I don't know who took this footage, but he's a great cameraman. I saw him with his tiny video camera and instead of stopping him from filming as I normally would, I let it go. Glad I did as I would've otherwise forgotten about that moment with the kid.
Vanduzel, I used to stop videos and photographs from being taken of me for two reasons: I travel a lot and when entering another country, eventually the border control will have access to face recognition and will stop me from entering their country if they know that I’m a street performer. The second reason is the people taking vids and photos rarely if ever tip. As if they’re doing me a favor by taping me. They take my work for their own use. As for asking them to stop taping or photographing me, I just politely ask them to stop. Watch me while I’m here, not on a little 4 inch screen.
This was recorded in San Antonio Tx. USA.Might I remind all those who would try to stop someone from videoing them, under US law you cannot prevent someone recording you. You can ask them to stop but you cannot force them to. When appearing in public you have no expectation of privacy. This is the same law that protects you when videoing the police.
@@josephthomasmusic First of all FEDERAL APPEALS COURT has ruled that it is legal to film Anyone in public at anytime. If you appear in public you have no expectation of privacy. Many states have laws that restrict your right to record either audio or video or both but when challenged in court those laws are thrown out. The 6th district court has restricted your right to record police and other government employees while on duty. But that only applies to government employees. That's why traffic cameras and other security cameras are legal. STATE COURTS ARE VERY OFTEN WRONG IN THEIR INTERPRETATION OF THE CONSTITUTION. Which is the supreme law of the land.
@@josephthomasmusic I have known Eric Evans for over 30 years. I know his reasons for not wanting to be recorded . He and I text each other almost daily. Theft of intellectual property is rampant in the entertainment industry. There is no real way to stop it and worrying about it is a waste of time. Almost all attempts to steal from other performers are a miserable failure. In so far as international travel goes you hand them your passport - ITS GOT YOUR PICTURE ON IT!
Hey it's my old buddy Eric! We miss you at the Spek! Nice clean video...I'm still doing Slydini silks in Thailand! Best wishes, King Robert! Oh an nice waist jacket...I have the same.

Mr. Evans, do you usually stop people from filming? Why is that? How is it a polite way to ask them to not record? Thanks
