For me personally, the Galaxy Note 9 is definitely Phone of The Year 2018. Not only does it have great specs, but also tons of attractive features that many other phones out there doesn't have. Personally, I like that Calling feature when you put the thing at your ear. 2018 is still on the way and yet the Note 9 have already outperformed every other phones there is right now

Hey Im thinking about getting this phone from an iphone. The thing is that iphones get updates regularly and these dont do they hold up after 2 uears or so?
I still have my Note 5 from like 5 years ago and it's still running as fast as day one... I haven't noticed any speed differences, I am also running Android Oreo currently on the phone, I don't use it much, but it's still really fast. I am soon going to get the Note 9, I am really excited... But anyways, I'd recommend you to switch... My current phone is an iPhone X, and I am so not happy this year with Apple. Don't worry about updates. You can enter the Samsung Phone Upgrade Program (Apple has it too), and get a new phone every year by only paying half price for it
Got a 512 gb/8gb ram model fantastic phone and not in a rush to replace it! Nothing compares to it even the stuff made today, don't forget you can increase the storage on the 512gb model up to 1tb!

why spend time and money designing an esthetically pleasing phone only to be always covered in a protective casing. Why not just produce phones that have a protective outer shell as they roll out of the factory??? SMH
Samsung already makes phones like that: the active line but it's usually only for AT&T and or Sprint

As I'm watching your video I was trying to remove a spot of dirt from my screen but then realised its a spot on your wall. 😂Great review, and I love the Note9. Btw, also the slight protrusion of the sPen is very handy if using a case. I've noticed it's far easier to get to than on my Note8.

I just picked up my 512G Ocean Blue Note 9 and love it, but still learning snd getting used to it, snd trying to transfer everything s set up from my previous Google Pixel XL 128G. I'm not used to volume buttons on 4t he left side, but easy to make screen shots. I am updating and upgrading as my Pixel XL battery died after hard use over time, expending my recharge cycles. Ditto for my Mophie Juice Pack battery case that I got replaced under warranty this past summer. I am having that replaced under warranty soon to have as my backup phone. Still good to use at home as a mini tablet, but I have a Galaxy Tab E, too.
I picked up the Speck Presidio case from my Victra Verizon Dealer, since they didn't have the Otterbox Commuter case I have used on all the Motorola Droid phones I had prior to my Pixel XL. It's comparable to the Otterbox, and is temporary, until I get my Mophie battery case that was just recently made available for the Note 9, and unlike the other battery cases available, has wireless charging like the Note 9 does.
I picked up the Blackweb curved glass screen protector with insect guard technology from Walmart for $15. Looks good, easy to clean the screen and apply with the cleaner swabs and nice microfiber cloth I get to use, and the installation tray. No bubbles, perfect installation. Do far so good. I plan to get the 512G microSD card later. Not a rush, but kind of pricey, so will shop around for the best one, and maybe wait a while to see if the price drops a bit.
I have been using the Niteize clip cargo belt holsters for all my Motorola Droids, and my present clip cargo wide load case from my Pixel XL, the Note 9 fits with the case, and probably even with the battery case, but I am getting the newer, and slightly bigger XXL Hardshell holster case soon. I prefer the vertical holster, but the also have the horizontal version, for those that prefer it. Home Depot Carries them, as well as their awesome flashlight belt clip holster and lots of the other Niteize keychain accessories, lights, and reusable gear ties from small to huge...
To me, this is the best phone out there, that is available from all the major carriers and has lots of information and accessories available on, those I know there are a lot of great new phones from the smaller and foreign manufacturers.

@@J3urris The battery is awesome. No it won't last 3 full days of heavy use. But to put it into context, I normally get up in the morning to check my email, see if i have any messages i missed, I check messages on social media, etc. Then I listen to my podcasts in the bathroom while I'm getting ready for work or for whatever I have going on that day. By the time I leave the house an hour later, if it was my old Note 8 i would already be down to mid 80%... on my Note 9 I still get low 90% left and I'm just blown away everytime. And the phone DOES stay much cooler. I will vouch for that.
Basically if you're on the fence about this phone, I would say get it. But. Do not expect something that's going to blow your mind if you're already using a different flagship phone right now.
Note 9 is the best Android phone to date. Get it if that's what you're looking for.

I love my note 9 512gb I got mine in the note 9 `s were on pre order. I have had my note 9 for 5 months and I am still learning about my phone it has so much stuff on it.

Personally, I can't seem to get past it, "perhaps" being a little, too much phone for me !
I can't see myself needing, much less using, what seems to be an almost Overwhelming number of Features.
Maybe if it was a phone you would be using for 10 years or so ? But for a 2 or 3 year phone, I feel it's simply too much !
I AM happy for the people who want, need, will use, and are adept at learning all those Features though !
Plus, even were I to decide on a Samsung phone, I think I would want to wait for the S10+, or the N10, as I feel they will offer the Greatest Upgrades.
Two things I DO commend, are the, Bluetooth S Pen, and the Glorious lack of a Notch !

