Great review man. For those interested in this guy I highly suggest you wait for the reissue because they're using a newer more articulated body. Slap in the face for those who bought the first release I know.

In theory, I have no issues with third party companies tackling licensed figures. It (sometimes) allows us to get some great renditions of licensed characters that we might not have gotten otherwise (ex: “Inkblot” gave us a Mezco-style Rorschach), and it’s a victimless crime since these big companies aren’t going to feel any financial loss.
What I DO have some issue with is the price that third party companies charge for their unlicensed figures of licensed characters. They don’t have to pay the substantial prices required to use these licenses, but rather than pass the savings on the the consumer, they charge just as much or more for figures than companies like Mezco do. And you can’t even make the argument that they have to charge more because their not mass producing their stuff because it’s not like Mezco mass produces stuff either. We’re not talking about Hasbro or Mattel here where they make a million toys a day.
I just don’t agree with the pricing scheme of some of these third party companies.
The way I see it is they don’t make as much and they take more time to make than bigger companies since companies have thousands of workers. So they have to up there price to make it worth the time. I own a shop and sell sculptures and I have to price them higher since the time it takes to make them.
Sculpt and scuff marks Looks exactly like the McFarlane toys DC Multiverse’s Slade Wilson. Amazing!
Great review Wade. 100% agree with your thoughts. Mine looks great on the shelf, but after an hour of messing with him, I don’t ever want to have to pick him up again, especially as the right forearm on mine has a habit of falling off! 😕
On an unrelated note, it's crazy how iconic the arkham origins design for Slade. It has just become the go to look for him in a lot of people's and companies eyes
Great review! Despite all of its flaws I’m really interested in buying this figure which before watching your review I wasn’t. And with Ricks modifications I hope most of the issues can be solved. Now to find one for a decent price.

The criticisms are valid. That said, I love this figure.
I put the sheath through the hole one the strap and I used the unmaked head on my Classified Snake Eyes body from the Timber two pack cause that head deserves to be displayed.
I missed the Mezco and now I don't regret it. If you have that one you certainly don't need this one, but if you need a Deathstroke like I did, this is a great figure. Everytime I pass my display my eye falls on this figure, he's beautiful on the shelf.

Apparently there’s an improved version to be released next month. Better articulation and a few other improvements
I've seen people give this guy a new body and undersuit and just transplant all the armor. Doing so fixes a majority of the issues I had... but for the price that shouldn't be necessary. Thanks for the awesome review; I'm still really torn on if I want to track this guy down.
dont quote me on this, but im like 95% sure the armour is like pretty much all recasted/retooled mcfarlane deathstrome armour
The armor parts are retooled from the mcfarlane arkham origins deathstroke
@@enterthefigurezone9561 yeah thats what i thought, looks like they made the texture sharper and got rid of some of the slashes and bullet holes in the sculpt
It's definitely an interesting figure just not fun to pose like you said also so you know two of the guns are actually re-use from the Mezco PX Exclusive Deathstroke the sniper rifle and the assault rifle with the gold trim.
Also the sword and scabbard is also from the Mezco Deathstroke (both regular and PX). The other stuff are original from what I can tell I love the staff weapon.

I like to play with my toys so if the articulation is the weakest aspect I gotta pass. Still love my Icons version though🙋🏻♂️
I forgot I got this figure in pre order and he never came because I didn't pay the rest of the amount. Might wait for a reissue tho
All I could focus on was those hands, and when you swapped them I thought damn now the proportions look better but you need the Mezco to do that, I'm good with my ol' TODDY MAC Slade for now, but the classic is his best look imo so I'm just waiting patiently as I do for all DC characters I enjoy, this was a straight up review WADE thanks

Damn, I preordered this guy and got him in. So far 3rd party figures hadn't let me down yet. I have the mezco PX deathstroke but I never got the orange and blue costume. I was looking forward to the mcfarlane as I was hoping that it would have a good sculpt and articulation but your review helped me pass it up. I was hoping this would have been the definitive deathstroke.

Yeah, it’s literally the same sculpt as Mcfarlane's, I feel Mix Max either bought a bunch of McF or just straight up made a mold out of it; cause it feels like they added only the soft goods under-suit and pants and stripped McF’s armour and attached it with glue or elastic bands.
It IS the McFarlane Deathstroke, dressed up with some fancy cloth, and MezKO weapons. The sculpt is 100% McFarlane sculpt

I totally see how your title applies, he does suck and shines in different things. I think he's okay, but a bit too pricey considering the drawbacks he has. Still, I like that you explain all the points of view and then each one of us can decide on our own depending on our needs, that's a good review!

No one has pointed out that all of the sculptured armor and the feet are molded directly from the McFarlane Deathstroke figure. Just an observation. Articulation is definitely worse than the McFarlane though.
A few people have said that already but it’s false. It’s obviously the same design so thats maybe where the confusion is coming from
Minor annoyance? That Banda piece is a pain in my ass haha falls off all the time. I’m happy with him despite everything and the no trigger fingers was the worst part for me .

I should really should watch whole videos before commenting lol. I do it all the time I pause it comment on one thing watch more hear something else, comment and repeat as much as needed. But yeah I wasn’t as disappointed in articulation as u seem to be. I mean for mezco price definitely not as good articulated but honestly paint and sculpt are on par and I wasn’t mad at the articulation. It does enough and can get some good looking poses/ pictures
