quick question when the guys are tighting the scaffolding with the guns is there a regonised torque for the clamps i,m thinking when it gets signed off as safe what if one one of the clamp nuts were loose would love to know as I have seen guys with a swivel on a belt for this

We’re very busy again due to the recent storm that hit the UK. I’m up in Northumberland and it caused quite a bit of damage up here, mainly gutters and slates that have blown of the roof. They’re not massive jobs just towers all over the place but it’s graft and there’s plenty of it so I’m not complaining.

Another cracking video, Joe.Amazing how you think it is just another quieter mundane week,but to us, it is actually a very technical build round that factory. I just hope your ex employee gets on ok with the police. I never like to see guys get lost in life and into trouble.😔

36 episodes in, I'm a fully trained scaffolder now. Steven won't get me scaffolding poles to build lifts lol lol. How many episodes till I can add a scaffolder to my CV LOL JOKING can we have 2 episodes a week minimum. I count down till 6 on a Thursday man lol

Joe, it sounds like knife crime. Your boy might not be directly involved though, joint enterprise is a bitch. A friend of a friend is doing 8 years at the moment for kicking a bin. Some people sad as it is have to play the hand they’re dealt and it’s a real sh@tty hand. My heart goes out to them all as well as the victim. For some there’s no escape and that’s an indictment on modern day society and it’s values.

Fair play on that met call still saying he’s actually a good lad. Sometimes people can get done a wrongen in with the wrong people. Accountability is everything of course but sometimes it’s not as simple as that. Great work as always

Isn’t it strange that the harder you work, the luckier you get! You deserve all the success you get. It looks as though you’re going to be flat out very soon. Looking forward to seeing what happens. On a serious note, the level of violence is increasing among young men, is it because of the lack of opportunities they have or a decrease in accountability for their actions? I’m old now and don’t want to sound like an old fogey but there was much more discipline and accountability when I was young which kept you on the straight and narrow. Sorry for the mini rant but it’s something I feel strongly about.

Another great video again, some interesting insights into your work,and he hard work and decisions the lads make on site, and for some lads an ideal workplace/space for them to channel their energies, perhaps a video segment on what you look for in a scaffolder, both experienced and a newbie, oh and you seem to be doing ok for yourself a triple ink biro in the end talkie bit.
