My heart breaks for all who are having to deal with this right now! God bless the bomberos they are true heroes! Love and prayers for those sadly lost & their families in every one of these horrific incidents! ❤❤❤
Its really sad to read that two women (a 33 year old and 47 year) have been arrested for deliberately setting fires in a dozen locations between them. Totally disgusting acts of arson if found guilty and they should throw the book at them. What makes two women do something like this? Mind blowing! Also a 75 year old man arrested for inadvertently starting a fire by using a metal disk cutter.
That is horrible.
Well the only problem is that info is completely false... no women where detained in relation to the fires...! Until now according with the GNR they detained 7 man in the regions of Leiria, Castelo Branco, Porto e Braga accused of arson, but no women...!
A new fire in your village Tony?
Unfortunatelly planes aren't the complete solution, there's what they call the smoke ceiling and it makes it impossible for them to operate. It hurts a lot to see places I know so well under such a peril.
Thanks for the coverage.
Hoping this nightmare will be over asap with no more losses of life , immense thank you to all helping to put out these fires
Very sad to see & to hear there's lives been lost 😥
We're over in a couple of weeks & flying into Porto & driving down to just South of Coimbra, so carefully watching what's happening & hoping things get under control asap
Grim, stay safe.
Horrendous situation really feel for you guys up north stay safe 🇵🇹love from us down south in the Algarve
ooh we are neighbours! in Vale de Giaos. Keep safe
Yes !!!!! after 5 years of being away I' m returning to Portugal to visit my only sister , but the fires are all around her house . I am still in Canada but I am hoping that by the time I arrive in 1 weeks time things will be better, as she lives near Tabua.
Temperature is now going down and it will rain in a couple of days, so it is expected to be over soon one way or another.
I hope for the people and animals in that area that it will be better TODAY and not only when you come over ..talking about ego ...smh
rain season is approaching, thank god! let this nightmare end already..
Today the 18 the fires on that region are controlled and almost extinguished...!
Shit, so sad
Thanks for covering this. Really helpful for me to visualise the situation in my absence. Glad its calm now. Cheers
Sending prayers to all affected, so sad watching what's happening in beautiful Portugal...Hoping you the boys and dogs stay safe ❤️
thank you for covering these terrible fires, hope its. ot near where you live
Fortunately it seems that the fire on that region is controlled now...!
It is incredibly sad that people have lost their life trying to put the fire out.
Only one of 7 casualties was directly cause by a fire, of the 4 firefighters who died, 3 were in a car crash and 1 died of natural causes. The 7th casualty was an old woman who also died of natural causes. None of the 6 remaining casualties died trying to put the fires out.
@@module79l28If there were no fires, they wouldn't be in those places so no accident wiuld have occurred. The old person probably died of fright. Your comment is suspicious.
@@lauramartins5953 Thank you for clearing that up. 👍That person to which you replied has now removed the comment, so that says enough about that person. I don't understand why people make such absurd comments with false statements. I really don't. It seems as if these days too many people are sick in their brain.
@@insAneTunA It's almost as if they were defending the arsonists from some sort of potential manslaughter charges...
@@insAneTunA - I didn't remove anything! I came here because I received the notification of your comment and I'm surprised to find that my comment was deleted! I also commented twice today on another post (@mmr6825) and both comments were also deleted. That only happened in this video, so I suspect "someone" doesn't like my comments.
As for your comment, what I wrote was neither absurd nor false. Two people must've ressuscitated because now the ANEPC says that the number of casualties is only 5, so apparently I was right about something.
👍👏
People should know that these fites started on places rich in lithium!!! Elon musk was here in Portugal a few months ago contracts were made.criminal fire.pray for us❤😢
Stop feeding conspiracy theories, there's no lithium in the areas where the fires are raging! 😠
That's total conspiracy bullshit
Stop feeding that conspiracy theory, there's no lithium in the areas affected by the fires!
PS: I commented the same thing 5 hours ago but someone deleted the comment. Let's see what happens to this one.
@@Daniel_QWERTZ I have seen this comment before. Foreign hostile nations are trying to divide and destabilize our society in Europe. It strongly appears that the person behind the comment seems to have written it for that specific purpose.
