My living memory of Billy goes back 40 years & he just never lived up to the hype. Same chops for decades. Artistically, his high point is still the bar trick stuff he did w/ Vai's help in the DLR days. (His actual high point was Talas, but they were more or less a secret). Have YOU heard his influence in other players? Who? I just haven't heard his influence in other player's work nor do I hear him mentioned as an influence by other players. For the future he promised in 1982, Billy Sheehan was a bust.
