- Last weekend in Nottingham will be remembered for the shocking moment a Leicester City supporter ran onto the pitch and assaulted Nottingham Forest players celebrating their third goal. Cameron Toner, 19, has been charged with “three counts of common assault and going onto a playing area at a football match” and is due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on February 24.
But for officers on duty in Nottingham, it was only one of many football-related incidents across another weekend that shamed the national game. Times Sport's Matt Lawton reports on the new face of hooliganism threatening the game.

Perhaps they should start taking ecstasy, it stopped football violence in the late 80s.
100%
Said it a thousand times. Hooliganism is far worse in the rest of europe.
There's a lot worse going on these days. Not much harm done
It´s the alcohol... the only drug that makes you fight and be agressive and disrespectfull
Imagine chanting you're storm the pitch........
But you don't actually storm the pitch 🙈🙄🖕🤣
More likely it's the alcohol causing the villence, but wait a sec. That's legal, so let's blame the coke instead
These clows would get annihilated by the hooligans of the 70's and 80's. Even now in their old age
Footballs getting cancelled, just you watch
One of the Old skool of 70s and 80s. Much Red Army. Best time of my life.
Maybe wider societal problems are the cause here rather than the use of Class A drugs and alcohol and the subsequent violence being a symptom.
You can tell who ever made this video hasn`t got a clue what they`re talking about. Drugs have nothing to do with it. Police really don`t understand the problem at all.
Short but not sweet
Football culture 👏
People will allways defend their club its human nature doesn't Britain go to war for pride well then
Love my club absolutely
Definitely, kids like this against “The Ultras” = Bloodbath
Easily lead, impressionable kids/simple minds, from low economic backgrounds living for the time on a weekend when they can act up in the safety of their tribes. Its interesting and worrying that standing areas in stadiums are making a return when the mob mentality is creeping back in slowly. Hope football clubs are prepared with sufficient staff and security numbers + training to deal with it. There are alot of games played each week here in the uk. It only takes a few small incidents to set off a chain reaction which could end up end a tragedy.
more importantly its part of game and everyone thinks its ok
@@pikehenry240 everybody?
Why bother going to a match, it’s a lot safer sitting at home and watching it on tv.
