People are waking up to Labor's BS, but they're not waking up to the fact that voting for anyone other than the LNP will lead us to another term of Labor... I'm afraid we're all going to have to strap in for things to get a hell of a lot worse before people learn!!
The cost of electricity has climbed more than double. For years I paid less than 600 per quarter, in the last 3 quarters I'm averaging 1500 dollars. I simply can't afford it. I live in an area which frequently goes to 45 degrees, so what am I supposed to do suffer from heat stroke and wind up in hospital or turn on my air conditioner and not eat for months as I pay my electric bill. They are insane, lies will NOT get you voted back in. And as for my family we will NEVER vote for Labour again!
I hvent had a meter reading in 8 yrs always a guesstimate I watched my normal bill go from 400( that's lights TV fridge n fans if I use them in summer) to close to 800 last month I was clear all paid up just got my new bill with power usage n new charges all itemised for 600..... but no one has red my meter so htf do they claim itemisation when they haven't red the meter???

@@letmeexplain1816asks other countries. Meanwhile between Indonesia, Vietnam, India, China and Japan they're building, or have just completed, 600 new coal power stations.
In my opinion we should be paying less for less electricity not more. I’m not really sure about this law but doesn’t the government have to supply water, electricity and gas 24/7 to this country. It’s an old law but still I’m pretty sure that is in our laws about this issue.
Government "relief" is not reducing power prices. We the taxpayer are paying for that "relief" which means we're actaully paying more than what shows on the bill. Then there is the massive subsidies to the "renewables" operators.
Stop spending money on stop gap measures, and handouts. We want real lasting solutions. I don't want a government rebate, I want a government power station. I don't want a wind farm, I want efficient, constant power generation so I don't need to run a generator. Stop waisting my money on things that don't actually fix the problem.
Well even if the costing was back then you still have Albo and Bowen saying renewables are cheaper but is it as it needs taxpayers money to buy you same as EVs. But you hear turning off you lights and AC but nothing about charging your EV at home and the reason would be counter to Bowens push then against the green narrative. That would only increase the drain on the grid as EV draws way more power than the lights and AC combined as adoption of this tech increase.
The only advantage Australia had over other countries in manufacturing was cheap power. Go to Gladstone and you’ll clearly see that this advantage has gone “bye bye”
We desperately need Labor supporters to push aside their bias for the next election. You can’t vote for Labor in its modern form. Vote them out, teach them a lesson, and hopefully they become electable in the years to come. But that is not now.
They need to stop talking about zero fuel cost renewable. The market is set to meet peak demand. Batteries set the price at peak demand, coupled with existing and new network infrastructure, prices are not coming down.
As much as I don't like him, at least Steven Miles gave Queenslander a $1000 credit to all electricity accounts, which has honestly kept the lights on and will as my bill is only about 4-500 bucks a quarter. This Federal govt is an absolute joke!
So you think by giving you the $1000 credit your ahead. Your comment clearly shows why Australia is going 💩. There’s nothing as a free lunch, you’ll pay for it elsewhere or in time for sure

Let's start imagining what blackouts will look like in Australia. (I know what it looks like in South Africa). I think that we have very complicated roads intersections which is controlled with traffic lights instead of free-flowing "spaghetti intersections" in many places. (We also have large "spaghetti" interchanges especially with our freeways, I know). I have counted up to 23 traffic lights in some of our intersections. I can only think that complicated intersections might be a major problem when blackouts occur for days at end.

Paul , these jokers , Albanese, Bowen , Chalmers are the biggest peddlers of misinformation i have ever seen in Australia . I have an electricity bill behind a fridge magnet to be paid for $ 1006.00 dollars , and thats a common bill for us this time of year , most of our 60 year old house is electric , in winter with the heater on and summer with the AC on the bill goes up, every bill i keep waiting for these magic cheaper bills that these clowns keep promising. I'm old and with health challenges, so im home all the time . I wanna know when cheaper electricity is coming. I'm in victoria , in the last year we have seen electricity remain high , gas prices up , water price up , since about this time last year we had two council rate rises in total a 37% rise , car rego price up , , plus the usual stuff , food etc high prices . We had house insurance but cancelled it because we cannot afford it . We have already spoke to our car insurers and downgraded it to cut costs . Both Labor federal and state Labor victoria need to be sacked ASAP .
Solar is the cheapest energy available. Rooftop solar + batteries could power our whole country. The price of solar has dropped 90% in the last 10 years, & at the same time increased efficiency & longevity. Many panels now have a 30 year warranty, and one brand has 40 yrs. Solar can pay for itself in under 5 years & a 10kWh household battery in under 10 years. The world is racing to transition to solar wind & batteries because installing new SWB systems cost less than just the running cost of gas, oil, coal, nuclear energy generation. EVs can be powered during the day, & power your house in the evening with V2G capability. The next big energy disruption that will end coal & soon after, gas.
