Your fave Shaggy is Problematic 🥺💕
Big problematic
It's such a shame to hear people have been disappointed with this film. I was genuinely excited to see it, but after hearing what people have said, it's probably not what I was hoping for. Scooby-Doo can be great when the right people are behind it (I'm actually a big fan of the first two-live action films), but this clearly had too many hands in the pot. I'll still give it a watch, but I'm not shelling out the cash right now.
The director for this movie (Tony Cervone) did work on plenty of Scooby properties (most notably Mystery Incorporated and most of the DVD movies from the first half of the 2010s), though I'd say the writing did bring this down.
@@BlythePennyBicycle21 Yeah, I don't blame him. I blame Hollywood.
Yeah, this whole movie was a mess and everything Juke said about Shaggy and Scooby being mad at the gang and having the gang feel guilty makes zero sense since the gang did defend Scooby and Shaggy. Though what's crazy is that if they didn't defend Scooby and Shaggy, then it would make them look like jerks, so either way, it makes zero sense!
as a Die-Hard Scooby-Doo fan and I'd just rented SCOOB And I'd thought it was Okay But it should have been a simple Mystery Story with simple a plot
It really didn’t need this big story at all
@@Mannof1000Thoughts If not else, they should've built up to a bigger story like Mystery Incorporated, as you mentioned.
1:43 that's A BIG SHOCKER! A Scooby-Doo movie with no mystery
1:14 many Scooby-Doo fans would agree that Mystery Incorporated is the most Underrated Scooby-Doo series with the End of the World building type of plot
Here a pitch for a Hanna-Barbera Cinematic Universe quote on quote why not have a big mystery with all the Scooby-Doo and gang have solve this unsolvable case and you can throw in some of the other Hanna-Barbera Scooby-Doo clones that existed as some Rivals like Jabberjaw, Speed Buggy Captain Caveman and the Teen Angels or who ever to help solve it and boost at the roster and maybe if you want to be some kind of hint in the background that there could be more say that in the movie save at the end credits like you said.
to think the two live action Scooby-Doo movies from Back in the early 2000's had a much better story and mysteries within those two live action Scooby-Doo movies and yes I'd liked the two live action Scooby-Doo movies from the Early 2000's there my guilty pleasures
Yesss the epic crossover i’ve been waiting for !!!
Well, as long as it's better than the live action movies.
I honestly couldn’t even give it that
Glad to see am not the only one who thought the animation movement was badly done and the comedic timing being really off

*W H A T*
7:46 The BIGGEST Missed opportunity they should have gotten Matthew Lillard to return to do the voice of Shaggy
Personally, guess I'm part of the older fan group as I would had LOVE the film had it set in the 80's and was an mystery adventure that is worth its film length! Like the mystery is like Sherlock Holme (Robert Downing Jr)!
The only saving grace was their take on the olde Scooby intro eventhought they added abit of their stuff into it like Fred dating his car! Also while I know cinematic universe are over done now but I am interest in their take of their universe like the bit in the credit!
Lastly, I liked that the kid Blue Falcon wasn't an ahole like I thought he would add a futher wedge between the two when he talked to Shaggy after Scooby got his suit. Oh and I liked that Dick has more meat into him instead of his usual skinny self!
Momma was such a good track to use here.
And, yeah I saw a number of bits from this movie recently and it feels like it lacks authenticity and my main gripe, like you said, is that they take Scooby Doo characters and make them do things that... well, aren't very Scooby Doo. The VA situation is one thing, and I'm all for artistic freedom, but the complete disregard for everything that made the franchise what it was felt dishonest and a little insulting, especially when it's made clear that the product was more interested in leeching off the notoriety of Scooby Doo than paying tribute to it and its legacy. Not even in a satirical or self-aware fashion, a literal shallow cash-grab and nothing more.
Yeah you can definitely smell the money leading this movie. Tackle on no sense of direction and it just feels like everything wrong with a lot of Hollywood movies. This movie didn’t need any of these different HB characters but Warner bro’s really wanted another crack at a cinematic universe which is getting tiring now.
Remember Harvey Birdman Attorney at Law?
Well it's basically "what If butchering Hanna Barbara characters worked out."
Nice Vid
At 7:57 her costume kinda reminds me of captain marvel
5:42 5:52😂😂😂
Lets be real everbody only wants to watch this movie for one reasson:
DDDDDDDIIIICCCCCKKKKKK.
Why did they have to do Fred like that poor guy
Scoob is one of the most disappointing movies I've ever seen since Sponge out of water. This movie does nothing but pandering. You know with all 'em emoji and the snapchat and the netflix and all that shit. It also not funny, which is ironic given how Scooby-Doo is mostly comedy based. I only got like 3 chuckles, but the rest of the comedy is just "look at us we're hip and cool" nonsense. Despite being about Scooby-Doo, it doesn't feel like Scooby-Doo. It's missing that mystery aspect that made Scooby-Doo for what it is. In fact, this movie would've been a little better if the villain was a mystery so the main heroes can figure it out who they are. But that's not the worse part. The worst thing about Scoob is the fact it tries to open the hanna barbera cinematic universe and it did a terrible job. Imagine if Marvel went straight to the Avenger and ignore the build up the MCU had. What an idea go to waste. I can't believe I'm saying this, this is the worst Scooby-Doo iteration ever. Yes, worse than Be cool Scooby. This year so far as the movie goes has been decent for me, but this is just why. To the people that like Scoob, I'm not taking your enjoyment away from you. If you like it, good for you. If I could rate this movie, it will be 4.5/10. It's going to date this movie so badly! I'm still waiting for that third Spongebob movie release on VOD.
7:33 Granted Will Forte is a funny actor LOVED Him in The Last Man on Earth But he should Never Voice Shaggy Again Ever
I'm scared about this film😅
You should be
@@Mannof1000Thoughts haha😂
those tiny bots just scream "BUY ME, BUY MY TOY". like what they fuck they don't fit at all with the look of the movie.
is it me or is new velma's design not right? like her hair looks fake and dyed like a cosplayer.
They invested so much in the cinematic universe aspect that they lost the spirit of what makes Scooby Doo the wonderful thing it has always been. Treating Shaggy as a petty bitch really ruined it for me and Forte sucked as a voice actor for him. Lillard was perfect. I liked the movement but it did look like Hotel Transylvania 😥.
I was really disappointed by the movie and frustrated that I let it into my brain as part of the SD franchise. It felt like quite the departure and a cash grab more than anything else.
I always appreciate your thoughtful critiques and commentary.
you got a letterboxd man?
I thought this is a scooby doo movie not a hanna barbera laugh a lympics reboot.
*Inhale* So....I'm just gonna ask.... Is the original Blue Falcon DEAD?
He’s alive just retired
the live action Scooby-Doo movies are better then this
Did this nigga just dab
Sigh... yyyep
I just watch it and it uh was kind of ehhhh
But which movie is better? Scoob, or Zombie Island 2?
*0/10!*
A movie for kids that barely recognizable as the IP, yet has lots of Hannah Barbara reference. Just a awful movie.