I m happy with s9 plus....got note 9....but ...couldnt find any major difference except for spen & around 45 mins to 1 hour extra battery....also felt weight slightly when operated with one hand.

Just bought a note 9 2 days ago this video made me appreciate the choice more, especially after a decade of iOS use.
One of the most complete phone in the market right now. No compromise whatsoever. Infact comes with many extra goodies u won't find on any other phone .
I'm coming to this phone from an S7, just picked up my Note today. On my S7 I had a great app called Samsung Themes. It didn't transfer to the Note and I can't find the exact app in the play store. It didn't splatter ads all over or take over my phone. All the theme apps I see in the store are crap and full of ads. Is there anything like that for the Note?
You have a setting in the 9, were you can get a zillion themes and wallpapers both for free and paid ones. That place is Samsung's own. No ads in ANYTHING. Go into "settings" on your phone and then choose "wallpapers and themes". Its a gold mine, good luck! 😉

About the S PEN, is a tool and also an "find the use in everything thing".. and now, a little small digression, the only bad thing on my NOTE9, and I have the blue NOTE/jellow S PEN combo like you, is the glass, GORILLA 5, beeing way too soft and chatching scripes and dents just using the device, always in a case, from day #1.. Uff, would be ok if they had put a screen protector on in the building process, so we would ikely get from it that the glass is somekinda softy and needs to be taken with some caution..
And that is the only one thing that I had noticed on the - side.. Inpressive device, but with a softy glass..))
I'm thinking of buying this phone. My only reservation is I've seen a lot of complaints that the S-Pen is very easily broken.
You can purchase new pen for your note 9 at staples .. they carry a reasonably quailty of choices, although I'm not sure if they are able to be insertex into the phone as the plastic .. I felt that for such an expensive phone, the pen should have been more quailty !

I used my new Note 9 for two days and now I'm back to Note 8. First it has larger batter for longer use. Second S-Pen w/Bluetooth capabilities and Third not much of difference from Note 8! Fourth No SideSync for Note 9!!! I don't care about Dex because I have to have separate monitor, Keyboard and Mouse but SideSync can be used on Windows 10 while I use My PC and the Note 8 on same screen. I can use it as almost same at phone in my hand except S-Pen (on PC Monitor) LOL but on Note 8. I'll donate my note9 to my Mother and she will love it since she had Note 4 forever! 4K display? I have 34" 4K monitor! If you have Note 5 (I had Note 5 to 7 and another 7 to S7 to Note 5 to Note 8 and now Not so impressive Note 9) it will be a big improvement with 512gb internal and optional 512gb MicroSDCard that Samsung doesn't even have it yet! LOL!
Good Video. I'm on the fence with this phone. I am still using my Galaxy s6. It's still ok besides the battery. But I am not sure I want a phone this big or if I want to wait for the s10. Also, I would get the more expensive model as I tend to keep my phones for a long time(still using the s6). And I always use a otter box which would make this phone bigger.

I dropped my note 8 today. The screen is cracked all up the side. There is a horizontal line about 1/3 of that way down and the screen flickers. The most destructive drop I ever had.

Samsung has a tendency to oversaturate colors? Really? I find the pictures that I take on my S6 to be bland in color. I usually have to go back in and touch up pictures to give them more life. Maybe it's an S6 thing I don't know. Really thinking of getting the Note 9 though. Features look like something I'll use.

I have an iPhone and I before I was debating between an iPhone and a Samsung, I chose iPhone. I wish I had chosen Samsung instead, don’t get me wrong this phone is alright but I want something better and ima try to get my parents to call off my contract and get the note 9 for Christmas I really don’t want to wait another year...

i would try a note 9 but i use videostar, imessage, facetime, 3d touch, and prefer a taptic engine over a normal vibration motor but without all of that sure i’d try this phone.

I've been longing for this phone, as I need to upgrade from my Note 5. One thing concerns me though. I've read some reports saying the phone gets warm/hot. Has anyone experienced Note 9 becoming warm/hot under normal usage? Anyone?
I haven't experienced any warm/hot under normal usage and I have the base model, 128 GB.
Lady Love Not mine. Shockingly under control, it only gets warm if you record 4k60 footage for like 15min.
Normal usage so far has the phone cold with no signs of thermal throttling while multi tasking. And that's the 6Gb version, I'd imagine the 8Gb would be the same if not better.
If you want hot. Buy an iPhone and use FB messenger, the phone is awful.
