I know probably all your viewers don't like you just read patch notes. But as for me I love to listen to my favorite UA-camrs read me the patch notes so I don't have to take the time to read them. I really really appreciate you reading the patch notes
after about 30 minutes of talking, I was ready to get onto playing the game. Could've probably spent another 30 minutes talking but I think folks were getting impatient
Drunk! Hell yea man sad I miss this stream but doing plumbing rough in and sheetrock and mud. Excited for the next patch thankful for the hero’s over at IS
That was sik af. I did miss the little bear though with that look of "wtf man"? on its face. :) I also did like the loading screens too. I was taken a bit back at first that it looked ai generated, but it was actually pretty good in what it showed. I only managed to see the one with the guy driving away from spiffo burger before they ripped them out. :(
So construction worker just got a buff and it was already one of the best in my mind. Low initial point cost. Short blunt being one of the best weapons, easy to find weapons in that class, also you need one handed so you can carry a flashlight in off hand in dark buildings. The carpentry boost is nice for leveling and getting to fortifying and setting up a base quick from the start. Add to construction worker wilderness knowledge and you have your maintenance boost as well. With this if you add fast learner, you can take pacifist for added points for like gymnast for a nimble boost. Seeing you start with 3 skill boost in short blunt, and fast learner boost, doesnt even affect skill gain for that weapon.
I love construction worker! Probably my favorite occupation for all the reasons you mentioned. I will say this though....ax and long blunt have more craftable weapons which may or may not matter, long term
My fav is the repairer occupation. Seems to be diy expert now I liked that one for the better maintenance increase it had and add the handy trait. Also a very slept on trait is whittler. That carving +2 for so few points is almost cheating. Keep that hammer going forever almost until the head breaks. Seems they give them all carving +1 now anyway. That axe man one is cheating. :p All that and even points. Add the negative 2 strength and whittler/handy, you're laughing. Only thing is good luck finding an axe, that is the actual handicap.
appreciate it y'all! I was really on the fence with the patch notes but I feel like patch notes helps everyone understand the game more. That said, this patch was nearly 400 lines long and I could have spend an hour and half on the patch notes but folks on the live stream were starting to get antsy
@ I was just thinking in the last hour how a fully zero loot run would go with a forager. If you set the diminished loot setting to 100 there is literally nothing. Every cupboard is empty upon spawn in. I only tested it that far as I wanted to see what that very ambiguous setting did. I don't read reddit so would not have seen that.
@@Drunkonlife Thank you, that's very helpful! I am using the crops one though I haven't actually been able to even plant any crops since installing it and the battery fix so I'll take those out before updating when the patch drops.
Sorry, couldn't afford to watch the whole video yet and also didn't want to spoil myself, but is there any time mentioned this might get released? Asking since I have an AMD gpu and am staring at a black screen when starting the game.
maybe? Really depends if/how many mods you are using. For perspective, I tested my previous run (with a mod or two) and it appeared to work without any problems. If you are using some of the "fixes" mods that are currently out there, there's a chance that a mod may break your save
I like build 42 so far. Just have one problem, and don't know if it's a bug or not. I can't find a single axe or hatchet. I'm about 4 weeks in now. Have looted 2 hardware stores. 3 general stores. Many garages. And haven't found any. Normally i see z's walking around with a hatchet in them. But non at all this game. Was wondering if anyone else had this experience. Now have to clear 200 z's just to see if i can find one in the factory warehouse. Maybe it's because of the large amounts of farming stuff taking it's place in the loot table? Or am i really just this unlucky?
@@agentnuget I think it's some type of loading error or maybe a mistake in programming. I cleared out the z's and checked the factory warehouse. I did find 2 hand axes. But not a single hatchet. And i noticed that many of the boxes had the exact same loot in the same amount and in the same order. There were like 5 types of boxes in the warehouse. And every type had like 10 exact copies. Only a few boxes seemed to have different loot.
@@agentnuget This. I did eventually get one as a zombie gift. I didn't find a single sledge hammer in muldraugh. I did finally find one in an echo creek survivor house though.
I've found a few axes easily enough but they DO seem to be rarer. I haven't played enough games to make up my mind for certain, though. The loot tables being affected would make sense, though.
Now that so many more skills are more important and there are less viable bad traits to take, they should increase the default starting skill points for single player. As far as I know their intent on having specialized skills was only for multiplayer or when NPCs come out, but right now it's way too much of a slog to level up skills that you don't have a trait invested in, and it's just not possible to invest in all the craft skill traits (heck, I think some of them don't even have traits currently for that matter)
I know probably all your viewers don't like you just read patch notes. But as for me I love to listen to my favorite UA-camrs read me the patch notes so I don't have to take the time to read them. I really really appreciate you reading the patch notes

probably the biggest patch I've seen IndieStone drop and it has a ton of great fixes incoming! Hopefully it will drop soon for IWBUMS
Thanks for letting us know that there an update comming keep doing what you do best =)
Thank you!
"Nothing interesting in the basement." Nothing but a big box freezer and loads of building room for carpentry experience.
I see nothing....what you see is a field of dreams! And now I see it!
Are they reintroducing again the new main menu animated intro? If so that is so dope i really loved the new one before they took it out

probably not unfortunately
the guy driving away from spiffos abandoning that woman was probably my favorite one!

@Drunkonlife yea next on list for occupation pick was always firefighter, usually combined with brawler. 👍

@Retro-Iron11 In build 41 it was a pick of mine for the maintenance, but I think they changed its point cost, which hurt it allot.
@ Yea, seems they nerfed it while then over powering other classes. Be interesting to see the full list when the patch drops though.
I hope they patch the plumbing and battery drain. Surprised they're not on the list. Unless I missed them.
@jeffm21 saw the battery drain being one of the fixes. Not too sure on plumbing though.
@@MaxStone2015 Great! Thanks for pointing that out.

I’m down for high pop settings but when I play I refuse to play with respawns beyond maybe cell migration
that's a very fair point
Making twine from dogbane is so important they mentioned it twice. I got dogbane from foraging.
it's one of those new items that will be a bridge for a truly wilderness run. Lemmy mentioned this in his most recent essay on the zomboid subreddit.

It didn't with mine BUT....if you are using a lot of mods (especially the "mod fixes") all bets are off

patch was released yesterday
Excited for this, but the second I know a build is coming I kinda lose interest in playing until it drops, fingers crossed it's not too long a wait!

will we have to make a new save after this patch

I think you're just super unlucky. They seem to be much more rare - although a crude axe is really easy to craft if you wanted to go that route.

Good thing in sandbox you can change the xp gain per skill and the starting points too.
Is the animal multiplying glitch gonna be fixed?
Yes
@@Drunkonlife what part of the patch says it? i saw some things that had to do with animals but couldn't figure out what one focused on that bug.
"Added precautions against chickenpocalypse"
@@Drunkonlife didn't it happen with other animals or is it just a key word?
@plutonium5215 it covers all animals I'm guessing
