Halo died peacefully with Reach, surrounded by loved ones. Then M$ decided to tear the corpse from its grave, and tried to parade the corpse around as if it still held life. We're in a culture war today, where modern creatives and writers desire to push everything in the direction of Wokeness, they either truly believe that's the way forward and is "Progressive" for Society as a whole; OR, these studios and big, greedy companies just see it as they think there's $$$$$ to be made, IF EVERY Creative and Company is Forced to go down the DEI route. Agreed, and in my mind that has always been the canon event. Everything else that has come out with the Halo name have only been cash grabs and failed attempts to rekindle the flame that the franchise had back when the developers from Bungie were at the helm.
Halo multiplayer was dead after 3. Reach fell off immediately and couldn’t compete with CoD. Halo 4 felt more like the original trilogy than Reach. Infinite was a great start but wish they would’ve kept the campaign momentum up with DLC. Multiplayer is also best since 3. In the current era I’d rather play Infinite than the old games.
I love Reach since it's the game I played the most of and was the most memorable part of my childhood. That said though, it's a spin off and didn't carry all that much forward of the original Halo formula. All my older friends bounced off it like crazy when it came out and went back to Halo 3 which they considered far superior before eventually tiring of it and moving on with their lives. I was 10 when it came out and grew to love it for what it was, but I saw first hand that the division it caused really was a precursor for what was to come for the next decade. Even if you look at the sales of Halo it was all up before peaking at Halo 3. Reach was devastatingly for the momentum of the series, but is my favorite Halo.
I just went back to MCC, man. You can’t beat those classic Bungie Halo games. I’m currently replaying CE and working my way up to Halo 3 and the Reach. It’s just something about those games, you know
Make sure to try the mods dude. SPV3, Halo revolved, halo rebalanced, halo 2 uncut, halo 2 with sprinkles, ultimate firefight mod, the halo mythic overhaul. Each of these can be found on the workshop, besides Halo SPV3. That has it's own installer and you MUST PLAY THAT.
I just finished the mcc, playing halo for the first time ever and i loved ce and 2 so much, everything else was kinda disappointing, both story and gameplaywise

At this point, Microsoft needs to just give licenses to studios to make different spin-off games. Games about ODSTs, other Spartans, and other stories in Halo. Eventually, come back to master chief. I'd gladly take a partial story reboot where they just erase everything 343 did to the main story.
The biggest thing for me was when they hyped up the Cortana taking over the mantle as this big ass problem, she was like a AI goddess, all to just scrap the story and she got easily defeated, the halo story was the core for me , and when the story is weak/stupid/and dull there’s no point in playing, and it’s a f**k you to the franchise
Halo mods are what have been keeping halo alive. US THE COMMUNITY.... We are the ones that have to keep picking up the torch time and time again. We are the ones who have to handle each fuk up by 343 and microsoft. If it were not for the die hard halo community, halo would have fallen long ago! Keep playing MCC and convince 343 to add more content to that. If you want some real halo action, I suggest you get some friends and play those mods! Bungie wasn't "dragged" away from halo, they happily left after their tenure with the franchise expired in 2010. The only reason ODST and reach were made was apart of a contract with Microsoft. Those games weren't born out of bungie willfully, they we forced.

Mods on the MCC are the future for Halo and as sad as it is to say, I’m ok with that. Some of the mods I’ve seen and played have been more fun than any of the slop we’ve gotten from 343 in the past 14 years.
Guess I can't judge someone's love for Halo 5 when Reach is so often cited as so many fan's favorites...and Reach is when things went south for me But if I'd argue Reach was Bungie stumbling out the door, most of us feel we've yet to see 343 really ever find its footing We watched our military/sci-fi become more like fantasy/sci-fi, had changes to the lore we grew up with, and the last three games just don't feel like one, continuous story but 343 just not knowing what they wanted to do. The TV series just felt like getting backhanded after Infinite, at least presented, was supposed to be some 'return to form'...and then it just stagnated

