I've been driving this car for over 1 week now (Dealer Loaner). It looks good on the inside and outside, it's smooth smooth smooth in driving. This is not a race car. This is a very very comfortable way to get from Point A to B. Very nice commuter car.
I had the same experience with the dealer back in 1995, test driving the new 1995 LS400. The dealer shocked us with all the knowledge and what this car had to offer at $60,000 price. This stuck with me, and that's why I only drive Lexus cars ever since.
Love the reviewer, Sam has an amazingly endearing, personal way of presentation. No doubt this is a great channel which continues the fast losing art of pleasing, decent and no-nonsense human communication where we treat our audience as our interlocutors and with due respect. Thank you for all great work. Keep it up. and yes - great review.
In the lexus line up? Price and Size value. I'm guessing you don't know anything about the ES? Go to rival dealerships, set the front seat to your driving position and sit in the back. Then go and do the same with this car and you'll understand why. This car is MASSIVE for it's price.
Chris Sorreda Compared to Cadenza and it's competitors, this is much better, this has much better premium interior and much better exterior looks. And this is a better car for this price, it's value won't depreciate like others. This is one beauty lexus.
I really liked your story about your treatment by the Lexus dealer when you were in college. I wish car dealers would treat all customers this way. Unfortunately I think half of car sales are the result of high pressure sales and the industry as a whole can't afford to treat potential customers with respect.
Fantastic review, it made me a subscriber, your smooth, detailed presentation paired with your soothing voice makes the whole presentation terrific, I'm trading my 2015 RX 350F. for this beauty, the RX 350 is good, but the mpg is killing me, so I'm definitely getting this certified.
Neil Lund I hear you. I was going to buy a Rolls Royce Phantom, but I ended up grabbing a used Pontiac Aztec while I wait for the 2035 Phantom redesign.
I have a crappy commute and I've been looking for something to replace the Corolla my wife and I have been carpooling together in. The traffic is a combo of stop and go and highway speeds, so this seems like it might hit the spot.
It's the only Lexus out of the fleet that is FWD. Also, sadly there is no AFS in 2016. ME versions are noticeably different from the US ones, for example, Exteriors, the back bumper in the 3.5 V6, its sporty in US model, however it's like the hybrid in ME model. Also, in ME the door moldings are a standard. In interiors, more wood finishing in the ME model specially in the back seats A/C vents. In safety, smart front passenger SRS in US, not in ME, but back fog lights in ME and not in US. In technology, voice commands in US, but in ME it's only for phone contacts, also no app suites. Lexus should do more efforts in unifying the quality and giving a better meaning to their badge.
The base version is ADEQUATE, and not terrible, but the ML (Mark Levinson) version is one the BEST that I’ve ever heard - and I’ve heard several thousand systems in my thirty years in the business! The only other SPECTACULAR car audio system is designed by Bowers & Wilkins (available in several other very high-end luxury vehicles) for several thousand more dollars. Both are nothing short of shockingly good. But neither are cheap, for obvious reasons, of course.
No, not in this model, unfortunately. However, They DO exist on higher models such as the LS and several others but they are ALL quite a bit more money.
I ha e this. It's a great car though having an issue with the maintenance light coming on. I think it has to do with the remote though, so either just needs a new battery or may need to take it to the dealer to get it checked. Economy mode is good but only if going 30mph or less. No power unless in sport mode for freeway and going up hills
My grandparents bought this car and theirs has real leather and wood. Unfortunately the plastics feel kinda scratchy and American in the car though. But i love the ride quality, handling, and comfort.
It has an older feel compared to the other Lexus sedans, but I think it's because of the 17 inch wheels. But if you were to change that to 18 or 19 inch wheels it would definitely look better.
If you are under 30 years old DON'T BUY IT, I repeat DON'Y BUY IT. It's extremely boring car, it's just a car on 4 wheels The new facelift looks modern but it's still a boring car
@@danielregalado1778 I wrote this comment 4 years ago and I still agree with it. The more I grow up the more I prefer buying cool cars over luxury boring cars. I'm 35 and I own a lifted Sierra truck, Corvette and GSX-R 1000. I might be interested in luxury cars when I'm over 45

I liked the story about you as a college boy in a Lecus dealership and the way they treated you!
Straight to the point review! Always appreciated.

A real gem in the Lexus line up. Aiming to buy this when i grow up.

Customer support.

Can't wait to buy this car. Working full speed ahead. Thanks for doing the review!
Neil Lund did you buy it yet?
Smooth Operator Nope, ended up grabbing a Camry Hybrid for cheap while I wait for a Model 3 and the rumored plug in or fully electric ES.

+jay syed --Duh-really? You figured that out by your self did you?
Glen W. Ford --yes-really, Sounds like you have a AWD civic.
No-not the AWD. We don`t have snow.
I have the same and agree, it sucks in snow.
There is no AWD Civic.

Great review.
How is the Cabin sound from Road?
Thank you 👍
The cabin is not as quiet as i thought it would be. But of course, it could be because of how the mic is mounted
its way quieter, Ive driven one before and just rode in one today.
Nelson-drive one. Then post a comment genius.
this is so nice
does this car come with power trunk
ossie keiler yes
Yes, and it’s super smooth. Both up and down have power options - or a manual option. Your choice. Totally silent and work perfectly.
Navigation still not wide screen but square.

Is the side mirrors power folded?
No, not in this model, unfortunately. However, They DO exist on higher models such as the LS and several others but they are ALL quite a bit more money.
u did great !
So es 300h and 350 interior differences? Non? Just cargo space less?
Way better MPGs to don't forget that part 😂

Does it have real or faux leather?
It's genuine hides in this model thankfully.
Comes standard or only with ultra luxury package?
We recommend you see the Lexus website
