Hitting up some fishing spots on Heckscher Drive

- It was another windy day so instead of taking the kayaks out on the water and being blown around Katie and I decided to just drive down Heckscher Drive and hit up some fishing spots.
Hechscher Drive is a great placed to fish.
There are lots of places to pull over, get out and throw a line in.
If that spot isn't working for you then just keep driving down the road & eventually you'll catch something.
If you enjoyed please like & subscribe.

From the look of it bro..Kate may need to get her own camera and get a her own channel, "Kate gone fishing" and Yannking" LOL that sisita is bad!! Thank you so much for sharing! Wow! She is on fiiirrreee!! Smashed the thumbs up button too.
She is the fish whisperer; she can find the fish 👍😃🎣
Thanks for the tips! Keep up the videos, really enjoy them! 👍
Thanks for watching 👍🔥
such a great little stretch of road there. great video!
Thanks; glad you enjoyed the video 🎣😃
Go kate, she's giving you some stiff competition lol. Great productive day on the water, love the white paddle tails.
Yes she was on 🔥🎣
Simpson creek at the beginning! My pops and I used to kayak fish there all the time when I was a teen and we would bring home some good groceries!
Always a great place to fish
Hey y'all really enjoy ya team work just getting out fishing spending time together 😎👍👍👍
Yes we certainly do ❤️😄👍🎣
Thanks for watching
NIce catches, and very nice fishing location! :)
Thanks
Nice catch..I've been in that neck of the wood and caught nothing but I had fun.
Some days are hit or miss there
Dang! Katie caught a lot of trout, that was a decent flounder too!
Yes she did; trout are biting really good right now.
Don’t know if you still haven’t caught one but you can go out in the kayak by kayak Amelia, just watch the video before this one where I go out with SlotCityFishing.
Launch and go left or hang around that launch area and you’ll catch trout on those white gulp swimming mullet.
You made a nice video for 2020
Thank you
Yall had a pretty good day I see
Well someone did haha 🎣
Man Katie can fish !
Yes she can 😄🎣
The second spot I've caught some nice trout and some flounder on outgoing tides
Where is it?
epic
Great video!…I which I could get my wife to go with me. Which bridge was that where so was killing the trout 😊?
That’s Simpson creek
Yep those boaters are annoying
when I was a kid my dad kept old sinkers throw at them no sense in driving your boat like an ass
I know this was 4yrs ago but do you remember if it was high or low tide…..incoming or outgoing?
The just recently finished re-doing a few bridges out that way. It’ll look different but good fishing on outgoing tides.
What's the size and bag limit on those trout?
As of today Not less than 15” or more than 19”
If on a vessel; may not posses more than 1 over 19”
Here in North East Florida we can keep 5 slot size sea trout
Stick with Katie and she'll learn you something 🤣
Sometimes she does out fish me.
Where exactly is this spot you caught the lady fish?
The bridge before Kayak Amelia
we fished there no bites though
Bummer. Keep trying cause others have caught there too.
Where is that second spot?
It’s all off Heckscher drive. It probably looks different now because all the construction they did and change some things in that 2nd spot
Awesome, get outdoors catch some fish, not going to catch any from the couch?
Studies have shown people that get out and fish catch more fish than people that don’t 🎣
GetOutTheHouseGoFish Beautiful!
what line do you usually use for fishing?
I use 12lb on my Baitcaster reels and up to 20lb on my spinning reels usually when inshore fishing
@@GetOutTheHouseGoFish braided line right?
@@GetOutTheHouseGoFish like power pro?
@@vovajobssmith3596 Yes PowerPro or J-Braid
Does heckscher drive have plenty of good spots ??
There are lots of spots to pull over and throw a line in at Heckscher 🎣👍
@@GetOutTheHouseGoFish alright thank you I just moved to Gainesville for a firefighting job and have been fishing cedar key alot but jax and st Augustine are equidistant to cedar key for me
Did you guys have to walk to the other bridge ?
We drove and parked on the side of the road. It’s different there now after the construction 🚧
@@GetOutTheHouseGoFish yeah I haven’t been out there in months have you tried fishing there again ?
@@dblocksou7350 not since they did all that construction. I think the other bridge will be better since there’s a walkway now and you can stand from that and fish now.
@@GetOutTheHouseGoFish sweet sweet thank you
It's such a shame the state just screwed those spots up so they can 4 lane A1A.
Tell me about it 🙁
Have the city finish rebuilding that bridge yet.. if so can you still fish there?
@@BlueSky-fr5yq construction is still going on in the area...
Is main st a good place to fish
That is a good spot too 🎣 trout hang around that area too
What part of main st is a good spot to fish new to Jacksonville fishing
R u doing any giveaways
I was doing a monthly giveaway last year (2019). I am putting some things together so it just won’t be as frequent at this time.
I dont even want the give away i just wanna go on a fishing trip
I guess there's gotta be a beeter way to release fish that just slinging it back like that.
In that spot not really unless it was into the grease but it was catch and release only that day 🎣
I didn't see any snook ?
Well it is about the only way sometimes unless you want to slip and ride the rocks into the water!
@@GetOutTheHouseGoFish LOL
My dad would have kept a rod with nothing but a lead on it to hit @$$hole boaters like that
Y'all don't eat trout?
Yes we eat trout but that day was a catch and release day.
@@GetOutTheHouseGoFish ohhh..ok that makes sense lol!
@@GetOutTheHouseGoFish Were all those within those slot limits? It looked like you may have had a few keeper and a few just short
@@blueskyforall4357 we weren’t keeping any that day…