On top of that, corporate values have shifted dramatically over the past decade infecting everything. Two dudes from respawn started off at EA making Medal of Honor, COD the Titanfall and now Respawn not only made Titanfall ( the only good franchise imo) but Apex and Star Wars. While most fans want TF3… they gotta wait out in the cold. Star Wars wasn’t bad . It was like when Visceral made Dante’s Inferno, Army Of Two: DC. They are good. But like in all cases nowadays they are forced to make skmethinn WAY outside their comfort zone and expertise on a limited budget and time frame. Happened with BioWare Montreal (the guys behind Mass Effect 3 online) and Mass Effect Andromeda and then Anthem (they abandoned MEA even after all their promises. And then lol what happened to Anthem s development: fake gamers and voiceovers, bad development and conditions, and they lied about Anthem 2.0 yet still sell it). Same with Dice/Danger Close and MOH Reboot. And then you have Criterion who made “Black” going and making Need For Speed games and vehicles in Battlefield and Battlefront. That’s the issue: yo I have passionate vet devs who either leave or are forced out working with such constraints and then on top of all that working with millennials and the higher ups wanna put “THE MESSAGE” Politics in their game. Bro me and my dad where playing halo the second I could hold the controller (much to my mothers dismay) I’m an 03 baby so do the math. I was 4-5 playing at family land patty’s. Never felt like our game was so cooked. I’ve payed every single game and I love all the spin-offs I played halo 5 longer than I played halo infinite. I have maybe three hundred hours in infinite and like 800 in halo 5 and I think a large part of why that is was there was no progression and no drip there wasn’t shit to do in infinite however have money and you can progress to have more drip. Did literally everything I could do to like the game and I payed so much just to feel like I was earning something in game. Fuck I’m so disappointed.
The only thing good about Halo 5 was the firefight mode. EVERYTHING else was garbage. Halo infinite was worse as only the art style was good. Halo 2 was the best for me in overall terms. Then REACH and CE are tied and ODST and Halo 3 (the cortana gravemind interruptions ruined the story and the flood pure-forms ruined the combat balance as bullet sponges)

Well im still not done doing things bery many players havent. I brought vehicles places i havent heard others say they have done, i have foguht thru many levels with just my bare hands, using only the melee. Unlike avp 2010, they coulsnt block. And ive always been faster. .. i used to beat pairs if hujters to death and charge into groups of elites... I even kearned to react to olasma attacks as they were fired, twisting and ducking and jumping around any shot i could see moving theu the air, even predicring and dosging olayers with the sniper rifle... Elites became predictable, brutes became possible to run from, and so short of drones and hunters i wasnt going to be slowed down for long. Even the flood were easy prey, and i have driven most vehicles on top if scarabs. I rode a chooper thru halo threes base after the sacrab fight in the ark, where the brute chieftain waits to fight you... I got iff my chopper and beat him down with a bruteshot... And then i took on his pack. On ledgendary. With iron on. I did it from start to finish without dying. Alone. And when i wasnt alone, i had my brother, whi could match me in every way, who copied my skills... Who really did move with me, as a team... As if we were linked at the brain. The way soartans can feel each ither thru theur suits. Ive felt the way time slows when you need to win, and how actions do themselves by relfex. Trail and error, conflict, and victory. None stood against me I moved to other games. I moved to mount and blade. I discovered a game that had similar footwork skill and improved my directional response and awareness. I became the best xbow had in mount and blade warband. All because of how hard i oushed in halo. All because the covenant were filthy aliens that i couldnt differ from the ones i was used to And because i channeled the love and hatred for the xenomorph, my first love, i slaughtered the enemy aliens as if they could spread, as if every one had to be destroyed... I had to protect humanity from the daroness, once again. And so i did
And in fighting as many enemy aliens as I had, I have now begun to see ice gotta make my own thing. If the first crossover of alien or AVP and halo isn't ever coming officially then I may as well achieve my childhood dream of seeing such by making some modded fun... I even made characters, I even came up with new enemy types... I even ran the crossover universe lore possibilities... I poured my love into these franchises, Im not going to let they slide into the trash All because I could see myself wearing that suit, holding those weapons... In the jaws of death, fighting hard... A good death, or a great life of battle and victory. The very thing I hold dear in real life in a way, what I'd dream for. To the point where I'd fight armies with enough practice... When you can compare how easy it is to get behind someone in Mount and Blade to getting behind and elite as they kick at you, you know you have mastered the art of the read, and you are worthy of the title: Hyperlethal Vector. My late father showed me many things. Star wars is one, he said: look son, those are stormtroopers" but he also played halo, and he played some alien games back in the day like Sega Genesis. He seen AVP come out idk if he tried it. He died not long after in 2011, reach would have been fresh. He finished the fight, he passed the gravity hammer down to me. And then I met my half brother and mom, and he became my partner. When I knew loss, he was there. I fought to protect him, his honor and our legacy. I thought it was lost once, but we are both still here, damaged but recovering... The spark can yet return, the flame that made youth bright can be reignited in me. But also, when halo need love, so does one who walked before halo could run... Who gave us the image that became Johnson our lead marine, from apone in aliens played by Al Mathews, a real life marine Sargeant, the first African American to reach his rank I believe. We got the flood as a dangerous threat capable of spreading and infecting, from the creepy alien hive we also get dead space from this. We got so much unique things in halo but so much inspired from the one and only alien. Structural perfection at its best. So since I can see a world with both of them, predator too, why not bring it to life? Playable modded stuff is the idea. I will need many sets of hands, I will be working for a few years.... But it's doable
For years I was the only one in my friend group that consistently kept playing Halo. Halo Infinite comes out and it's in such a bad state for so long that not even I play it anymore. Which is a damn shame because the sandbox is great. Upper management seemingly had no idea how to manage. The Halo Show just wasn't Halo. I might have enjoyed it been a Halo inspired show. Or had it been a live action adaptation of the books it would have been much better. Last good thing to happen to the franchise was Halo Wars 2: Awakening the Nightmare and that was 7 years ago.
Yes!!!! I agree. I grew up playing Nintendo mostly, but I always looked forward to visiting my family and friends who had halo. It was a big part of my childhood. Halo may not have been my first game ever, but it is my number 1 game franchise from halo ce all the way to 4. Never got to try the fifth game cause my family never had much. But always loved halo. Once I became an adult and started delving into the halo community was when I started to see 343 slowly ruin our beloved Halo franchise.

