You can repair those pretty easily. Thrift another pair in a similar wash, then cut small pieces to patch from the underside. Visible mending is actually a thing these days, and that area isn’t that easily seen anyway. Good luck!

aw thank you so much! it’s actually one that my sister gave me - she found it at the thrift store and cropped it herself☺️ so unfortunately it’s a bit of a one-of-a-kind thing but it might be possible to duplicate it💕
