Nice detailed review! I also found that Fury Bowser appeared too frequently. I would've liked the game to make Fury Bowser's appearance switchable (if that's a word) after beating the story for the first time, so that after that you can focus on the remaining Cat Shines in peace. Also I find it unfortunate that there is no way to replay older versions of the dynamic levels and find the older Cat Shines. You'll really have to start a new save file then. Further having to wait for Fury Bowser because some shines are locked behind those blocks is a bit annoying. I think all of this stuff could've been made more player-friendly somehow. This game is great but feels a bit unpolished sometimes. Finally, a little nit-pick, but I would've liked to see all of the goop disappear after 100% completion to see Lake Lapcat "cleaned up". Something positive: Visually/graphically this is my most favourite Mario game. Odyssey looks great too but more realistic, while this game looks more like Mario, more colourful and cartoony. Combine that with the HD textures and great effects. It's really wonderful.
I agree. It would have been nice post-game to have a way to toggle Fury Bowser on/off. Overall I think it's good the development team got this chance to experiment with the Mario formula. It does feel like an experiment - not quite as fleshed out or as polished as it could be but hopefully that pays off big time with the next 3D Mario game.
This is great quality content, keep it up for sure. I've noticed such a great trend of really small UA-camrs making consistently great content recently, one that I found as of late is called Wendigoon, and he's starting to get a lot of attention on his channel. I hope you go places on UA-cam, or wherever you wanna go I guess.
Oh dang! I was just seriously thinking, "I must be watching some billion subscriber UA-cam channel" and then saw only one comment, a few views, and a handful of subscribers... Dude! You are totally unrated! But count me in... I subscribed!
They're testing the system capabilities. I think Open world will be the next Mario in the new system. I always thought Mario Oddysey will be open world back when they announced it.
It's been longer than I expected between Mario Odyssey and the big 3D Mario follow-up so it's a good bet they're doing something a little more ambitious than Mario Odyssey 2. But at this point I'd welcome either approach.
Awesome review! I had a lot fun with the game. My favorite parts were collecting all of the Cat Shines so I could unlock Mini Giga Mario. Also, I actually thoroughly enjoyed the boss fights with Bowser Fury. It was satisfying to throw the bricks at him whenever he would drop them. However, I do agree that the camera panning was extremely slow and annoying at times. Other that that, great review! Subbed!
Awesome! Glad you enjoyed it so much. It is a very good game. I just thought Bowser stood out as the weakest part. But at the end of the day, Mario games are almost always a ton of fun and this one definitely was too. Thanks for watching and thanks for the sub!
When I saw the title it said debug mode then I watched to video. I thought this dude is gonna tell us the debug mode code but it was just his user name this dude is a trickster.
Sorry. I wasn't trying to trick anyone with my channel name. "Debug mode" describes the idea of analyzing games and figuring out how they work or don't work. Also it wasn't taken by somebody else. So I used that. I realize that I inevitably get some views from people who are looking for the actual developer debug mode menus but I'm honestly not trying to trick anyone or make clickbait.

Thanks for the kind words - and the sub! This is by no means my full time gig or even my sole hobby but I try my best to put out high quality stuff.

my small brain didnt read the channel name, and thought that this was an actual debug mode for bowsers fury.
You are definitely not the first. I wasn't trying to deceive people when I named the channel but it does tend to cause confusion. Sorry about that.