I despise 343 but I have to admit that the multiplayer of Infinite is fun. The really did a good job with the gunplay and most of the maps are fun + the brought back some og maps. Too bad everthing else this team touches turns to shit.
I was 9 when Halo 1 came out and I agree with every word you said here (including 5 being the best). Halo is the most disrespected and fumbled franchise in the industry. The potential for the IP is matched only by the likes of Star Wars. Microsoft is fully responsible, yet we as fans are left to watch the corpse of Halo rot without even a proper burial.
For the Halo remake, You said it makes sense because where does this franchise go from here? I'll tell you.. as someone who was 7 years old when Halo CE came out. First of all, 343 needs Halo IP REMOVED from its hands. No remake or new Halo game should ever be made with 343i involved in any way. They were the problem since 2012 and always will be. Idgaf what their shills have to say, it's the truth. Secondly, Halo 1-3 doesn't need a reboot... Halo 4-6 DOES! (Again not by 343, pick another company like Bethesda or ID or something), and Read this big comment carefully i just threw this together within a few minutes to reboot Halo 4-6 So in a proper reboot... Halo 4 instead picks up where Halo 3 left off, on earth! Where after Halo 3, humanity is trying to rebuild after almost going extinct... it's 4 years later after Halo 3, but we learn the threat of the Banished (yes we're keeping the idea of the Banished because its one of the only good things 343 came up with) so the Banished is growing rapidly around the galaxy after the fall of the covenant and is trying to repurpose forerunner worlds/halo rings and old covenant tech to become the new galactic wide empire in charge which ultimately puts them at odds with Earth... Which ultimately leads the Banished to be at odds with the elites as well, all the while humanity & the elites learns that the alien race of Prophets themselves, are forming their own military fleets of purely warrior class Prophets in the shadows of this new conflict they are watching unfold between elites(with their grunt and Hunter allies) and humans against the Banished. Thel sends shipmaster and his tiny fleet to hunt these Prophets throughout the galaxy who learns the Prophet warriors are already growing their forces rapidly around the galaxy on forerunner worlds(spin off games). This all leads to us playing mostly as Arbiter in Halo 4 with Battles that take us on earth, his homeworld and onto other Halo rings, etc, but the stakes are getting too high too fast, which then leads to Halo 5 where the Arbiter knows Chief is still out there SO HE takes a huge portion of his ships of elites hunters and grunts, followed by some UNSC pillar of autumn style ship allies with a Spartan team on board ( whatever surviving Spartan 2s reforming a new team-use your imagination here of who they could be) , all to find and rescue Chief to stand a chance against the Banished, but in their search and battles..it leads them back to the Ark where they finally find Chief again, you get to play as chief again halfway through Halo 5 but also the game stumbles upon the Spirit of Fire near the Ark close to the end of Halo 5. After Halo 5, Halo wars 2 happens as usual for the most part (but remember no elites in my version the Banished instead replaced by jackal pirates and Skirmishers) and in this Halo Wars 2 the Arbiter and the small UNSC forces and now a rescued Chief united with the other Spartan 2s are there to support & bring the Spirit of Fire up to speed on the rest of the galaxy events, at the end of Halo Wars 2 we see Arbiter with his forces and Chief with most of the UNSC leave the Ark in pursuit of a heavily armed Banished fleet but Spirit of Fire stays behind to finish off the remaining Banished on the Ark to secure it which leads to Halo 6 with the large Banished fleet stop on Zeta Halo finding already large forces of Prophet Warriors trying to dominate the ring, where a new huge battle on the Ring (similar to Halo 2) takes place throughout the game where the Banished accidently release the flood and sentinels go berserk on all sides where at the end of Halo 6, instead of the end being about some stupid "endless" now it's about how Chief and Arbiter learn that the Flood is still alive in its most intelligent keymind form for many many centuries OUTSIDE the galaxy and is slowly building/ swarming a massive fleet to invade their galaxy with... Halo 6 ends... Edit: (Some keynotes- again no elites in the Banished, instead various Banished Jackals and Skirmishers have elite style energy shields and even use stolen elite swords. Arbiter and his elites look like CE/Wars2/nfinite elites and move around how the elites did in Halo CE with all the ranks from Halo 2 elites. No Spartan 4s in this reboot, instead some more Spartan 3s are made and all Spartan 3s are seen defending Earth, whatever surviving Spartan 2s accompany Arbiter later in his mission to Rescue Chief. Gameplay Movement is like that of Halo 3, with playing as Arbiter having a bit more speed to your walk like a CE elite has, where playing in co op and seeing your friend play as Arbiter or as an elite still retains the silhouette and movement of a CE elite.) voilà i fixed the franchise!
While I didn’t care for the show too much I just hate having things start and not finished. I even felt that way with Resident Evil. I’m craving decent media so much. And the sad thing is is we won’t get a new thing for years now. I even felt that way with Star Trek Discovery… S4 was better than the last season imp. Strange New Worlds was terrible. If they follow suit… they’ll leave off on a cliffhanger and then start off completely ignoring it…
Sorry to say but anybody who likes 4 and 5 are not classic halo fans, halo 4 is the worst in the franchise next to 5 and infinite, halo 4 basically removed all viable strategy’s against enemies, you couldn’t get close with a shot gun anymore because you open yourself up to instant melee deaths, so halo 4 is a shoot from afar kind of game and that just removes so much fun from the experience. All guns have pathetic amount of ammo and some of the most useless grenades I’ve ever seen, the knights are frustrating and unfair to fight and are complemented by the watchers who are beyond annoying because they can shield and throw back your own grenades. Ever since halo 4 they have dropped the ball every single time and I have no faith in 343 as long as they hold the mantle of responsibility because their inability to safeguard halo was a colossal failure

