when you go to a restaurant and order a burger it doesn't come as just the patty. They don't sell a burger as a whole thing because that would be silly
@@Vermontious the specific definition of a burger is thus. “a round patty of a savory ingredient, typically ground beef.” From this we can gather that in order for a burger to be a burger it bust be a round patty firstly. And lastly it must be a savory meat. Thus a chicken burger must have a round patty consisting of a more savory cut of chicken. A chicken sandwich by this definition would me the breast of chicken on a sandwich.
Alright so all burgers are sandwiches. Not all sandwiches are burgers. When you say burger it is widely accept to entail a savory ingredient patty between two pieces of bread. Condiments may be add to your hearts desire. While a sandwich is the same but with any type of meat not in a patty. Thus a chicken burger would be a patty. While a chicken sandwich would have the breast.
Idk man I agree with Fury, but the overall consensus is that a “chicken burger” is really just a chicken sandwich. UNLESS you’re using just the bread to classify it being a sandwich or a burger. then when the bread is changed to a bun or what you call a “roll” it becomes a burger. Which I still believe is a Chicken sandwich..
Burger comes from a hamburg steak put into a bun. A hamburg steak is beef that is ground and pressed together and cooked. If your meat isn't ground, it becomes a steak sandwich.
Where do Pannini's fall into the equation tho?
That's a pressed sandwich
Burger is just the patty. When you go to thr supermarket and buy burgers, you aren't buying the entire package
