You hit the nail on the head comparing the two bikes. Both bikes are very good "one bike solutions" but maybe not for the same rider. The Delano is definitely going to be less overbiked on typical blue trails and can still do big bike things at normal trail speeds. The Ripmo despite being on the small end of the enduro category does big bike things very well, but is still much more nimble than most enduro bikes so still rides decently when on more mellow trails. The Ripmo is also the bike that can turn an ordinary blue trail into an enduro stage simply because it can carry an absolute ton of speed and feel stable at those speeds.

Love my Delano Peak! I've had it about 15 months and have about 1500 miles on it. It hasn't disappointed yet.

Thanks for answering the question that we all have. I’m with you Mo, I’m more of a person who wants a bike to do everything. And if I need a more of a rowdy bike then I’ll demo. This was exactly what I needed thanks for taking the time and sharing your experience! Love the channel!

Love my Delano Peak Elite. Grabbed a set of Berd Hawk27 wheels recently and the bike really became my favorite of all time.
I also have 1 bike for MTB and 1 (Scott addict gravel) for road/ gravel and both of these bikes excel at being able to take on 95% of the gamut in their categories

Love my delano peak, totally agree with the climbing and descending capabilities of the bike. I also liked that you could spec the bike with a sram or a shimano build. One minor issue I run into is that the cuff of my shorts catches on the upper pivot sometimes when I am moving around on descents.

I’ve ridden both bikes. Both are fun trail bikes. Ripmo does have the edge in suspension feel with dw link (so supple) and dh capabilities with its longer travel. I think for most people the Delano is great especially for the price. But money wasn’t a factor, I’d be on a ripmo

Great review, I think people really seem to get caught up on what type of bike to ride since there are really so many options to choose from. You hit nailed the issue with “this bike fits how I ride and what trails I ride” that is how you pick a bike.

Been riding my Lush Green Delano Peak since May 14th 2022. Have about 700 miles on it ride a 10.4 mile loop 4 times a week building fitness and skills. Have had no issues except being a beginning mountain biker I did toast the composite brake pad on the rear in my first 2 months of panic braking. But since I took a few lesson I still have the original front and the new rear is holding up better without my deathgrip on the rear brake. I rode a friends YT Jeffsy on a trail that I ride my Delano everyday and the Jeffsy was hard to hold a line at speed. I ride a trail I refer to as roller coaster cause it is and up and down ridge line which is very narrow. I don't even think about losing the line with the Delano but was feeling like I was bouced off my line, which was scary considering the exposure, with the Jeffsey. I have DVO suspension as well front and back and the rebound adjustment is very responsive and I have it dialed with slower rebound which could be why I feel planted on the Delano. Still cannot figure out the HSC on the DVO but finally figure out the OTT and LSC pretty well. Overall this bike and DVO is very flexible and can accomodate a lot of different situations with very small adjustments. Shock air pressure can be increased and decreased with the OTT without sacrificing small bump compliance so I can hit some drops that would bottom out a 150 with my weight at the recommended SAG and still have a comfortable ride with higher pressure.

I have an interesting story about DVO. I have a DVO diamond 3, and ordered their service kit with seals.
First bike mechanic said they wouldn't fit the fork.
Sent the fork to Trail Labs, they said the fork was actually a suntour axum rebranded as a DVO. Hmmmm

Seems that the fact that you’re sponsored currently by Fezzari makes it impossible to make a fair comparison even if that’s your intent.

Fair point! But at the same time we have been riding bikes and offering our opinions for a long time and a lot of people reach out asking what we think. We try our best to give our honest answers and also understand that won't be good enough for everyone. Luckily so many awesome youtubers out there like MTB Yumyum that are not affiliated with a brand if you want another opinion!

It would be interesting for you to test the Delano in a long travel set up. I think you can add another 7 mm to the rear travel. Then get your opinion if that is worth it.

Would have loved to hear a few more comparisons to the Ripley, being that you feel like it was more of a do everything bike than the Ripmo for your style of riding... So, Delano Peak or Ripmo?!?

Love the vlog and review but in all honesty, you just made the decision making progress even more difficult. Lol. I’m not sure if you can answer this or not since you have a sponsorship with Fezzari but if you could only have one bike… what would it be? If you can’t answer, no worries, certainly understand but if you can, it would certainly make things a bit clearer for me as I know the types of trails you love to shred from your great vids! 🤙🏼

Long shock and add 10mm to the form of this bike by removing spacers. Keeps 98% of climbing ability and gains a TON on gnarly downhill trails. Still feels great on XC flowy trails unlike the ripmo

So wait, aren't you still sponsored by Fezzari? So wouldn't your sponsor be upset if you told your audience that you missed Ibis and thought they were a better brand? How can this be unbiased?

    • @moandhannahtravel
      @moandhannahtravel  2 роки тому +1

We are still sponsored by Fezzari but we get a ton of requests on our opinions from people who have watched our reviews for years. We try our best to give our honest answers and also understand that won't be good enough for everyone. Luckily so many awesome youtubers out there like MTB Yumyum that are not affiliated with a brand if you want another opinion! But if you want the opinion of someone who has ridden both bikes extensively then there you go!