Last I played infinite it was so BAD. So laggy… so fully of sweats it was like playn COD… I’m also mad all the cosmetics I want are labeled: “Currently Unavailable, Please Check Back Later”. (Basically all the Samurai style ones).

If it dies, why did it still get support? What defines a dead game is when the game literally has no support, the ppl have jump ship and no updates. I mean just look at Marvel's Avengers. That game is literally dead. No updates, no new content, nothing. Its abandoned. Then again, its the Halo community, they'll say everything dies. I saw the thumbnail and didn’t watch the whole video(I’m on a quick break at work). I just wanted to stop and leave a comment. I’ve been of the mindset that halo is dead the moment Bungie gave the rights to 343 and stopped working on the series. I ga e 343 a chance but I haven’t bought a halo title after halo 4(other than the MCC because in my mind that is the truest form of the series). It felt like 343 was trying to “Call Of Duty-ify” Halo and it just didn’t feel like the same series anymore. I will admit, the visual change also pushed me away because I saw halo as the series that was beautiful through its simplicity and then 343 decided everything needed unnecessary levels of detail and polygons.
Halon5 had the worst story. But low key I did not kind the new ADS feature and the sick ass weapon variants. Only thing I didn't like about H5 MP was no playable elites tbh
Gameplay is way better in 5 than Reach, 5 has the best gameplay out of all the sprint Halo’s. Go back and play Reach and you see how much the armor abilities slow down gameplay, 343 deciding to just incorporate Spartan abilities in the actual suit instead of separating them was genius. Everyone was on the same level and you couldn’t cheap out using a jetpack or shit like that. It also felt so good to play
I agree that 343 games are mediocre on a lot of subject... but I also feel that the Halo Comunity have nothing to offers beside doing this type of video over and over again. christopher nolan is attempting to buy the movie rights paramount. also hating on halo has gotten to nickelback levels of shit talk. its honestly bs by this point. halo infinite multiplayer has been more than playable and doesn't have as many cracked out greasers running lobbies. its been great for casual play maybe its because so many people fell off; but either case its been fun to play again while still be competitive.
Never watched the tv series, thought the trailer looked awesome but then when I heard they were dicking around with the lore, and them early rumors that he actually takes his helmet off I was like - "HELL NO!!!" Glad I never watched the POS series and I'm glad it got cancelled. That said, it's really such a shame, i mean it's sad really regards the cynical direction they took with the tv series, because that could have actually truly SAVED the *Halo* franchise. I don't know why I'm so angry about a silly video game but I hate halo 4 and halo 5, but I really enjoy halo infinites multiplayer and the campaign was alright, and coop campaign is wacky and fun. Like, can't bro just swallow his pride and enjoy halo infinite for what it is now, sure it wasn't great at launch but it's so much better now. Bro the game went SO in depth for the Chief's character and tried an entire newopen world genre with a ton of cool af new mechanics. I'm a halo fan, and genuinely what's not to like with Infinite besides updated mechanics?
I would argue the game didn't go much into chief's character at all and barely added any new mechanics beyond a grappling hook that the game wasn't really tuned for. Its campaign is extremely dry and repetitive. Its effectively the 2nd level of CE stretched for the whole duration, with a ton of exposition about what happened before, and someone trying to make us care about a faction with the over used name of 'endless'. What once was a space opera is now someone random roaming around a nature preserve. Infinite tried new things mechanically and failed. And it played it extremely safe narratively and failed.
@@Janx14 the only game I haven't played is 5 (pc only) and his character is explored more than in any other game. 4 did try to go into his character but it didn't manage as much as infinite. The location is kinda repetitive, sure, but I'm fine with that for the most part. It's a shame but it's not that different from 4. A samey location isn't always a bad thing, look at ODST. I really liked the feel of the new mechanics, the hook is fun and the overall game feel is different to the original trilogy but I'm not married to a game feel that's over two decades old
4* games. Three of which all told poor, incomplete stories ending with cliffhangers. Then, to only be "concluded" off screen. If you dig hard enough, sure, you can find something in each 343 game that was good, but the bad far outweighs it.

