- Here is a quick How To Replace Jeep Grand Cherokee Wk2 3.6 Oil Pressure Sensor & Oil Cooler Housing! It took me about 6 hours worth of work and roughly $200 for parts. Code P0520

Absolutely fantastic video. Been having this code for 2 years now. After careful review, I think I'll just keep clearing it each time I park so that I can use remote start. Far less work than this. Haha.
Props for doing this!
haha im not mad at that. Took me about 4 months to finally do it
lmao same, been living with it for a year now. Definitely going to finally fix it before this winter so I get my remote start back working every time 😂
GREAT VIDEO AND THANK YOU !!! Was very helpful! 2013 jeep grand Cherokee 4x4, had the code P06DD replaced sensor and cooling unit and was still getting the code finally replaced the rockers and that was the problem but wanted to give you the credit on showing us how to replace the sensor etc! Thanks man
Great to hear you survived lol and thanks for the support!
Great video man, but after seeing this I will just live with the problem.
😂😂 honestly I waited a good while and said eff it, so I can't blame you.
It's time for that Winter Maintenance! My pops use to always say to have an emergency kit in the car and tools and odd things you might need if you break down. More then a few times I've needed them!
He taught you well! Those 30 degree days are hard on any vehicle
Ahhhh!!!! I watched this specifically for the “frustrating part!” How did you get the lower back nut loose on the driver side?? Low profile wrench?
I'm sorry 🥲 that was so hard to film I used a stubby ratchet I think
You probably already figured it out. But if anyone else is reading this, use a long 13mm wrench 🔧 to get the lower back nut loose, yes the top ones are 10mm but the bottom ones are 13mm. You may or may not be able to get a ratchet and socket on there depending on if the bracket that holds a coolant line is off of it.
I have no idea why they even have that dumb bracket in front of that nut anyway. Good luck guys and gals.
So let's say if you were only changing both sensors without removing the housing, would fluids leak from the holes you're reinstalling the new sensors into?
It could, but since the housing sits at the highest point oil travels (roughly) gravity keeps it from spilling out and if it does it's a negligible amount.
I changed my sparks plugs for the first time on my 2014 jeep grand cherokee it was a pain in the ass, not sure if I want to do that again 😅
😂 same it sucks
just got done doing this myself. what a PITA. the worst part is the 13mm bolt on the driver side in the back and getting that bracket loose
That bolt is alone made me want to drink lol glad you got it done!
@@LJsGaragethat's honestly the hardest part of the job 😂
The throttle body comes off with the intake as one piece
Good agreed tip thanks thanks
Definitely need a drink or two for this
Yeah... A bottle :P
Ill get to this eventually but what harm does it pose to the engine to leave it?
Not much honestly since the oil pressure and oil temp sensor are back ups to each other in a sense
How many hours does this book for at a mechanic?
About 4 hrs if I recall
Any torque specs for the housing or sensors that go into it?
There are specs in the manual I believe 106 ft lbs
Great video… i really want to fight the man that designed this sensor location
You and me both!
Is sensor and switch are same thing?
In this case "yes" technically the sensor tells the switches when to engage the fans and such so they work hand in hand
@LJsGarage i changed oil pressure sensor, cooler but still getting error that oil presure switch stuck? WhT to do
Why is it that all these stupid videos cut off the most importantp part. Were people are going to have the most trouble.
It's difficult to film every single detail and we also assume a certain level of mechanic skill so I'll take the feedback next video!
