Ford truck has space to merge sooner but chooses to merge halfway into turn lane.

This proves that even when vehicles have space to merge to avoid cutting into turn lane they will still choose to cut into traffic creating road rage from those that don't like vehicles cutting in on them last minute when it was easily avoided. All I ask is why didn't they just merge safely rather than create a situation? And even before the truck comes into view there was space as we had been bumper to bumper and I was just starting to go.