Agreed, and in my mind that has always been the canon event. Everything else that has come out with the Halo name have only been cash grabs and failed attempts to rekindle the flame that the franchise had back when the developers from Bungie were at the helm.
Halo multiplayer was dead after 3. Reach fell off immediately and couldn’t compete with CoD.
Halo 4 felt more like the original trilogy than Reach. Infinite was a great start but wish they would’ve kept the campaign momentum up with DLC.
Multiplayer is also best since 3. In the current era I’d rather play Infinite than the old games.
MCC has been a huge net-positive for fans.
Being able to play any Halo game at any time on Xbox or PC has been awesome.

I love Reach since it's the game I played the most of and was the most memorable part of my childhood. That said though, it's a spin off and didn't carry all that much forward of the original Halo formula. All my older friends bounced off it like crazy when it came out and went back to Halo 3 which they considered far superior before eventually tiring of it and moving on with their lives. I was 10 when it came out and grew to love it for what it was, but I saw first hand that the division it caused really was a precursor for what was to come for the next decade.
Even if you look at the sales of Halo it was all up before peaking at Halo 3. Reach was devastatingly for the momentum of the series, but is my favorite Halo.
I just went back to MCC, man. You can’t beat those classic Bungie Halo games. I’m currently replaying CE and working my way up to Halo 3 and the Reach. It’s just something about those games, you know
Make sure to try the mods dude. SPV3, Halo revolved, halo rebalanced, halo 2 uncut, halo 2 with sprinkles, ultimate firefight mod, the halo mythic overhaul. Each of these can be found on the workshop, besides Halo SPV3. That has it's own installer and you MUST PLAY THAT.

Bungie wasn't "dragged" away from halo, they happily left after their tenure with the franchise expired in 2010. The only reason ODST and reach were made was apart of a contract with Microsoft. Those games weren't born out of bungie willfully, they we forced.

Mods on the MCC are the future for Halo and as sad as it is to say, I’m ok with that. Some of the mods I’ve seen and played have been more fun than any of the slop we’ve gotten from 343 in the past 14 years.

We watched our military/sci-fi become more like fantasy/sci-fi, had changes to the lore we grew up with, and the last three games just don't feel like one, continuous story but 343 just not knowing what they wanted to do. The TV series just felt like getting backhanded after Infinite, at least presented, was supposed to be some 'return to form'...and then it just stagnated

Halo in general AS OF LATE has suffered bc Microsoft has put most of their attention into this Blizzard-Activision Merger/Acquisition Deal. While also firing nearly everyone. And shutting down the only mobile game they owned that was actually making money (Mighty Doom / Bethesda Games).
You cannot tell me that deal, fighting with Sony and all that hasn’t hindered them in ANY way.
And yes: Bungie understood Halo. So much so they know the type of music you’d wanna hear. From the Orchestra to Breaking Benjamin (I live like 30 mins from them).
Clearly bungie forsnt understand Destiny. All the Halo fans I know hate that game. And all the Destiny fans I know either hate Halo or are…umm; “meh”. A lot hate it bc they think it looks too much like halo (tbh I think it looks like a Halo, H Divers (YT Friendly Terminology) Esq combo… maybe even a bit of Warhawk. Some suits and characters look like Spartan suits and most look like WoW/Overwatch characters if they ventured away from that art style.
Then again that’s every dev nowadays. R6 Patriots became Siege. Two dudes from respawn started off at EA making Medal of Honor, COD the Titanfall and now Respawn not only made Titanfall ( the only good franchise imo) but Apex and Star Wars. While most fans want TF3… they gotta wait out in the cold. Star Wars wasn’t bad . It was like when Visceral made Dante’s Inferno, Army Of Two: DC. They are good. But like in all cases nowadays they are forced to make skmethinn WAY outside their comfort zone and expertise on a limited budget and time frame.
Happened with BioWare Montreal (the guys behind Mass Effect 3 online) and Mass Effect Andromeda and then Anthem (they abandoned MEA even after all their promises. And then lol what happened to Anthem s development: fake gamers and voiceovers, bad development and conditions, and they lied about Anthem 2.0 yet still sell it).
Same with Dice/Danger Close and MOH Reboot.
And then you have Criterion who made “Black” going and making Need For Speed games and vehicles in Battlefield and Battlefront.

