Hey Kevin...love this series.....one tip i use is to drag a 3D warp onto a clip, go into effect mode w/o changing any parameters and drag the effect icon into a Favorites bin so its easy to get to in the future.....and PIP.....2 sharpen settings, 2 BCC effects...and a few others .....then make the BIN a Favorite and it will always show up in any project......
At 18:09 you selected the clip and added an In and Out point with some shortcut, could you in future videos explain when you are using certain helpful shortcuts, because that seemed very useful?
Hi Kevin, thanks for the great tutorials, I always walk away learning something new! Is it possible to request a tutorial on Script Sync (and/or workflow of documentary)since it is so integral to editing unscripted shows and it has gone through many changes(with or without extra fee) inside Media Composer? Thank you!
Don't do a class on title tool or titile+ yet. Its being rewritten totally as has been communicated by the Facebook group. and you are on Windows using the old tool but the Title + does not work at all and nobody should use it. Wait till the tool is re released..
Appreciate your time and effort to put out Avid tutorials, but honestly, it just isn't grabbing any interest from today's editors, the program is so outdated and so unpractical. Only old timers find it workable, but new young editors don't. I mean, to manipulate the size, position, rotation of a clip, it is by default there in other NLEs, but in Avid you have to add an effect to it, and then the way to adjust parameters.... toooooo much of a hassle for the overwhelming majority out there, no!
@@LetsEditMC_Avid True, but also a lot of feature films (don't have the stats) use Premiere Pro. Plus, network TVs use Avid, Adobe, and DaVinci all together. And these take up less than 5-10% of the total content output globally. Avid is great for file management, but...

BTW....3D warp is easy to use and grasp (see tip above).....and you get AVID media management.....tell the youngsters!

So....does modern day Avid have more color space tools other then just full scale and legal in/out settings?

It really depends on where you want your post career to take you. Media Composer is entrenched in network television and feature films.
