Its ok, no need to regret. Camry it' a nice looking car ! I was looking for it and Subaru Leagacy But I end up a USED 2017 Lexus 350 which it's basically same price $27k Loving it so much!!!!!
I just bought the 2013 version of this car, with only 30k miles on it. IMO, it looks and drives like new. I do have the front sonar sensors disabled (via programmer). But as far as daily driving, this car will spoil you with comfort and purpose. It is an absolute joy to drive.
This would be your dream car? Curious why is that? I'm a gambler and would put a big bet down because it says LEXUS! And to you, and many others, it says expensive, it says I'm somebody. Back then AND TODAY, all you had to do is spend a week with the Genesis G80, back the Hyundai Genesis and and this 350 wouldn't be your dream car anymore
Lexus is so reliable...I owned lexus all thru the 90s and early 00s. I had to go back..I gave up on BMW and the unnecessary fancy gadgets/sensors because of the unreliability..the ES and GS are good comfortable daily drivers..Ill keep the hellcat for the weekends..lol
I test drove a GS350 and ES350 Saturday. Both were 2016s. I felt like the ES was an upscale Avalon. Beautiful car. The rear wheel drive, among other things, swayed me to buy the GS. But nonetheless, I left impressed with both the GS and ES models and with Lexus in general. If I had the money and need, I would've bought them both. Very nice cars.
Thank you so much for your longer term Lexus testimony. I've been looking for such videos which are few to say the least. Awesome testimony. Kudos to you.
I have this same car except mine is 2017 with tan interior. Bought it CPO in December, 2020. It has been a great ride..just rolled over 40,000 in December, 2021. I just got it serviced; I drive it like a little old lady going to church on Sunday...
Owner from brand new 2016 Lexus ES 350 at 120k miles: Car can feel slightly underpowered and needs a little more torque. It depends on RPM for pick up and there is a little too much delay when you need immediate power. Ride can be stiff for bigger bumps. Takes small bumps well though. LED low beams a bit too dark; high beams are good. 6 speed transmission feels a bit archaic. Seat not too comfortable. Gas mileage - so so. Does not run well on regular gas. Almost requires Super/93 octane. Overall still a better car than most midrange midsize cars.
I laughed when you said the roof got dented by an acorn, Your dad should probably avoid trees haha. I love this design of this generation ES and previous. The 2019 looks too subtle.
Wonder how it will hold up since they’re made in Kentucky now and not in Japan..., always a bit worried about Cars built here compared to good old Japan
About the same quality. The Toyota Corolla is built in the usa since it's debut in the 1980s. I once had a 2004 Lexus RX330 made in Japan and that thing is built like a tank and made it to 176k miles before getting rid of it. My dad got rid of his 2011 Lexus RX350 built in the Ontario plant because the steering rack leaked because of the Texas heat beating on it and my dad has never serviced the fluid. Thank goodness most cars and crossovers nowadays uses EPAS instead of hydraulic power steering.
I am strongly against them being built in the U.S for the american market. Only the *Japanese* can make these cars at a high level of quality, no one else! #MakeLexusJapaneseAgain
Nice car but def a lot of features missing compated to my Lincoln for. The fake leather looks nice but I wonder how comfortable it is. I font like the backseat storage it doesn't look right if something is in there, no digital speedometer, I don't think the backseat fold down no cooled or ac seats are the immediate killers for me.
dont even comprare this to v6 accord i had 09 in family dam that thing was very fast and handles great my camry now goes 80 pmh with 2 rpm you can barely feel it 4 cyl i can only imagine how smooth this lexus is
Great video! I agree with you with the front wheel drive acceleration, hanging on for dear life! For your dad, I’d recommend a Ford Explorer sport. Pretty quick, seats 6 or 7, and it handles well in snow and ice. What trim or options do you recommend for a Lexus? My mom wants an RXL and she’s not sure what options are really worth it, or if a 450 is worth the extra money.
Ur front bumper has been replaced if not by then by ur dealer may be in the lot they hit the bumper wth something but for sure sure sure the front bumper has been replaced or repaired
I do not like that Lexus still does not support Apple Car Play or Android Auto. I know a few people that will no longer purchase a Lexus until they do. Other than that Lexus makes an awesome car. As usual, AWESOME VIDEO!!!
My grandparents ES just hit 100k miles yesterday, and it’s in pretty good condition..My grandmother is trying to convince my grandfather to allow her to trade to for something newer.
Disney Fan My grandmother wants too. She really wants a Yukon Denali, but she is willing to trade it for a newer ES. She had a 18 NX300 for a week while the ES was in for the airbag recall, and for the 43k price tag it was (to me) worth every penny... My grandmother wasn’t very fond of the styling of the NX. I actually thought it looked rather good, just not with those base wheels.
Mark G Wow, I know that the car could make it to 200k miles it made it to 100k just fine with no issues whatsoever...I don’t know how you called it a piece of shit if you have no idea about the reliability of the vehicle.
they are not the same, driving refinements in ES350 is totally different than in Camry, yes the chassis are the same but the drivetrain is not same, u been listening the wrong people about these cars, take a test drive in each of them and pay extra attention how they drive, if u dont know how to distinguish the ride quality in a car that means same for u ofc.
I regret buying my 2019 Camry Hybrid. Should have bought a used Lexus ES.
I'm in the process of trading my 2016 camry le for this 2016 es 350! I like this car alot