Never felt like our game was so cooked. I’ve payed every single game and I love all the spin-offs I played halo 5 longer than I played halo infinite.
I have maybe three hundred hours in infinite and like 800 in halo 5 and I think a large part of why that is was there was no progression and no drip there wasn’t shit to do in infinite however have money and you can progress to have more drip.
Did literally everything I could do to like the game and I payed so much just to feel like I was earning something in game. Fuck I’m so disappointed.
The only thing good about Halo 5 was the firefight mode. EVERYTHING else was garbage. Halo infinite was worse as only the art style was good. Halo 2 was the best for me in overall terms. Then REACH and CE are tied and ODST and Halo 3 (the cortana gravemind interruptions ruined the story and the flood pure-forms ruined the combat balance as bullet sponges)

Well im still not done doing things bery many players havent. I brought vehicles places i havent heard others say they have done, i have foguht thru many levels with just my bare hands, using only the melee. Unlike avp 2010, they coulsnt block. And ive always been faster. .. i used to beat pairs if hujters to death and charge into groups of elites... I even kearned to react to olasma attacks as they were fired, twisting and ducking and jumping around any shot i could see moving theu the air, even predicring and dosging olayers with the sniper rifle... Elites became predictable, brutes became possible to run from, and so short of drones and hunters i wasnt going to be slowed down for long.
Even the flood were easy prey, and i have driven most vehicles on top if scarabs. I rode a chooper thru halo threes base after the sacrab fight in the ark, where the brute chieftain waits to fight you... I got iff my chopper and beat him down with a bruteshot... And then i took on his pack. On ledgendary. With iron on. I did it from start to finish without dying. Alone. And when i wasnt alone, i had my brother, whi could match me in every way, who copied my skills... Who really did move with me, as a team... As if we were linked at the brain. The way soartans can feel each ither thru theur suits. Ive felt the way time slows when you need to win, and how actions do themselves by relfex. Trail and error, conflict, and victory. None stood against me
I moved to other games. I moved to mount and blade. I discovered a game that had similar footwork skill and improved my directional response and awareness. I became the best xbow had in mount and blade warband. All because of how hard i oushed in halo.
All because the covenant were filthy aliens that i couldnt differ from the ones i was used to
And because i channeled the love and hatred for the xenomorph, my first love, i slaughtered the enemy aliens as if they could spread, as if every one had to be destroyed...
I had to protect humanity from the daroness, once again. And so i did
And in fighting as many enemy aliens as I had, I have now begun to see ice gotta make my own thing. If the first crossover of alien or AVP and halo isn't ever coming officially then I may as well achieve my childhood dream of seeing such by making some modded fun... I even made characters, I even came up with new enemy types... I even ran the crossover universe lore possibilities... I poured my love into these franchises, Im not going to let they slide into the trash
All because I could see myself wearing that suit, holding those weapons... In the jaws of death, fighting hard... A good death, or a great life of battle and victory. The very thing I hold dear in real life in a way, what I'd dream for. To the point where I'd fight armies with enough practice... When you can compare how easy it is to get behind someone in Mount and Blade to getting behind and elite as they kick at you, you know you have mastered the art of the read, and you are worthy of the title:

My late father showed me many things. Star wars is one, he said: look son, those are stormtroopers" but he also played halo, and he played some alien games back in the day like Sega Genesis. He seen AVP come out idk if he tried it. He died not long after in 2011, reach would have been fresh. He finished the fight, he passed the gravity hammer down to me. And then I met my half brother and mom, and he became my partner. When I knew loss, he was there. I fought to protect him, his honor and our legacy. I thought it was lost once, but we are both still here, damaged but recovering... The spark can yet return, the flame that made youth bright can be reignited in me. But also, when halo need love, so does one who walked before halo could run... Who gave us the image that became Johnson our lead marine, from apone in aliens played by Al Mathews, a real life marine Sargeant, the first African American to reach his rank I believe. We got the flood as a dangerous threat capable of spreading and infecting, from the creepy alien hive we also get dead space from this. We got so much unique things in halo but so much inspired from the one and only alien. Structural perfection at its best. So since I can see a world with both of them, predator too, why not bring it to life? Playable modded stuff is the idea. I will need many sets of hands, I will be working for a few years.... But it's doable
For years I was the only one in my friend group that consistently kept playing Halo. Halo Infinite comes out and it's in such a bad state for so long that not even I play it anymore. Which is a damn shame because the sandbox is great. Upper management seemingly had no idea how to manage.
The Halo Show just wasn't Halo. I might have enjoyed it been a Halo inspired show. Or had it been a live action adaptation of the books it would have been much better.

