It's genuinely nice when they actually try to cater to everyone that's playing the game, I just wish EA wasn't so greedy and selfish. I have hope's for next season atleast .

These games are created as F2P, spending is optional and since they know people have disposable cash, they still do it. If everyone stopped buying stuff, they would change the price.

Bro they’re already locking skins with select animations behind mini collection events the caustic skin has a selection animation and his gonna be a mini collection event like the katar event you’re gonna have to gamble and you have a 3% chance to get the caustic skin
The more upgrades the battle pass gets the less effort they put in the lvl100 reactive skin😂
I've heard they're going to lock recolors behind 50 Exotic Shards, which is insane. At least you can get Radianite points fairly easily and for free, it seems as though you only get 10 Exotic Shards in the battlepass and it's only for Premium holders

imagine what a huge W it would be if they decided not to sell the katar but introduced it with the new season as some kind of free reward like the flatline, players would be grinding for it cause it's actually something worth grinding for, you can customise it later with earned shards and everyone wouldn't be talking about how greedy they are every single event
Like they also could’ve made the katar the same price as the other heirlooms and it would be better than what the event we got that

Yeah if they just finished off the heirlooms for the current legends then I wouldn't mind as much about this Katar, but to be fair, if they do that then those who main the new legends that come out will then complain that they never got an individual one just like people are now
its 150 heirloom shards for the base, and 10 per stage so 10*5(for each fully upgraded katar)*6(for every katar)=300 then for that its gonna be $270 to upgrade them all and you get an extra 30 exotic shards. ($90 for 110 exotic shards) its all insanely priced
Yeah I guess but that’s for all 6 “individual” heirlooms, most people aren’t gonna buy all 6, plus you might not need to buy all 5 stages to be allowed to customize. If you got shards from packs then $60 for a universal heirloom is really good (compared to $160 for an individual legend heirloom)

@@TheAfonsosa I realize that but there is 6 sets of 5 which is what he was founding for in the original comment, he was saying that all 30 styles isn’t worth $200 which I think it is compared to other heirlooms
Considering that the original one was over $250, getting the other six sets for the same price feels a bit more worth it, but $250 is also enough to buy a new console on a good sale, groceries for a month for me and my partner, a good vacation/trip that lasts a couple days, or a new hobby of some kind.

also to mention for her ult, once you activate it, you leave behind a portal ( like ashe ) that anyone can follow right after, so alter ult isnt really get out of jail free card, unless you take it back in an area that an enemy cant follow back through, ( hence why fuse was in there )
So its like Sombra's transñocator (before the rework) but you're not an A-hole
Also additional info: 1 guy can activate it, all teammates can follow into the portal, and others will still be able to create their own portal to the nexus.
They will have to wait a while to be able to follow

The new exotic shards will be something like radianite points from Valorant I guess. They are actually in their Battlepasses also and you can buy them also to upgrade skins.
They literally stole the concept from Valorant and stole the name from Destiny. smh

But in val u can get much more radianite from battlepass
@@catsouls5345 Yes but it takes an entire season to grind through it all daily, and even then it's only enough radianite to barely upgrade a single bundle, if you own more than one bundle you're fucked unless you want to pay an absurd price just for 2 upgrade stages that cost the same as what you paid for the skin in the first place

Of course, since they already have existing code on the rev totem and wraith portals, my guess is they are exploring other ways to use existing code to create new legends and abilities to save money in programming costs
It’s more “using previously existing concepts” because the coding between these abilities would require so much tinkering it wouldn’t be worth it unless the way they coded it originally allowed for better tinkering which would be a metric shit ton of foresight and the person who did that is brilliant.

5:03 I’m just wondering if, you have to spend heirloom shards for EVERY base of the Katar, if you just need to spend shards once, and then are able to buy all other variations through that other currency, might not be that bad of a system

judging by your examples it seems you're talking about drones flying through, drill going through and sheila bullets going through? In which case the game just isn't coded for that to even be a possibility, otherwise we would've had that problem with Wraith portals by now (and to my knowledge I've never died to a maggie drill going through a portal)
The Customizations of the katar looks nice... I just pray that us who already owns it won't have the katar downgraded back to the "base version".

The most reasonable utility of the new currency should be that you could buy a recolour of the legends hairloom if you already have the first one (they will never do that, they are too greedy)

you have to buy the base katar like an heirloom once, then you can buy customizations for it with exotic shards or with collection events

I think iv figured it out if im wrong those upgrades is going to cost 740$ The base cobalt will cost 150 hairloom shards witch is 500$ for those who didnt buy the event the other 4 can be purchased with exotic shard only after you buy cobalt base iv excluded bass other katars out when counting because you can buy base variants with free exotic shard in battlepasses or events if you choose all 4 stages after the base are going to cost 10$ each witch is 40$ per upgraded katar variant and i think you get the base nitride for free not the whole thing witch is another 40$ added 40$ x 40 thats 240$ plus the 500$ 740$ lol thats how mutch is going cost for some people maybe not all but they say they will offer exotic shards in events and battlepass
yes but you can't really use that as an example because 99% of people aren't outright buying 500 packs in order to get the shards, and if so, the people willing to do that would've most likely already bought the cobalt katar from shadow society.

I think this is the best way they could do the colbalt heirloom, Ofc it’s gonna cost heirloom shards, that’s just like every other heirloom, and you can get a whole free line of customisation for 10 dollars, which is free in the battle pass. Now it is worth it to get the heirloom, aslong as they update animations regularly.

Genuinely pissed they're replacing duos with solos for 6 weeks (or any length of time, really). They should have made it its own standalone LTM. I primarily play this game with a duo, so this just fucks up our gameplan going forward.

She is chasing Horizon in the trailer because in story, many of the failing realities she visits are brought down by what Horizon will do. Alter even has a line around WHY these realities are failing and then stops herself. You don’t want to give all the story away in one trailer.
EA saw that I didn't spent my Crafting Shards on skins or heirlooms and now baiting me with Apex Artifacts... very tempting EA, WP.
Just some words of wisdom to the doom posters. No matter how much you want the game to "die" it will never happen. As long as thr game is free to download and play people will always be on Apex. The free to play model is literally a money generating glitch. While a lot of you are dissatisfied with both EA and respawn it wont change the fact that anyone can just download and play the game.

The first thing I'm going to do is do nothing but play Solos the entire time it's out. I'm not joking. I'll miss playing the real game, but this will be my first shot ever getting to play Solos, and I'm never going to get a better chance to improve on the fundamentals in an environment where I am my own whole team. I'm genuinely super hype to play and figure out where I'm failing as an individual with no copium about it somehow being my teammates fault. Firing range, R5, Mixtape, none of it seems to help me when it comes to working on nerves in the real game.
Taking a lot of notes from Valorant it seems. Upgrading new skins with new battlepass currency, and new legend ult being like chambers TP.

I really don't like the Katars, they just look like big impractical melee weapons. So I don't think I would use them, even if I get one.
