  • Swallowing disorders can be a big problem for people with Parkinson’s disease. Speech-language pathologist and swallowing disorders researcher Corinne Jones is working on ways to detect early changes to swallowing function in Parkinson’s disease, with the hopes that it will improve treatment, survival, and quality of life for the millions of people with the disease.
Corrine Jones, MS, CCC-SLP, is a PhD candidate at the University of Wisconsin-Madison with the Neuroscience Training Program and Department of Communication Sciences & Disorders. She is a licensed and certified speech-language pathologist with a specific focus in evaluation of swallowing disorders, and her research examines early, sub-clinical changes in voice and swallowing function in patients with Parkinson disease.

This girl should practice standing in one place while presenting. Her strolling up and down is a distraction. Interesting video though!
