Te doy Like. Pero hubiese estado mejo si le dejabas la musica original a cada titulo. Y seguro estarìa mejor que lo puedas relatar, aunque sean algunos puntos bàsticos!
    Saludos! =)

I think Elf Mania showed that it was technically possible to do a good fighting game on the Amiga OCS. They tried to be different with the coins which in turn changes the pace of the gameplay and waters down what most ppl want in a fighting game, like the fighting! remove the coins and refine the fighting and it could have been a much better game. But what also doesn't help is the 1 (or sometimes 2) button sticks most ppl had, and there really wasn't a reason to not have a real fighting stick (you can use a CD32 controller on an A500) I don't think the OCS had enough chip RAM for the animations and sound for SFII but maybe ECS and certainly AGA.

@@daishi5571 Agreed. There were quite a few games that demonstrated that the Amiga was more than capable of running Street Fighter-type games. I would argue that Body Blows, Fightin' Spirit and Shadow Fighter had pretty good gameplay too. Elfmania could have been great - but was held back for the reasons you mention - plus some very silly visual design in the case of half the characters. As for Street Fighter 2, it would have been possible for a top development team to make a great conversion by making some compromises, such as: redrawing the graphics entirely to work well with a smaller palette, making the characters smaller, reducing the screen size etc. The important thing would be to keep the gameplay intact and have the whole thing running at 50fps. As many games have shown, this is perfectly possible for an Amiga fighting game.

¿comparten el mismo catalogo como play 4 y play 4 pro o la 1200 es retro compatible con la 500?

The comparison would be more correct with the same games which available for both machines . I agree with the music issue but I like the actual music too . Awesome tracks but what are these , which games from ? Both machine is superb and yes , the A1200 is better than A500 . 256 color games , a bit faster 3D , higher resolutions are nice step forward , but the sound is identical to A500 . A 8 channel sound chip would've been great , as the Atari Falcon had it .

Hi, read description of the video for the music.
Not all fighting games with great graphics, are available on both computers.
The video has been made, to see that Commodore Amiga 500 and 1200, are very similar in games, but of course that the A1200 is better

Master system has better version of Street fighter 2.

Super Street Fighter 2 (not turbo) got both ECS (A500) and AGA (1200) versions and would be much better used on this kind of video.
Street Fighter 2 and Super Turbo were developed at different moments by different teams

There wasn't generic SF2 for AGA, only Super (ECS too) and Turbo

@alxxpspqr Sorry mate, you're wrong. There is Super Street Fighter 2 for ECS, I've played it on my A600.

    • @rafaellima83
      @rafaellima83 4 роки тому

@alxxpspqr But it's one of the best fighting games on the ECS, for real. It looks like shit, it sounds like shit, but it plays insanely well.
Elfmania and Body Blows played like shit and nothing like a proper fighting game at all. THey were also tailored to the system they were running. Same thing with Shadow Fighter which uses SO many clever tricks of the hardware that were great for how THAT game was designed, but would be useless for Street Fighter. I mean, have you ever noticed Shadow FIghter characters only have 5 colors each, and 3 of them are shared among ALL characters? That's HOW they managed to make the game run so well on an ECS system with those big sprites - it's running on Dual Playfield.
Try to redraw Street Fighter characters using just 5 colors each, with 3 of them having to be shared among ALL characters. Shadow Fighter was designed around this.
It's always easy to say "The hardware could have done better" if you actually never tried to write code on it. Body Blows looks better? Yeah, but each character has like 1/10 of frames a SF character has ahd moves stiffy as hell. Fighting Spirit looks great? Yes it does, but it doesn't have any bg animation, it runs at a worse framerate, the controls are very stiffy and, again, not even close to have the same amount of frame animations an SF game has.
There was *no* way you could fit all graphics and sounds to a single fight of SSF2 on the 1mb of Ram of a normal ECS system. I find it was a very missed opportunity they didn't use extra RAM when systems had it to load more frames/sfx, but the loading times were already atrocious as it is. All in all, the guys did a very reasonable job with a game no one even expected would exist at that point of the Amiga life.

@alxxpspqr It's because the console can access the rom directly as if it was its own RAM. It works in a completely different way.
Also the way the screen works on the Mega-Drive/Snes and the way it works on an Amiga its completely different. You need to use quite a fair amount of Ram just to draw a screen on amiga (even more if you use a Double Buffer, which you will need in a game like this). So it's like comparing Apples with Bananas :)
Shadow Fighter is a great game, but the game looks and runs excellent because it was tailored towards the hardware. It also took 3 or 4 years to be made (I doubt SSF2 on Amiga took more than 6 months). Shadow Fighter uses every coding trick you can think of... it uses copper-splits, HW sprites for added background details/parallax, Dual Playfield so the characters can be redrawn on a empty playfield, having no need to redraw background when they move (Which speeds up stuff by at least 50%, probably way more)... you can't do Street Fighter 2 around those tricks without turning it on a completely different game :)
