The students don't only wear the academic attire on graduation day, they usually wear it all year round

i'm surprised you didn't talk about Praxe Académica ! we take it very seriously here in Portugal and the Traje Académico is related to that as of today (not why it was invented at the time, but while in Praxe Académica we do all have to wear it). Praxe is basically kind of a way to make freshman feel welcome at a new college and to meet new people, as well as teaching students we are not better than anyone else, we are all equal and we have to stick together and help each other out, as we are better together. Also, we have dinner parties, serenades and other academic festivities, and we all get drunk together lmao. It's an "old" tradition we keep very much alive in Universities here.

That is what university students wear while going to university they also fill their robes with patches that display their academic achievements

Not in Coimbra (where this video was filmed). We are known for being the "black capes" which means we don't sew anything on them.

@@inescosta2671 Em Coimbra, o mais comum é mesmo não coser. Ficam apenas como recordação.

"It just smells like old books. I feel like I've gotten 20% smarter just by being in here."
"It's literally just a big piece of fabric." - " I already feel like 20 times smarter and more regal."
    Make sense.

    Fun fact
You are forbidden to clean the cloaks
If it truly needs let rain clean it or go to a beach to bath with it

    “It looks like Harry Potter!”
Library looks nothing like the library in movie.
It does however look almost exactly like the library in the live action Beauty and the Beast

No offense, but I think you're mistranslating 'livraria' to library. It translates to 'bookstore.' And JK Rowling herself has explicitly stated that she's never stepped foot in that bookstore.

you guys should do your home work better, dont you know you're not suposed to translate names?
there is no such thing as "Cafe majestic" in Porto. though, there is "Majestic Café"
also, bookstore is "Livraria" so you just says "lello bookstore bookstore".. what a bunch of nerds.
