Seems like a lot of viewers are missing the forest for the trees on my "Only 500m" comment, the point isn't that 500m isn't deep enough, the point is that 500m isn't enough to justify the thickness of the watch, considering the price point.
Also, The crown is a bit of a pain when you need to use it because it's counter intuitive when you put it on the opposite side. So like the video demonstrates you end up flipping the watch around when you use the crown.
Ive always used my watch’s on my right wrist no issues to regulate time as u said just turned it around by the way we always need to remove our automatic’s from wrist soo no worries! My opinion Sinn is stretching a lot is prices ! Not sure if it’s because they are very fashionable on Japan !!! 😎😳
The Tudor has a steel case back and the 2 long flat bars that hold the bracelet together are made of steel, the actual outside of the clasp is titanium.
I appreciate the effort that went into making this review- a compilation of various dive watches, scrubbing their comparative specs etc. That being said: “ONLY 500m’s”??? Unless you’re a deep sat diver- MOST of us whose JOB or recreational activities see us venturing into the water, will NEVER go anywhere near 500m- much less deeper than that. I guess…for bragging rights (it’s your money after all) that ability (500m + depth resistance) is a nice to have and compare- but from a real world practical use that the majority of water borne “activists”(?) will brave….500m is plenty good enough, IMHO. Good review all the same, brother. 👍🏽
The point was that for how thick and expensive it is, it could've been engineered to have better tolerances that would've enabled a greater depth rating or have the same depth rating in a thinner profile.
@@AverageBrosI disagree. In 2023, I cannot think of too many premium divers, (Sinn aside) at 500m depth rated that’s LESS than 14.5.mmm. Also, the in house movement revamped model was done in 2016 I believe. Point is- WHEN this came out- at 500m, this thickness (14mm) was the norm or to be expected. And I think recently- the Pelly 39 sort of satisfies the “smaller capable diver” itch crowd ,IMHO.
Is this in reference to my comment that the Pelagos 39 should've been 300m WR? It's more about appropriately "classing" the 39 between the 42 and FXD and less about any need for 100m more WR.
@@AverageBros I've been to 90m depth on just one breath (where majority of scuba divers never go) and I find more than 200m WR with screw-down crown useless.
Hi man , have got these 2 pieces, all are great awesome watches, great designs if we where all thinking about the WR , thickness, design etc., we only buy same watches 😊 Love my Tudor LHD as I love my Sinn U50 Tegimented on bracelet or on rubber or with the awesome Sinn canvas straps my opinion like all them ! My opinion the Tudor as better action bezel but the Sinn it’s a more tool and hard core watch!

...and that's why Pelagos 39 is so much superior watch for everyone except pro-divers.

It has an novel written on the dial!

@@AverageBros I get it. I believe the older ETA version of the Pelagos was thinner at 500m. It got thicker since they went to their in house movement.
@@r.l.marcelle8665 Tudor have thinner watches with manufacture movements too, not really an excuse in 2023.

@@r.l.marcelle8665 come on, the Squale 50 Atmos is thinner and it's been around forever
SLA over the Tudor and I like Tudor.
Do you do a lot of deep sea diving to need a depth rating greater than 200m?

@@ahojnazdar3656 yeah, again, not about any functional requirements, more about classing the models and keeping away from overlap
U50 is much nicer

Sinn > Tudor all day
Tudor and Rolex case design is so lazy.
Agree on Tudor! I feel like the same can’t be said for Rolex since they originated all of their case designs.
sinn is not as great as people think