I trade my 2013 Es hybrid for 16 ES. Love it!!

The ES is definitely one of my dream cars!
it may not be a s fun to drive as the 3series but it is still a great car smooth reliable roomy if only it had awd:(
It is gorgeous! What do you drive?

Congrats on your purchase!! What colour/spec did you get on your GS?
I didn’t know that the es350 came in rwd! I thought it was only fwd.
LOVE the color! And a window tint would make the car look so much more premium
We just purchased two '18 ES 350's Ultra Luxury and we LOVE them!

I am looking at a 2019 es350 fsport. Any suggestions? Maintenance cost?

I just purchased this car and same color two weeks ago and I LOVE IT🤩🥰❤❤
Congratulations 🎉 I'm hoping for one around Xmas !
how much did you pay. I'm 6'4 you think I can fit?
Around 23,000, the inside is very spacious my boyfriend is 6'2 and has plenty room when he drives it.
Trella H nice, do you believe 28,000 miles is good ? I want to buy a used one
Yes, just make sure the previous owner kept up on the maintenance

Dude, your front bumper has been removed and polished to say the least. Look at the white discoloration at the inner edge of it.
I think you are right too much of a gap
just bought a 2017 with 16k miles for 28k, has everything but the built in nav but has the app support for it
Congrats!! It'll treat you well
Swapping out an ES 350 for a Jeep seems sacrilege. 🤦🏼♂️
Hopefully your family will keep it for 250k+ miles like my family's es300!

Did this car come with the low profile tires before you changed them?
"Oil every 10,000 miles" mhh...for me no more than 5k-6k oil change interval
Gerry Calasi - I’d say 8k with only top tier synthetics - Amsoil Signature, Mobile 1, Penzoil Platinum. The rest of the oils - 4k miles
Can the 2016 gps give you google maps for directions? I hate iphones, I prefer android.
Loving this car and nice video but don't you wonder why the POWER TRUNK cannot close with Key lol It just make NO SENSE to me...
They say the older models are quieter and a softer ride.
Great car and video
Great review. Thanks for sharing.
Almost as happy as 10k off a Grand Cherokee!
Why does Toyota and Lexus have the same door chime on them for the new ones on the Avalon and Camry and the newer cars ?
Cause they’re the same cars. Lexus is toyota
My DAD says gators so aggressive cause they got all them teeth and no toothbrush 🤪
can you do a pov test drive on your bmw 3 series
I hate the front fascia so much, miss the old school Lexus designs
47k on a Lexus IS nothing
What is the difference between 2016 vs 2017
Nothing between those years, the differences are between ‘13-15 vs ‘16-18
0-60 in 6 seconds....6 and a half seconds that's a big leap
Ur front bumper has been replaced if not by then by ur dealer may be in the lot they hit the bumper wth something but for sure sure sure the front bumper has been replaced or repaired
Definitely replacement bumper, the uneven gap really shows between the bumper and the metal side panel
