Nothing to do with the Labour government, it doesn't matter who's in power, having worked in Government for the last 30 years every January is the same no matter who's in power. Councils and Government Departments always at this time of year slow everything down because they are checking their accounts ready for the end of the financial year. February, March and April will be hectic as those departments will have to spend there 2024 / 2025 budgets by the 1st of April.
Do you really think that an incoming government can be the cause. If so can I suggest you change your source of news and think more deeply if possible.
