Yes sir, you did put the word of caution out there re: lubing the chain. I still appreciate the time and detail you put into demonstrating these maintenance procedures for the Tiger. Thank you...
Warning for folks with newer Tigers: They changed the airbox screws to torx at some point. Be sure you have the right tools before you tear the whole bike apart.
Thank you a lot! Great Tutorial! I fixed my T800 Idle speed thanks to your videos. They gave me directions to find a buterfly's skeleton between the idle speed control stepper motor and the throttle. Because of it, it was a sacrifice to turn on my bike, even if it was hot. Many thanks to you!
Hey muddydsump, Just now took delivery on my new tiger 800...what an awesome bike! Your how-to vids are great (except lubing the chain with engine running, (a few fingers may get nipped off following that method) other than that please keep these first rate and thorough instructions coming
Thanks. I think everything's up there for the 800 now. I don't have my bike anymore. Sold it to get a van to work. I think I put watch your fingers or something on the video when lubing it ;-)
Very helpful, thanks, however, the procedure is slightly different in a XR model,,I just did it,but your videos have helped and saved $$$$$$ couple thousand for sure
You can just do the first bit to replace the filter. no need to remove the whole airbox. I wired my gps lead into the parking light wiring so it only has power to the sat nav when the bike is turned on. You can just put it to the battery but just remember to take your gps off when your parked up because it will drain the battery
Take the beak off and take the headlight surround off by the 4 little torx screws then you can pull the parking light bulb out of the headlight and have enough space on the wire to solder the sat nav wires in.
I bought a K&N air filter for my bike. I assume I only need to complete the steps to remove the air filter. Should I remove the airbox to clean it too?? Thanks for your vids!! On a separate note: I want to "hardwire" my gps to the electrical system. Would you recommend wiring it directly to the battery or another way? Thanks!
Thank you so much for your valuable videos! I'm really new in this whole maintainance part of riding and learning :) I have a quite rough idle and a stuttering engine at low rpm. can it be that a clogged breather pipe can be the issue?
Thanks for the Video Muddy sump, would it be fair to say that once the airbox has been removed you can then get to the starter motor for removal, or is there other parts to remove first. Thanks again!
Just like the rest of the folks I appreciate these vids and learning a lot. Have one question though. How did you clean the wiring and connectors and all the stuff at the upper section of air inlets? They look like new. I fell into mud and everywhere damn muddy.
Thanks for the video it helped a lot,I just got a 2013 Tiger 800 used and am starting to check everything, that really is a lot of effort just to get to the air cleaner but was easy to change the plugs with it apart like this.I don't know how you feel about K&N air filters but that's what I put in,it says replace every 12,000 miles and mine just hit that I'll see how it runs with the K&N.
@@pauldavies9360 Honestly, not a lot but at the time I also had that Arrow exhaust can on there which I decided to ditch and put the stock one back on because of the noise and the baffle for it seems to be impossible to find. But with the K&N and stock exhaust the bikes MPG has improved to around 40 and it runs great anyway,I really love this bike.
great tutorial,..would it be virtually the same method removing the airbox from a 2013 street triple do you know??...and would you need to remove the tank in order to do so...thanks man, bizz
+Bizz yes, pretty much. No need to remove the tank on the new shaped street triples. You can just take the front mounting screws out and pivot the tank right up with everything still connected
Hello there I have a tiger triumph but its kilometer has broken and it doesn't start what do I do now I am from Afghanistan and tools of this motorcycle is not here
Hi Eduardo. Do you mean the engine light is on the speedo? If you turn the bike on with something unplugged it will come on. Make sure everything is plugged in and after riding it 3 times it should go off by itself. Hope that makes sense David
+MuddySump Thanks for the answer... but it's all connected. the problem and I had placed a candle defective and turn the bike , the engine began to fail , hung up, put the old candle and returned to work normally , but not light goes ... I think the memory recorded error and so resetting the ECU will delete .... what do you think?

Cracking videos mate! Clean precise and great camera quality.

+Juan Perez yea, there's a few extra pipes on with the secondary air injection and they've gone and changed a lot or screws on the bike to torx heads
You can just do the first bit to replace the filter. no need to remove the whole airbox.

+Der Pringles doubt it will be that. Have a look at the idle motor. Probably got dirt around it giving a false reading

I think they were just clean still. Can use some wd40 on a rag to wipe it down
i'm in love with these videos! will you ever make some about how to reach the starter engine?
No, don’t have the bike anymore. Once the airbox is off you have to pull the throttle bodies out of the way too. You can get to everything then

I’ve always just used standard filters. I’ve seen a lot of k&n filters fitted to bikes and they seem happy with them
How was the KN filter mate? Could you notice a difference?

MuddySump Brilliant,..thanks very much for the information Muddy,..ride safe bro...bizz
Ok. Thanks! Again, I'll need some help with that.. never soldered before. Although I'm sure I could learn how on youtube!
Thanks a lot! I would def prefer to wire my GPS like you did. I'll have to find someone to help me out though.. Cheers!

+Eduardo Buonacura yes, if it's working fine now clearing the code should keep it off.
+MuddySump
