I was wracking my brain trying to find it last night, it was just vaguely stuck in my head, then I remembered it wasn’t by Haim but by The XX…and then the struggle to find it began.
ok wow I heard this when they first covered it and guess what! It’s 2021 and it’s still the best version of this song (apart from the original) love this forever
The amount this band has blown up is amazing. So happy about it. I remember this being the first song I heard by them 4 years ago; and I love it just as much as I did then.

its a cover of womack and womacks song teardrops. its not on their album they released this year but it possibly could be a single. if you listen to the orginal song, they made it so much better and unique.
@miizaify Read the comment. I didn't say their sound is emo, I said they looked emo. They actually have really haunting sound. The alternating vocalists and slow but deliberate riffs are actually very unlike the uncontrollable emotional angst that comes out most emo bands.
I don't know why I like this band. I just do. It's all very simple stuff. They sound alot like Sonic Youth with a heavy Cure influence. Perhaps The The? Obviously not as talented as either but sound great. This is great background music.
just as long as the band doesn't take credit for the lyrics covers and remakes don't really matter it's just a different take and a new sound to an old song

heard a radio interview from this band. said there next album is gonna be better because they have learnt how to use the instruments properly. so prepare yourself for a shit album. simplicity is what made this a great album.
