I have been off Media Composer for a couple years but I always love your content. It's like putting on a warm blanket just seeing everything that's the same, new, or even new to me because i never worked that way before. I sure do miss AMC and hope to return to it one day!

I've been trying MC for a month back in March. Opened it 3 times, And closed it in panic. This is the first time I open MC, And feeling I am soon to feel at home. It will take a few videos - But I believe that after watching them, I'll feel totally different. I even went and started a yearly subscription, That's how much I believe in your teaching :) Eventually, After all the step by step lessons, I would love to see you use all the shortcuts and show a video editing process start to finish. I would love to get rid of reaching the mouse, editing faster. And would love to see your preferred process and shortcuts. after the "official" ends. Not because your editing is better, But rather see an end-to-end process, to link all of it in our minds...
What are Matte keys/matte channels/Alpha channels? And when importing, If the bins are on my removal drives will that affect performance? I'm used to linking files that are on my internal SSD.
How do I import or link to the correct metadatas of the clips? E.g. if my clip was shot on 11.11.22 it doesnt indicate so. It indicates the day of the linkage/import like 11.11.23. In the past I used the Nablet plugin which indicated every date correctly, but this doesnt work anymore on the current version of Media Composer on a Mac (which is for me 2023.2). Thanks a lot in advance.

I don’t understand. If we are not supposed to edit with linked media, why would we use link media for? Why is even there?
