those on SSI or public assistance or have no income at all. Is there a waiver for such individual? Thank you.
Every situation is different but if your income and assets are within the guidelines then you have a good chance of getting approved. You have to apply to find out.
I live in Georgia and I was told I didn’t have to Medicaid to apply for the QI Medicare savings program. Maybe someone could give me some information. I’d appreciate any help you can give me.
You'll have to apply for assistance through the state. You can go in person to the local Medicaid office or apply online on the state Medicaid website. The Medicare Savings Program is part of the state's assistance programs with Medicaid.
If I forget to report income in a month do I have to pay it back for that month?
The state HHS office will send you a notification if they have questions on your income.
Hello, great video. I am trying to gift my homeless parents a house and my parents get Texas Medicaid QMB and medicare. What should be the maximum house value in Texas so they do not lose their QMB benefits ? Also does Medicaid estate recovery program try to seize the house of deceased QMB recipients who never lived in any nursing home or any other long term living facility ? Thanks
You can contact the state Medicaid office and they shoild be able to help you. Every state has their own guidelines.
Good video I sign up for medicaid about ( 60 ) days ago have not heard anything yet how long does it take also medicare is taking money out of my check for PART ( B ) so far ( 2 ) months if I am approved will I get that money back Thankyou !!!!
Sometimes it ca take up to 90 days. You will get reimbursed back in your check, from the date they approve you.
@@USAMedicarePlan THANKYOU
I am 100% disabled
I am QMB
I am MSP
I receive bills from my doctors.
My Part B is NOT being paid.
My credit has been decimated because of doctors bills.
If you are at a QMB level then your part B should be paid by the state. I recommend that you contact Social Security to check on this, and also the state Medicaid office.
@@USAMedicarePlan Thank you for the reply. Am being told I make too much. I fall outside the maximum limit of program guidelines. That's kinda funny, not. I receive $873 in SSDI and no SSI. Don't know how they arrive at their figures. The state of Florida awarded me with a QMB rating. Understand that it has many features of which I can only wish.
@@USAMedicarePlan Should have also mentioned that my disabilities are terminal. I am in the TERI program. As such I should receive part A, part B, part D and some flavor of part C, FREE. My meds are more than $5K a month. Had a nice nestegg once upon a time. No more.
What about the disabled
Anthony , thanks for your question! There are Community Medicaid programs available for for people 65+ or Disabled. Contact your state Medicaid office directly to see if you qualify.
@@USAMedicarePlan do you have to work to qualify for QDWI Medicare savings program
@@anthonyhines656 Yes, that program is specifically for those who have a disabling impairment and continue to work. It helps pay for the Medicare Part A premium.
@@USAMedicarePlan if you receive SSDI fully insured and worked 5 of the last 10 years do you get part a Medicare free
@@USAMedicarePlan I’m just worried I will have to pay a Medicare part A premium I’ve been I won’t have pay a premium and been told yeah I will because I worked a maximum of 7 years, I read that most people don’t have to pay a premium