Halo may not have been my first game ever, but it is my number 1 game franchise from halo ce all the way to 4. Never got to try the fifth game cause my family never had much. But always loved halo. Once I became an adult and started delving into the halo community was when I started to see 343 slowly ruin our beloved Halo franchise.
They took a buried warrior of legend (Halo), dug him up, dismembed and defiled the corpse, robbed it of its valuables, and performed desecration of the burial site, like Trump said everything woke goes to $#!% 😢

I despise 343 but I have to admit that the multiplayer of Infinite is fun. The really did a good job with the gunplay and most of the maps are fun + the brought back some og maps. Too bad everthing else this team touches turns to shit.
I was 9 when Halo 1 came out and I agree with every word you said here (including 5 being the best). Halo is the most disrespected and fumbled franchise in the industry. The potential for the IP is matched only by the likes of Star Wars. Microsoft is fully responsible, yet we as fans are left to watch the corpse of Halo rot without even a proper burial.
For the Halo remake, You said it makes sense because where does this franchise go from here? I'll tell you.. as someone who was 7 years old when Halo CE came out.

So in a proper reboot... Halo 4 instead picks up where Halo 3 left off, on earth! Where after Halo 3, humanity is trying to rebuild after almost going extinct... it's 4 years later after Halo 3, but we learn the threat of the Banished (yes we're keeping the idea of the Banished because its one of the only good things 343 came up with) so the Banished is growing rapidly around the galaxy after the fall of the covenant and is trying to repurpose forerunner worlds/halo rings and old covenant tech to become the new galactic wide empire in charge which ultimately puts them at odds with Earth... Which ultimately leads the Banished to be at odds with the elites as well, all the while humanity & the elites learns that the alien race of Prophets themselves, are forming their own military fleets of purely warrior class Prophets in the shadows of this new conflict they are watching unfold between elites(with their grunt and Hunter allies) and humans against the Banished. Thel sends shipmaster and his tiny fleet to hunt these Prophets throughout the galaxy who learns the Prophet warriors are already growing their forces rapidly around the galaxy on forerunner worlds(spin off games). This all leads to us playing mostly as Arbiter in Halo 4 with Battles that take us on earth, his homeworld and onto other Halo rings, etc, but the stakes are getting too high too fast, which then leads to Halo 5 where the Arbiter knows Chief is still out there SO HE takes a huge portion of his ships of elites hunters and grunts, followed by some UNSC pillar of autumn style ship allies with a Spartan team on board ( whatever surviving Spartan 2s reforming a new team-use your imagination here of who they could be) , all to find and rescue Chief to stand a chance against the Banished, but in their search and battles..it leads them back to the Ark where they finally find Chief again, you get to play as chief again halfway through Halo 5 but also the game stumbles upon the Spirit of Fire near the Ark close to the end of Halo 5. After Halo 5,
Halo wars 2 happens as usual for the most part (but remember no elites in my version the Banished instead replaced by jackal pirates and Skirmishers) and in this Halo Wars 2 the Arbiter and the small UNSC forces and now a rescued Chief united with the other Spartan 2s are there to support & bring the Spirit of Fire up to speed on the rest of the galaxy events, at the end of Halo Wars 2 we see Arbiter with his forces and Chief with most of the UNSC leave the Ark in pursuit of a heavily armed Banished fleet but Spirit of Fire stays behind to finish off the remaining Banished on the Ark to secure it which leads to Halo 6 with the large Banished fleet stop on Zeta Halo finding already large forces of Prophet Warriors trying to dominate the ring, where a new huge battle on the Ring (similar to Halo 2) takes place throughout the game where the Banished accidently release the flood and sentinels go berserk on all sides where at the end of Halo 6, instead of the end being about some stupid "endless" now it's about how Chief and Arbiter learn that the Flood is still alive in its most intelligent keymind form for many many centuries OUTSIDE the galaxy and is slowly building/ swarming a massive fleet to invade their galaxy with... Halo 6 ends...
Edit: (Some keynotes- again no elites in the Banished, instead various Banished Jackals and Skirmishers have elite style energy shields and even use stolen elite swords. Arbiter and his elites look like CE/Wars2/nfinite elites and move around how the elites did in Halo CE with all the ranks from Halo 2 elites. No Spartan 4s in this reboot, instead some more Spartan 3s are made and all Spartan 3s are seen defending Earth, whatever surviving Spartan 2s accompany Arbiter later in his mission to Rescue Chief. Gameplay Movement is like that of Halo 3, with playing as Arbiter having a bit more speed to your walk like a CE elite has, where playing in co op and seeing your friend play as Arbiter or as an elite still retains the silhouette and movement of a CE elite.) voilà i fixed the franchise!
Its so over for Halo. It has never been this bad in the history of the franchise.

