A whole avocado. A few rice cakes, some oil free garlic hummus. Great meal/snack for me. So tasty. Usually have a few cups of hummus in my fridge at all times. When avocados go on sale loose I make some guacamole and perserve it with some lemon or lime. Lasts for 2 days. So good. You can also freeze avocados too. Yeah it isnt good to eat very many avocadoes, coconuts, or other plant based products with a higher fat content. often a lot of resources go into producing foods like these. Palm, cocount, almond, walnut, hazelnuts, avocadoes, etc... We can either use our current resources we have more efficiently(aka not letting them go to waste) or make the effort to eat more locally and support farmers who support mixed farming. We need food forestry and we need it soon.

So growing up I would not touch Avocado. Then, I learned about Mexican food and got into guacamole and loved it but still would not touch plain avocado by itself. Then, 12 years ago I stopped eating meat and started appreciating more veggies. I tried avocados again and couldn't believe how creamy and delicious they were. Now, I absolutely love them. I use them in place of mayo or cheese most times. Here in AZ they are cheap because we are so close to Mexico and California. Thanks for mentioning the fair trade option. I still think we can come up with some way to grow them sustainably without causing problems to the cultures that grown them. Obviously there is still room for improvement. Maybe we can grow them on all that land is used for cattle if we can stop animal agriculture.

Wonderful video! I'm glad you showed both the pros and cons of avocado. Avocado has been my favorite food for almost a decade. While visiting Hawaii and working in a permaculture garden there for three months, I saw many avocado trees, they're so amazing. One tree in particular in the middle of a village was way over 100 feet high, perhaps 150 feet high and 100 feet diameter, it was huge, and there were thousands of visible giant avocados on it! We filled up a big bag in "no time". Love to you both. :)

Someone’s already probably mentioned it, but if you store half an avocado in the fridge, make sure it’s the half with the seed then you can just wrap it and it’s the same as the lemon juice, it won’t brown for a day or two with the seed left in🤗

If you have any problems with fall, burned/damaged or dehydrated hair try to put on a bio avocado, coconut mil and grapeseed oil and let the magic begin. Oh! and it is a mask so let it do his work by staying on your hair for some minutes. Do this some days in like 2 to 4 weeks, and you'll feel amazed. Peace love and compassion to all. :) Derek, you rock! Much love and cheers from Portugal!

Very informative video! Thank you for mentioning the “dark side” as I had no idea. I will definitely be more conscience when it comes to eating this decadent treat.

You are god-sent or angel-dispatched to me. Anthony William, the medical medium saved me by curing me from GERD, hypothyroidism or Hashimoto’s disease, vertigo, fatigue, brain fog..... But I was (almost) lost at figuring out what to eat for breakfast lunch and dinner...until I found you! I’ve been telling all the people around me to read medical medium’s books to heal. And if they don’t know what to eat after reading the books, they should watch your video. Or they could just watch your video to eat healthy. You are my favorite UA-camr.

so just to clear up some confusion slantro is the plantIs coreander is the seed When you buy slantro micro greens you can get slantro and coreander together. I know because our farm grows slantroe. Just thought I would throw that out there

Love your videos!! They’re very informative 👏🏻
In Brazil we eat avocado as a fruit. We make avocado smoothies with milk. Sometimes I just cut the avocado in half, add some agave on top and eat it with a spoon. Soooo good! 😋 but excessive eating avocado or any high fat food causes me acne so I can only eat it once in a while 😭

Just started watching your channel, loving the content! So much great in depth info on nutrition and health. Love that you are really honest with the details such as talking about the bad side to avocados and not just pushing the good bits. Great content, great energy and very motivating. Keep it up!
