I have to say please don't apologize for reselling. There are many MANY people who are unable to go out and you are also saving many items from being thrown out. I resell and it's not an easy thing to do. I don't go to big Op shops, just small churches and community second hand stores so it helps them. I also make items using only secondhand items. We are doing a good thing. Love everything you got especially that beautiful big frame 😍
If it weren't for resellers, some people would never be able to find the stuff they love.
So true! Some people don’t have cute stuff at their thrift stores so sellers help people gain access! I’ve even bought stuff from overseas. Some brands have exclusive collections for different countries. Like Lee had these amazing thick corduroy trousers that I’ve only seen in the UK back in the 90’s. I’ve been on the hunt for specific colors online.
I 100% understand the mental health stuff! had to quit my job because of chronic illness but stayed unemployed due to mental health issues. Hang in there, girl, you're doing fabulous! Your editing and filming is so good! Also, that dress is GORGEOUS! Hope u find one in your size!
Thank you Heather! ❤️ I sometimes get down on myself for not being able to hold down a “normal job” - and the financial struggles have been so tough. But I’m trying to remember that I AM working hard right now, just on my own schedule. Realizing that working by someone’s else schedule doesn’t work for me anymore. When I’m awake at 3am and can’t sleep I can edit. When I can’t get out of bed one day I won’t be fired if I take the day off. Being able to work for myself doing content creation and make a living is definitely the goal and I hope this all pays off. Thank you as always for your support! ❤️

I feel you on the job thing - I got fired for the first time in my life about a year ago and have continued to have employment difficulties due to mental health issues. So much of what we see online is heavily staged/edited/filtered to show only the positives, so I think your candor is refreshing.
You’re so right. The majority of what we see on the internet of people’s lives is curated to display the romanticized version. And although I like showing the beautiful and exciting parts of my life on the internet, I also strive to be honest, because that is where the deep connections are. ☺️

It’s definitely something that isn’t spoke about but is more common than people think. We are taught in todays society to disregard our needs which causes major burnout, which I experienced. Burnout and crisis. But I’m hoping the positive steps I’m taking will benefit me and my family in the long run, and inspire others as well ☺️

Just a little advice. Please don’t apologize or even feel that you need to justify about reselling vintage. There is a lot of unfounded hate, virtue signaling, and ignorance online against resellers when even the most successful resellers (which are not most of resellers) are barely getting by. Tons of second hand clothing or clothing at thrift stores never sell and end up in landfills in third world countries. Reselling is not only a way to earn some money but it’s also a way to give another life to pieces that might have otherwise been thrown out.
Thank you I appreciate that. And you’re right. I suppose I just felt guilty for swiping up a much sought after item that most people can’t afford when resold online. Gunne Sax are sold for really high prices and I especially can’t afford one being resold online. I actually hope I can trade it for one in my size if I can. I’ve always wanted one… my mom got married in a Gunne Sax so I’ve grown up knowing about them.

Ok. Thrifting in USA is sooo much better then Norway. Here you can't really find anything and it's also super expensive 😅
Don't you be apologetic about being a reseller! I have an entire costume room of thousands of vintage garments like a big archive. They have their purpose, too. Are they out there getting worn every day? No. Do people get enjoyment from them. Yes. You do you in an unapologetic way. If a vintage item isn't going to a landfill it is a win!
So true. People don’t realize how much textiles get wasted and end up in landfills. Billions of pounds a year!! 😱
While it's never fun to have someone swoop in to resell something you'd have liked to wear, that's not what usually happens. A lot of clothes end up in the landfill because no one buys them. Thrift shops receive new articles quicker than they can sell the ones they have. It's kinda sucky when people make huge profits on thrifted stuff, but it's not this huge injustice or anything. It's fine.
I'm an older viewer and I was so in love with Gunne Sax when it was really big. Have you ever heard of Outback Red, based on the clothes from Out of Africa? BTW, you owe no apology nor explanation for your mental health concerns. I hope you're doing well a year after this video!