While I didn’t care for the show too much I just hate having things start and not finished. I even felt that way with Resident Evil.

Sorry to say but anybody who likes 4 and 5 are not classic halo fans, halo 4 is the worst in the franchise next to 5 and infinite, halo 4 basically removed all viable strategy’s against enemies, you couldn’t get close with a shot gun anymore because you open yourself up to instant melee deaths, so halo 4 is a shoot from afar kind of game and that just removes so much fun from the experience. All guns have pathetic amount of ammo and some of the most useless grenades I’ve ever seen, the knights are frustrating and unfair to fight and are complemented by the watchers who are beyond annoying because they can shield and throw back your own grenades. Ever since halo 4 they have dropped the ball every single time and I have no faith in 343 as long as they hold the mantle of responsibility because their inability to safeguard halo was a colossal failure

So i got the mcc, played through all games for the first time eve and honestly, Halo died with 3. 1 and 2 were so peak and i was really disappointed where 3 and reach took things, 4 was a nice change of pace but still boring.

I saw the thumbnail and didn’t watch the whole video(I’m on a quick break at work).
I just wanted to stop and leave a comment. I’ve been of the mindset that halo is dead the moment Bungie gave the rights to 343 and stopped working on the series. I ga e 343 a chance but I haven’t bought a halo title after halo 4(other than the MCC because in my mind that is the truest form of the series). It felt like 343 was trying to “Call Of Duty-ify” Halo and it just didn’t feel like the same series anymore. I will admit, the visual change also pushed me away because I saw halo as the series that was beautiful through its simplicity and then 343 decided everything needed unnecessary levels of detail and polygons.

Gameplay is way better in 5 than Reach, 5 has the best gameplay out of all the sprint Halo’s. Go back and play Reach and you see how much the armor abilities slow down gameplay, 343 deciding to just incorporate Spartan abilities in the actual suit instead of separating them was genius. Everyone was on the same level and you couldn’t cheap out using a jetpack or shit like that. It also felt so good to play

christopher nolan is attempting to buy the movie rights paramount. also hating on halo has gotten to nickelback levels of shit talk. its honestly bs by this point. halo infinite multiplayer has been more than playable and doesn't have as many cracked out greasers running lobbies. its been great for casual play maybe its because so many people fell off; but either case its been fun to play again while still be competitive.
Never watched the tv series, thought the trailer looked awesome but then when I heard they were dicking around with the lore, and them early rumors that he actually takes his helmet off I was like - "HELL NO!!!" Glad I never watched the POS series and I'm glad it got cancelled.
That said, it's really such a shame, i mean it's sad really regards the cynical direction they took with the tv series, because that could have actually truly SAVED the *Halo* franchise.

It pisses me off sooo much, that you love halo 5 but don't like halo infinite..... I don't know why I'm so angry about a silly video game but I hate halo 4 and halo 5, but I really enjoy halo infinites multiplayer and the campaign was alright, and coop campaign is wacky and fun. Like, can't bro just swallow his pride and enjoy halo infinite for what it is now, sure it wasn't great at launch but it's so much better now.

I'm a halo fan, and genuinely what's not to like with Infinite besides updated mechanics?
I would argue the game didn't go much into chief's character at all and barely added any new mechanics beyond a grappling hook that the game wasn't really tuned for.
Its campaign is extremely dry and repetitive. Its effectively the 2nd level of CE stretched for the whole duration, with a ton of exposition about what happened before, and someone trying to make us care about a faction with the over used name of 'endless'. What once was a space opera is now someone random roaming around a nature preserve.
Infinite tried new things mechanically and failed. And it played it extremely safe narratively and failed.
At least you're one of the ppl not blindly hating a game here
@@Janx14 the only game I haven't played is 5 (pc only) and his character is explored more than in any other game. 4 did try to go into his character but it didn't manage as much as infinite.
The location is kinda repetitive, sure, but I'm fine with that for the most part. It's a shame but it's not that different from 4. A samey location isn't always a bad thing, look at ODST.
I really liked the feel of the new mechanics, the hook is fun and the overall game feel is different to the original trilogy but I'm not married to a game feel that's over two decades old

If you dig hard enough, sure, you can find something in each 343 game that was good, but the bad far outweighs it.
